"I love you."

The world stopped around them but the rain and reality didn't. It was the bitter truth that they lived in. She didn't said anything nor did any of the words left her lips. Silently staring at him as circumstances played it's game, twisting and turning the hearts of melancholic lovers.

She smiled.

As the saying is, 'Smiling is a curve that has the power to set many things straight.' but everything seemed dull. Every brightness threw them in a well of darkness, every journey leaded to a destination they hated, the beauty of the finest materials had a visual of ugliness.

"Give me one chance, Sahar. I will make everything fine. I will talk to Izhaan."

She turned towards him. Droplets of rain dropped off the fabric clinging to her being. Her hair wet with rain as she stared at him.

"Irony it is that if I choose you, my life will be snatched away, Shahveer."

"Just tell me if you love me, I will change everything!" He yelled. Things were going out of their hands yet he tried to grip at the last ray of hope, stronger but if she gripped harder, she will be punished down to death.

"You can't change the destiny Shahveer."

"Don't play with the emotions, Sahar. Tell me once and I'll change everything," he requested. A little piece of hope clinging at the bottom of his heart that may be she will change her mind. It was a suprise for him that she didn't felt offended as he thought so that showed she loved him too!

"If only I could play with the emotions, I would change the emotions of the people who are messing up my life," she told with no emotion. Probably tired of how she was played with. Shahveer shook his head, irritated at her responses. He questioned,

"Do you love me or not? Yes or no?"

"Nothing will change even if I say yes."

"Urghh! Tell if it's a yes."

"Yes it is. It's a yes. I love you more than I like Izhaan. Tell me what will you do? You will talk with Izhaan to break this alliance? Even if Izhaan breaks this alliance, even if he walks away from my life for you to enter..." Sahar stated deeply at his eyes, observing all the love and pain he visioned in them. She continued after a brief pause,

"I will die mercilessly like Falak died for absolutely no reason."

"Are you in your senses, Sahar?"

"I am not, Shahveer. I have turned mad when I discovered the dirty truth. It is eating me alive," she yelled sobbing at him. His eyes ran roughly through her face, settling up again at her eyes when she clenched them closed for all the pain her heart beared.

"What is it? What's the truth you are talking about?" He asked.

"Falak died because of her, Shahveer. It was all her obsession," she broke down crying in front of him as flashback of that terrible footage and the things Izhaan said flashed in her mind.

"What are you saying? Elaborate i-t t-to me."

"Miraal killed Falak, Shahveer. Miraal killed Falak." She cried staring down. Hiccupping, she gripped her kurti tightly as she shed several tears.

"W-hat? D-do yo-u hea-r wha-t you are sayin-g?"

"I knew you wouldn't believe me. But trust me Shahveer, Miraal isn't the way she looks."

After a pause, she dragged him towards the lobby of the first floor. Warmness hugged their wet self as they entered the heat arena. She began to tell him everything Izhaan told her.

Shahveer stood struck still couldn't believe a word she said.

"I don't understand anything. Why would Miraal kill Falak just because she wants me? Miraal never expressed to me the way she felt." He sat in the couch with a thud, keeping his head between his palms supported by his knees. A moment of grief silence passed as she sat hopelessly. Never in his life he thought, someone will be so obsessed with him, probably an unhealthy obsession.

"She felt insecure when Falak was around you. Falak lost her life for nothing, Shahveer. Absolutely nothing and now..."

She paused sitting down in front of him. He gazed at her eyes, the truth screamed to ask trust in her eyes from him. A hope that he will believe.

"She threatened Izhaan to marry me within this week. If he doesn't, she will kill me." she hiccuped.

"Nothing will happen to you. I will make sure but please..." He took a hold of her soft and delicate hands. Tightening them in his palms, he said, "Give my love a chance, Sahar. Everybody knows that we love each other. Izhaan will understand."

Their eyes haunting each other's. Throwing balls of fire wrapped with love as their eyes were locked, looking as enchanting as ever. She slowly slid her hand away, the expression of his face changed as soon as she took it away saying, "I have many favours I am burdened with from him. His family gave life to my mother and I. He will understand but I know how much it will break his heart. "

She stood up correcting her kurti. She said, "And I can't break it."

Walking away from him as their hearts screamed in immense pain, as if it teared apart. He kept calling her, "Sahar please. I will repay all his favours but please don't leave me."

"You can't Shahveer. You can never repay," she ran away after stating. He sat there still in the velvet couch beneath him. His heart racing like a marathon. Tears gushing down through his cheeks.

She loved him yet she couldn't be his.

The bouquet fell down from his palm with the rain droplets that was stuck in the roses sprinkled around the carpet as it landed in the arena. The ring box that he had kept in his jeans pocket fell out as he leaned in the couch. Taking it in his hands, he cried staring at the diamond reflecting in the huge light of the chandelier. He whispered staring at the ring,

"Sahar, you will forever stay my best choice."

|Few days later|

The sun seems to have set on the huge inky sky. The purple and royal blue hue spread across the enormous firmament. The call to prayer after the sunset could be heard. The enchanting voice of the muezzin, dispersed across the area. The kids ran through the lane and the elders sat near the mosque listening to the call for the sunset prayer which is magrib salah.

Sahar leaned at the long french window in her room as the sky gave her vast amount of peace, soothing her painful soul. She went towards the washroom after the adhaan was completed, to perform the ablution to pray.

She splashed water on her face again and again after the end of the ablution. Her face felt like a blooming garden with the sedation etching on her skin but what about her heart, her bleeding heart?

Pinning her long prayer scarf which covered upto her hands perfectly, she spread the maroon prayer mat on the cold floor. Standing in the mat appropriately, she started praying the salah.

Soon after finishing it, she began praying to Allah(SWT) asking forgiveness, asking for a peace of moment in her life. At this moment of her life, she couldn't ask for anything. Her heart felt numb yet a lot of pain. She wanted to walk in the darkest lane. She wanted to walk in the way that Allah(SWT) will show ray of light for. She let things happen. She let people decide her life yet Shahveer had a hope but it was too late.

Though Miraal was now exposed. Her lies were all in front of everyone few days back yet Shahveer and Sahar couldn't be together. She felt goosebumps when she remembered the day, Shahveer exposed Miraal himself.

Shahveer had threatened the man who was in charge of the security of the empire hotel. He had a copy of the full footage. Izhaan couldn't get it because he didn't had as much power as the heir of the Siddiqui family, Shahveer had. The only better thing was that the footage copy was given to them. That footage had everything. The way Miraal ruthlessly killed Falak inspite of Izhaan's pleadings.

Rayed was heartbroken when he discovered why Falak died. His sister had to die for no reason. Miraal was arrested the very day Shahveer showed the footage to everyone inspite of Isha's pleads to Shahnawaz to save her daughter. The Siddiqui family weren't too shocked to hear the truth because Miraal was Isha's daughter. Their must be some toxicity she inherited from her mother.

Izhaan was the most relieved to see Miraal behind the bars. The rich spoilt brat couldn't look more powerful behind it.

The relation between Myza's family and Siddiqui family had improved a lot better from the past few days. The attachment of Shahnawaz's and Hashir's friendship was no joke. They were best friends and Hashir had forgiven him. Their friendship was improving a lot better by the days.

The door of her room opened. Sahar looked up towards the person standing near it as she kept the prayer mat after folding it. Meesha came in with a smile. A small smile which didn't meant any happiness.

"The henna artists are here Sahar. Come downstairs fastly after wearing your outfit."

Yes, she was getting married with Izhaan. The wedding was fixed before Miraal was arrested. No one tried to postpone the wedding as everything was done with a snap of their fingers; that power the Siddiqui family held.

She gazed at the at the dark bottle green simple lehenga. She got ready after wearing them. The green glass bangles that she was told to wear matched with the outfit very well but at the end she had to remove them when she will apply henna.

Her hair let down back with a small clip that held the main strands loosely. Applying a stroke of nude brown matte lipstick, she took her phone and walked out of the room. Descending down the stairs, carefully. Her gaze towards the stairs. The whole Siddiqui Mansion was decorated with flowers and lights.

She looked up slowly when he was looking at her. Shahveer. He was taken aback again by her beauty, again.

Tired and tortured eyes, red line occupying the water line. Ruffled hair and wrinkled shirt, his suit laid in his hand. His appearance was something Sahar never imagined. He always had an aura of sweet and welcoming demeanor.

His eyes showed how hopeless he was. There was no happiness, no hope and no emotions. Whereas her screamed pain, unbearable pain.

"Take rest, Shahveer. You look tired," she said looking down back at her lehenga.

"Nothing in the world can take away my tiredness now."

She looked at his eyes. A tear formed in the end of their eyes. "I am sorry, Shahveer." She strode fastly away from him, biting her lip. Her throat threatened to leave a hiccup. He stood there staring as she left.

Quickly wiping away her tears, she went towards living room. Zeenia who was working here and there, handling all the work stopped when Sahar came looking as enchanting as ever.

She hugged Sahar and peck her forehead, smiling. She said, "Only fortunate people get to have daughter-in-law like you."

Sahar smiled. Zeenia had taken care of everything in the preparation. Sahar saw a glimpse of Myza in her for the way she cared about everything related to Sahar. Even Zeenia wanted Sahar to be her daughter-in-law but...

She was made to sit down in the couch. Four artists were there. Two sat on either side of her for applying the henna on hands and two sat down for applying henna on her legs.

She saw how Meesha and their relatives were packing her clothes quickly. Meesha was indeed a blessing in her life as a sister. Her cousins sang nostalgic bollywood songs. She just passed a smile at their jokes and their teases. Every preparation was happening hastily as their was no time left.

Jahangir and Shahnawaz entered the hall. They patted her head from behind.

4-5 hours passed as slowly the mehendi was completing. Shahveer entered the hall with no emotions. Just a poker face displaying nothing. Zeenia went towards him and asked,

"Shahveer, Can you please go and buy a watch for Izhaan? I have no idea how he will like it. We need to keep it in salami."

He looked at his mother. "You can ask Sahar about his likes Mumma. How would I know what he likes?"

"She is busy, Shahveer."

"I'll look into it." He stated with dis pleasant smile.

The artist stopped just before writing the name of the groom in her right hand.

"What the name of the groom?" She asked. Sahar stared at her without answering, her heart wanted to say the name her heart loved yet the reality was bitter and salty. With a lot of courage, she answered,

"Izhaan."
