Both Marx and Elsa stood there ready to fight waiting for one of them to make the first move. It was then interrupted by one of Meili's Mabeasts which ran out from behind him and charged. It looked like a hound but was instantly put down with a swipe of his sword. But as he turned around Elsa was already on the move and already more than halfway to where he stood. She thrusted her blade towards but missed her target as Marx threw himself back and tried to counter attack but was deflected. They started to circle eachother following each others movements. Until Elsa struck with more speed and power, Marx was barely able to dodge that attack as it grazed his clothes. She managed to get a kick on him sending him back but he stopped himself. He was about to get ready to attack until he looked to each side of him and was completely surrounded by mabeasts left and right, in front and behind. There were even some in the air above him.

Meili: Hehe, well I'd really like to see you guys fight more but I'd rather get this done quickly, so I'll just finish it here.

Elsa: You know you really shouldn't butt in to my battles.

Meili: Hush now, you can take a look at what's inside him when they finish tearing him up, well bye bye now.

She gestured her hand down and all at once the mabeasts charged toward Marx. He grated his teeth trying to see a way out but couldn't and was ambushed by all the beasts. Subaru and Beatrice still hid behind the house and saw the attack. Subaru stood up and was about to go and try to confront them but was stopped by Beatrice.

Subaru: What are you doing come on we have to help him.

He quietly whispered to her

Beatrice: Don't worry none of those attacks hit him directly. Just sit and watch if needed I will intervene I suppose.

Subaru hesitated but went back behind the house trusting what Beatrice said and they continued to watch the battle. There was a huge dust cloud from all the mabeasts attacks.

Elsa: Well maybe if we hurry we can get at least some of our tar-

She stopped as the ground began to shake intensely. Both of them looked to the pile of mabeasts and a huge explosion came from it. Blood and parts of the mabeasts flew almost everywhere. Marx was a bit covered in blood but not his, it was the mabeasts.

Meili: How were you able to avoid all those attacks at once?

Marx shook off some of the blood and guts on him and turned to answer her.

Marx: Easy, I phased through all of them and once they bumped into each other I used magic to blast them all away. Also you should make sure your opponent will die when you say things like that.

She gives off a angry expression but shakes it off and puts a smile back on.

Meili: Well even with my beasts gone I still have magic, not to mention it's still two against one haha!

With that she started to blast red shards at his direction. He avoided them all and began to get closer and closer with every blast she did. Elsa charged at him to stop his advance.

Marx: Phosphorus strike!

He shouted as his swords lit up in flames and clashed against Elsas blades. She had a strained look as the fire from the blades reached her arms making her weaken on holding Marx back. She managed to push him off leaving her burned along with a bit of her clothes.

Elsa: Well that certainly packed quite a punch. You know I haven't figured out how you were able to know that we were coming so won't you tell me?

Marx: Wouldn't you like to know. How about you only worry about trying to survive me right now?

Elsa: My I love how cocky that attitude of yours is. I can't wait to see what the inside looks like. *she licks her lips*

She then let's out a barrage of strike with her blades with each of them get blocked. She doesn't stop and instead she keeps going and it seems with every strike she gets faster. The attacks manage to start hitting lightly on Marx with cuts on his hands and a few in his clothes. Then he activated his phase once again causing Elsa to lose her momentum and strike at nothing. He phases back and instantly goes to strike her with a powerful swing of his blades. However she managed to block them just in time but at the cost of her blades. They broke and the impact sent her flying back and crashing into one of the villagers houses.

Marx: (That should keep her down for a bit) Now you're on your own. You can still leave or face me.

Meili: Aw well that's a shame but I don't think you should've counted her out just yet.

Marx: What, but she-

A sudden rush of pain appeared on the back of his shoulder. A blade pierced through him and the one holding it was Elsa herself. She had blood coming down from her head and tons of injuries on her body. Then shards form in the air and all dive to her sending her back and retreating back with her partner.

Beatrice: Looks like you shouldn't have let your guard down I suppose.

She walked to him and stood beside him facing the two assassins now.

Marx: Heh thanks for the save. I guess I shouldn't have thought she would be thrown off so easily.

He put a hand over his shoulder as it began to heal slowly without anything. He saw that she was the girl from the carriage that sat beside Subaru. He was surprised to see she had magic and was a spirit.

Elsa: My my my, is that the spirit that was supposed to be in the mansion? Looks like I might be able to have my fun after all.

Elsa: Well I guess that means that the other targets might be close as well. This certainly did turn in our favor now didn't it Meili?

Meili: Yeah I guess hurry up and finish this so we can leave, I don't have much magic left.

Elsa: Well then let's begin again shall we.

She charged at them but was almost instantly pushed by the the purple shards Beatrice summoned. She made her way to the other side of them before Beatrice stopped. Elsa wondered why she suddenly stopped until she looked down at her foot which was covered in purple shard.

Elsa: Well look at that, I guess i was a bit carless.

She giggled until Beatrice summoned more shards.

Beatrice: Just drop dead where you stand I suppose.

And let out a barrage of shards at her causing dust to cover her. The dust eventually cleared and revealed Elsas now crystallized body. It fell over causing it to break into small pieces and ending the assassins life.

Meili: Well darn, that sure complicates things.

Beatrice: You'll be joining her soon.

Subaru: she's still alive!

Both Beatrice and Marx turned to the left seeing
Subaru in the distance running at them.

Subaru: Shes not dead!

It was only then they realized what he said but within an instant Beatrice was shoved and fell forward. She turned to see that Elsa was still standing somehow and with a blade going through his stomach.

Marx: L-looks like... you let your... guard down as well. (Damn it, I didn't want it to have to come to this)

He said with a slight chuckle as Elsa pulled the blade out revealing the huge gash she made with it. Beatrice saw as Marx slowly fell to his knees and then fall as he faced her. Elsa licked the blade that pierced through him enjoying it as she wiped it off.
Subaru also witnessed as he saw his best hope for getting to the future he wanted, fall to the ground. He fell to his knees and hit the ground in anguish thinking that this was truly over.
