The night went by and slowly morning cam right after. The sun began to shine through the window of room Marx and Rem were in. Sunlight shined on his eyes causing him to slowly wake up and block the sun.

[Marx POV]
I felt the sunlight shine on my eyes and it kinda bothered me so I slowly began to wake up. I lifted up a hand to block the sun and I was going to get up so I can cover the window with the curtains, but I felt something on me holding me down on my right side. I turned my head only to see Rem now holding my arm and her right leg on top of my right leg still sleeping. My head slowly went back down as I stared at the ceiling and I took a deep breath in.

Marx: (Aaaaaaagh, why is she so close?! How did she even get this close when we were a good 3 feet away last night?)

I thought as I didn't want to move around or say anything to wake her up and see the predicament I'm in. I calmed down and slowly started to scoot to my left and remove my arm carefully to keep her from waking up. Luckily I managed to free my arm and made it easier to remove the rest of myself from her. She was still sound asleep as I stood up and fixed the curtains to prevent the sunlight from hitting anyone's eyes. I looked out of the window and saw that villagers were already out and about moving all sorts of things around. What could they be doing? That's when I saw Subaru walking along with miss Emilia. I quickly got myself ready and put on my uniform to head out and ask him what's going on. I looked over at Rem and she was still sleeping so I decided to let her stay like that until I got back. I went out the door and made my way to get an answer.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Rems POV]
[30 minutes after Marx left]
I started to get an uneasy feeling as I tossed and turned in the bed. Slowly I opened my eyes and sat up to see that I was completely alone in the room now. I rubbed my eyes and got out of bed to check in the living room to see if Marx was there. He wasn't anywhere in the house and I saw that his uniform was gone too, so I figured he got up early and headed outside. I thought that I might as well get dressed as well and head outside to find him. I went out the front door and saw that everyone was walking around doing something. They had barrels filled with some sort of liquid and tables were being set. It looked like they were preparing for a celebration. Then that's when I saw Marx helping to carry some of those barrels.
Rem: Marx!
I waved out to him as I approached and he saw me just out of the corner of his eye.
Marx: Rem, hey sorry I left you back there. I saw that everyone was getting busy so I wanted to help.
Rem: It's fine, but what is going on?
Marx: Oh well we're celebrating.
Rem: Celebrating what exactly?
Marx: Don't you remember yesterday? Subaru said miss Emilia completed all the trials and she's breaking the barrier today at night, so we're celebrating early and partying till nightfall.
Rem: Wow really, well what can I do to help?
Marx: You can ask Subaru what you can do. I'm in charge of getting these barrels of liquor to the main area where everyone will be drinking. Including me.
He laughed to himself as he walked away carrying the barrels. I rolled my eyes but giggled a bit as his joke and started to look for Subaru. I found him setting up banners between houses standing on a ladder.
Rem: Excuse me, Subaru!
Subaru: Woah, Rem! Don't surprise people when they're dangerously high!
Rem: Sorry, but I'd like to help do something as well.
He made his way down after finishing up and walked over to me.
Subaru: Well to be honest, everything seems to be done now. Everyone started pretty early since they wanted to party all day. I guess all you can do now is have fun.
He smiled as he walked over to stand on top of some boxes and cupped his hands over his mouth.
Subaru: Everyone, looks like it's time to get this celebration going!
Everyone cheered and began to dance and chat with one another. There was food already prepared and even snacks were on the tables. Villagers that started to drink already and I even saw Marx sneak in some drinks for himself. But everything was going splendid and I couldn't wait to start myself.
[ 6 hours later now 5:30]
Everyone was having a wonderful time and the party seemed like it was never going to die down. Subaru began to show us some strange party games, but they were all fun. Marx was especially fond on of a game Subaru called 'Flip' where you would have a team of four and each time it was one persons turn they'd have to drink a cup that had a little bit of alcohol in it and then flip it to land right side up. After it landed the next person goes and then it would continue until one team finished. Surprisingly Marx's team won almost all of them. I thought it was pretty funny to see him so out of character from what I saw. I joined in too, but only for a few games as I didn't really want to drink too much. But I think I might as well since it is a party. Miss Emilia will be breaking the barrier in a little bit and everyone is so excited for it to happen. Right now I'm listening to one of Marx's stories from when he was a child along with Subaru and my sister Ram.
Marx: Of course I was scared, but I just picked up the sword and held it infront of me. Then the next thing I knew I stabbed the beast and saved the two strangers.
Subaru: Man gotta say that it took some balls to do that. I'm pretty sure I would've done the same though.
Marx: Haha, I'm sure you would've Subaru. From what I've been hearing, especially from Ram, you are unpredictable.
Ram: That wasn't meant to be looked at as a compliment.
Marx: Aw come on Ram. Why don't you try being nice to Subaru for a bit?
Ram: I'm only nice to those I think are worth my courtesy.
Marx: ah well, I tried Subaru.
He said chuckling as he drank from his cup.
Subaru: Hey by the way man, how many cups have you drank already?
Marx: Uhh, well I think this might be my eleventh teen cup.
He said looking inside the cup he had. I couldn't help but snicker at his mispronunciation of the number and so did everyone else.
Marx: Hey what's so funny about that?
Subaru: Nothing man, you're all good.
Rem: Well I'm going to actually get myself a cup. I'll be right back.
I started making my way to get myself a cup and pour some liquor. As I was head there I heard someone shout "Look Out!" I looked up and saw that a carriage was heading towards me at a fast pace. Apparently some of the villagers got in a fight and knocked someone back into the wheel of the carriage causing the stopper to go out and send the carriage rolling. I couldn't move as I was scared stiff as I saw it coming at me. Then just as it was about to hit me, I felt myself be pushed out of the way. I turned to see who it was and I couldn't believe it was..... Marx. Something in that moment happened to me as I got sort of vision playing side by side as he pushed me out of the way. It looked like....Subaru, but he pushed me out of the way as well. Both scenes of Marx and Subaru were now playing as I saw him get it by the carriage and the sound of the crash as debris went flying. I sat there on the ground for a moment as I focus on what happened before I looked at the carriage and quickly went to check on Marx.
Rem: Marx!!
I rushed over and started to take of the pieces of wood off him. He was buried in the carriage as he laid there unconscious. I managed to take everything off of him and pulled him out. By this time Subaru and the others came over to check out what happened.
Subaru: What was that loud-... Marx!
Ram: What happened?!
Rem: I don't know. The carriage was heading towards me super fast and the next thing I knew Marx is pushing me out of the way.
Subaru: Here help me pick him up and move him to the table.
Subaru and I lifted him up and cleared a table so that we could set him down.
Subaru: Okay well it doesn't look like he got any serious injuries. Just some scratches on his face but other than that he seems okay. He just got knocked out by the impact.
Rem: Okay then is it fine for me to heal him?
Subaru: Yeah that's probably the best thing you can do for him. Here I think it's best if we move him inside.
Rem: I can do it everyone else can continue with what they were doing while I make sure he's okay.
Subaru: Alright then I guess I'll just make sure everyone else is okay too.
I nodded to him and put Marx up on my back to carry him into a house near by. The door was luckily open and I carried him all the way to the bed to lay him down. I wasted no time in healing him. He wasn't hurt badly so it should only take a few minutes for him to wake up. A couple of minutes go by and I see that as I heal him, he looks to be having a nightmare. He winced and moves a bit every now and then as I heal him. It looked like he was in a lot of pain and I want to touch his head to calm him down, but then he sprang up.
Rem: Woah easy Marx, it's just me.
Marx: R-Rem. I'm sorry, I was just having a bad... dream.
Rem: I could tell. It wasn't anything too bad was it?
Marx: Only a little, but what about you? Are you okay? I just remember pushing you, but I don't know if you were out of harms way.
Rem: Yes I'm fine. You saved me from being hit from the carriage, but you got hurt in the process. How did you get there so fast?
Marx: Well I followed after you shortly after you left. I wanted to get a drink as well and that's when I saw what was happening and just rushed in without thinking.
I was left thinking for a bit after he said that. The vision I had when I was saved by Marx and then by Subaru went back to back again. The situation was mostly the same and I also got to see that Subaru and Marx were a bit alike.
Rem: Well, I'm glad you did. You think you're fine to get up and walk?
Marx: Yeah I think I can.
He slowly got up from the bed and he limped a bit, but he got the hang of it.
Marx: Alright I got it.
Rem: Good, now let's go. I think Emilia might be breaking the barrier soon.
Marx: Really? Then let's get going.
We both went out the door and met up with everyone gathered up. Emilia was just about to release the barrier. Subaru gave a speech about how proud he was about everything that Emilia has done and how happy he was. After that Emilia said her peace as well and thanked everyone for believing in her. She then began to close her eyes and surround herself in a blue aura. A light came from her and blasted into the sky hitting the top of the barrier. There was a bit of a high wind that hit everyone and they were astonished to see everything. In just a few seconds cracks started to form on the barrier around until all of a sudden..... everything broke and sprinkled down lightly like glitter. But as it fell, I felt strange. My head it started to be filled with all these different things and images. It was like my-my..... my memories came back.
