One may tolerate a world of demons for the sake of an angel...

    .Niklaus.

Her laughter echoed in my ears as I watched her poke her head out the moving car window. She didn't let herself have enough fun. Sure...she had her adrenaline running most times but that was only when her blood boiled with rage and she was determined to kick the individual's ass. I didn't get to see the happy, laughing part of her more...but I've had a rare opportunity with that tonight.

"Crap." I cuss as thunder rumbles overhead, signaling an incoming rainstorm.

"Pull over!" She tugs on my sleeve, getting back into her proper position on the chair.

"Raven...It's going to rain. I can't." I sigh, not wanting to give in to the thought of standing underneath the pouring rain. I wasn't a fan. The idea made me shudder.

       "Klaus?"

"I'm sorry, I can't." I reject, giving a slight groan. She snarls, folding up her arms and pouting like a little child would. Utterances aren't made during the rest of the drive and all I could practically focus on was the dark roads and the pitter patter of rain when it started drizzling. With time it got worse and the rain got pouring making the roads a little more slippery.

"Goodnight?" I pivot to gaze at her when I pull up just in front of her house.

She replies me with a nod before stepping into the heavy rain. I await her appearance wandering towards her front door but isn't fancied with it. I'm about to walk up to her door when a force yanks at my door and pulls me out into the pouring rain.

" 'I can't'," Raven mimicks my words from earlier, pushing my door shut. "You're out now and you can't do shit."

I let out a loud sigh, gazing up at the dark clouds as my fingers unconsciously run through my now wet hair.

"You're way annoying than usual today." I admit, lightly shoving her.

"I'm just happy," She giggles, giving a twirl. An utter look of horror crosses my features as I watch my badass girlfriend act all girly. "What?"

She stops, giving me an inquisitive stare. "I'm not used to seeing you like this."

"Crap. Did I ruin my whole bad girl facade?"

"A little." I hiss, making a little pinch in the air with my fingers.

She leans forward and drops her voice to a whisper. "I can still be bad for you,"

Her words has me pulling her into a hug, letting both our moist clothes rub against each other.

"I love you Niklaus Larson." She mumbles against me, her grip becoming even tighter. I feel her cold breath against my skin, followed by a slight shudder. She had said it so distantly, so faded...it sounded almost as if she didn't say it at all but she did. She loved me. She told me. And I heard it.

I pull her back from myself and I watch her eyes form up in the most vulnerable way. My hand makes contact with her cheek as I pull her in.

My breath fans against her face and I watch her grab on to my wrist. "And...I'm crazy about you Ravenna Black."

I watch the smile she rarely shows to people slip on and that's when I kiss her. With the smile still on. Underneath the pouring rain. In the darkness with nothing but the streetlights and faint moonlight as our guide. I kiss her, and as usual, savour every bit of it.

She upturned my reaction towards the rainy weather. I had a beautiful memory with it now. What reason should I have to dislike it anymore?

   .Ravenna.

I lazily stumble out of bed the next morning just to have myself tripping over the moment a sneeze escaped.

"Anticipated this." I slightly chuckle to myself, coming to the minor terms. I had caught a cold.

                               °°°

"I'm only here because Kat is," Riv shrugs, settling on the couch with his feet on the table. "Don't feel flattered."

"Never will when it comes to you," I cough out, grabbing a box of tissue. "Legs off the table. This ain't your Mama's home."

I say, shoving his legs off the coffee table.

"But you can do it!" He grits his teeth, directing his index finger at me.

"There's a difference River," I smirk, using his full name. "This is my father's home."

Kat walks in at that moment, holding a bowl of soup with an apron tied to her waist. "Made you soup." She settles the bowl on the table and gives me a huge grin.

I make puppy dog eyes at her, pouting. "I love you so much Katherine."

"Can you not do your biasness right now?" Riv huffs, grabbing the Tv remote.

"Let's watch the kissing booth!" Kat squeals, swiping the remote out of Riv's hands.

"No fair! I had it first!" He dramatically screams leaping at her.

Kat holds up the remote, pivoting to look at me. "We'll let Raven decide. It is her house after all and she's the one who's sick."

"Would we respect her decision otherwise?" Riv rolls his eyes, stretching out to get the remote out of Kat's hand.

             "Raven?"

"I like Kat more," I shrug, grabbing my bowl of soup. "She made me soup. You're just a bother."

"Well...I'm the only boy who's ever going to bother you." He hisses, grabbing the seat beside me.

"Sorry but that sentence is about a few months old." I counter, taking a sip out of my soup. I return it to the table and watch Kat put on the movie.

"You're lucky you have us in your life." Riv nods, stretching his legs out over my lap.

"Your words just doesn't add up to it today buddy," I scoff, slightly tapping his legs.

Kat goes off into the kitchen and returns with some snacks and my phone in hand. "You've got a call."

I groan for having to get off the couch but have a really good moment pushing Riv off myself.

"Hello? You've reached Raven and she most definitely doesn't want to talk to you so could you please hurry up the crap you want to talk about?" I say all in one breath, the moment I receive the phone.

I subconsciously watch Riv and Kat argue over the snacks to eat and their sitting positions and I'm back to having my constant eye rolls.

"You're not in school." His voice catches me off guard and I take a glance at my screen once more. This wasn't his number.

        "Whose number is this?"

       "Why aren't you in school?"

I facepalm, recalling that I'd made a mental note to call him but had forgotten. "I caught a cold. I forgot to call."

"You're sick?!" He yells from the other side of the phone and I'm forced to move it a little bit away from my ear.

        "I am."

"Is Jenna home? Your dad?" He questions.

        "Work." I groan.

"You're home alone?!" His yell comes on again forcing me to repeat the action from before.

"Actually, Kat and Riv are here. Kat's a lot of help." I reply, giving River a dirty smirk.

        "Riv is there?" Klaus asks.

     "Unfortunately yes." I groan.

"Um...I'll come check on you after school, okay?"

"Will be expecting." I say, ending the call from both sides.

I glance towards my insane friends again and notice Riv's feet on the table. Close to my soup.

"Do you need me to bury you alive River?!!" I scream, charging towards him.
