My friend is writing a book where we fall into RA. Read it, unless you don't want huge spoilers for this series. Halt is my bea. I made this series so there would be a man like Halt, my age, who I could get with.

The moon painted the ground silver, the shadows of the trees painting dark spots on the grass. A rider was flying over the dappled ground, hooded and cloaked. His horses hooves drummed on the ground. If you looked closer, you could see that the man was a highly skilled rider, and he was clutching a bundle, instead of the reins. He seemed to be comforting the bundle. Thundering across the river, he arrived at Redmount Castle. He left the horse untethered in the courtyard, racing to the tower were Arald and Sandra lived. He seemed to glide over the steps, flicking at something when he reached the guard. Silver caught the light. The guard stepped aside. The cloaked stranger brushed past into the Baron's private quarters.

"What happened? Is everything O.K?"
"If everything was O.K, do you think I would be here at, what 3am?"
"Fair point." A long pause. "So...what happened?"
The man looked up, his grizzled face torn with unspeakable grief.
"She...died." His word were broken off by a heart-renching sob.
Baron Arald's face filled with sadness.
"I'm sorry."
Another pause, in which Lady Sandra sighed.
"This is her...our son."
Arald and Sandra leaned in, eager to see the child.
"His name is Joseph."
