"Hey, Jer," I say as I walk into the Gilbert house.

"Hey, baby," Jeremy says as he picks me up and spins me around. I look into the kitchen and see Damon, Stefan and Elena.

"Hm, they had a vampire meeting and didn't include me," I say looking back up at Jeremy.

"Well, we don't need them," Jeremy says making me laugh. We go upstairs to his room and lay on his bed.

"My mom was so reluctant to let me stay here tonight." I say as I flip over onto my stomach.

"Why? She's met me. I'm a good kid. Even she said so." Jer says making me laugh.

"She's just feeling scared since my dad died." I say as I put my head in Jers lap making him stroke my hair.

"She does have a reason to be scared." Jer says making me laugh.
