"Your dress is like a red Ruby." I compliment Ruby on her beautiful dress. She blushes and looks down.

"Your dress is like a blue sapphire, Y/n." She compliments. I smile and take her hand in mine. I lead her to a big tree behind the school. "What are we doing back here Y/n?"

"Are you ok with climbing trees?" I ask and Ruby nods. We climb up the tree and look over the fields.

"Wow, it's beautiful," Ruby says holding my hand.

"I know. This is where I go when you don't see me with the others." I say and Ruby rests her head on my shoulder. "No one ever comes here."

"Ruby, Y/n!" Someone shouts from the front of the school. Ruby and I look at each other with panic in our eyes and get down from the tree. We run to the front of the school where Anne and Diana are looking for us.

"What were you two doing?" Diana asks confused.

"We were looking for flowers I might be able to give to my mother." I quickly say and the girls look at Ruby and me with suspicion. "She doesn't like the flowers in our garden to be in our house."

"Oh ok. We were just thinking that we could write a book." Anne suggests and Ruby and I nod.

"That sounds like a splendid idea!" Ruby says smiling widely. We go into the classroom and get out a few pieces of paper and four pens.

"What should our characters be?" Anne asks clicking a pen.

"What about we have a girl that likes girls instead of boys?" I ask. Anne nods and writes it down.

"Isn't that wrong?" Diana asks. Anne, Ruby and I shake our heads.

"If it's someone you love it can't be wrong," Ruby says making Diana smile and nod.

"Well in that case it's a great idea," Diana says. I look at Ruby and smile at her.
