I knock on the door of the Gilberts house and wait for someone to answer. When the door opens I come face to face with Jeremy's older sister, Elena.

"Hi Elena, is Jeremy home?" I ask.

"Yeah, he is, oh! I got you a Christmas present." Elena says handing me a small gift bag.

"Thank you! I got you one as well." I say as I pull out a small box. Inside the box, I put a broach that I bought from a thrift store that Elena pointed out a few weeks earlier.

"Hey, babe," Jeremy says as he comes up behind Elena.

"Hey, loverboy," Elena says making me snicker and Jeremy glare at her. She walks away and I hug Jeremy tightly.
