Your POV

I was in the studio with the boys watching them sing sorry to Julie. I giggled at them, which got Luke mad at me for a little. I then zoned out until I heard Julie call Luke out for...

" You don't care about anyone other than yourself!"

I was about to say something to her, but she stormed out.

" Luke, she didn't mean it." Alex said

All Luke did was give me a glance and then poofed out of the studio. I walk over to Alex and Reggie.

" Where is he going?" Reggie asked

" Where do you think? Remember what today is?" Alex and I both say

" I'm going to go see him." I say

Before they can even respond I poof to the Patterson residents. I hesitated on going in, but then got the guts to walk right in. I saw Luke almost immediately sitting on the kitchen counter. I slowly made my way over to him and put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

Luke's POV

I was watching my parents until I felt a familiar hand touch my shoulder. I turned my head to the side to find Y/n/n. I put my legs out straight for her to sit in my lap. When she got comfortable I hugged her close.

" Luke, I know you're hurting, but I want you to know that I'm always here for you." She whispered

I felt more salty tears fall with every word she was saying. I couldn't respond to her so I just kissed the top of her head before making my way to the table with my parents while holding on to Y/n's hand.

Julie's POV

Alex and Reggie took me to Luke's house. I was watching Luke and Y/n while listening to Alex.

" He comes here a lot. He thinks we don't know, but we do."

" What about Y/n? Why is she with them." I asked

" She had a rough home life. Her parents weren't the nicest people. Luke was there for her and she was there for him. Their like soulmates." Reggie responded

" I didn't know how much the both of them were hurting. Their having cake, that's something."

" It's a birthday cake for Luke." Alex stated

Your POV

Luke was watching them sing to him and then he helped them blow out the candle. I tried not to cry so much because I wanted to be strong for him, but it's not working. Luke looked up at me due to hearing a small sob come out. He got up out of the chair and hugged me close to him. We stood there crying before poofing back to the studio.

'Time Jump'

Luke landed in the chair, but unfortunately for me I landed on the floor with a thud. I groaned and just lied there on the ground.

" You alright their Y/n/n." Alex said

I just gave him a thumbs up. I opened my eyes to find Luke holding his hand out for me to grab. He pulled me up from the ground. I then grabbed my guitar to start practicing for our gig.

'Time Jump'

Luke and I were getting ready to go back to his house, when we poofed outside of the house we saw Julie.

" Luke? Y/n?"

I looked at her confused and stood behind Luke a little so he could do the talking.

" What are you doing here Julie?" He asked

I grabbed his hand and held it behind his back so I could calm his nerves down.

" I was worried about you so I came here on your birthday." She confessed

" So you were spying on me. You know all your talk about boundaries and you do this. And you don't have to be worried about me."

They continued to talk until Luke rang the doorbell. His dad opened the door.

" Hello, Can I help you."

" Hi, um I'm Julie. I believe you had a son named Luke."

" Can I ask who's asking?" he asked

" I'm Julie Monlia. I live in the house he used to practice at and I found this song you might be interested in."

I saw Julie walk in and motion us both in. We both made our way to stand behind Julie while she talked to his parents.

'Time Jump'

Julie gave Emily the song and Luke started singing the song which made my eye's water. I started thinking about when he made that song.

'Back to 1994'

I was in the studio messing around with my guitar when I saw Luke run in and immediately take out his song journal. I saw tear stains on his cheeks, which made me want to comfort him. I slowly made my way over there and kneeled in front of him.

" Luke" I said softly

Luke's POV

I was struggling to write a song about my mom because of the fight I just had with her, when I heard a soft gentle voice. I looked up to find Y/n looking worried. I took a shaky breath and dropped my pencil and wrapped my arms around her and started crying all over again. Once I calmed down I finished the song with the boys' help and Y/n/n. She helped me a lot with the chords.

'Back to 2020'

Your POV

I looked at Luke and saw a tear roll down his face so I rubbed up and down on his arm. He looked down at me and poofed us both out to Julie's porch. I told Luke...

" If you need me I'm going to be in the studio."

He nodded his head and I kissed his cheek before leaving.

'Time Jump'

I was lying on the couch when I heard footsteps come into the studio. I saw Luke walk closer to me and looked down at me. I smiled at him and held my arms open for him to lie on top of me. I held him close to me so he could know I was here with him. After a while he fell asleep with his head on my chest so I was just softly rubbing his back to keep him asleep. (I don't think ghosts sleep, but in this story they can) I then quietly hummed to myself until I fell asleep.

Alex's POV

Reggie and I just got back from hanging out so we made our way back to the studio. I saw Luke and Y/n on the couch cuddled up, so I pointed them out to Reggie.

" Awe, dude they are so cute together." He whispered

I nodded my head and walked over to them and carefully laid a blanket on them. I then pointed to the loft and Reggie poofed up there before I could. We then just sat around on the bed that was put up by her. We both eventually fell asleep.

Again I am sorry if I made you cry in any way. I know that this made me sad to write cause of how sad he was singing this to his parents. I hope you enjoy even though it's sad.
