Your POV

I woke up to yelling coming from downstairs and I sighed. I tried to ignore my parents yelling at each other, but they just kept getting louder.

" Can you at least try to be a father to our daughter!"

" Y/m/n, I am trying, but it's kind of hard when I am the only one thats working. You do nothing for this family."

I once again grew tired of my parents fighting so I climbed out of bed and got ready for the day. I ended up picking out a sweater and some leggings. I then just threw my hair into a messy bun, and grabbed things for school. I was about to walk down the stairs when I heard my dad say something that made me stop..

" You know what Y/m/n. I think you should leave and never come back."

I peeked around the corner and saw my mom with tears running down her face. I started thinking about something to keep this family together, so I put on my best sad face and made my way down stairs. The first person to see me was my mom.

" Honey what's wrong."

I saw my dad roll his eyes, but came up to us.

"I just want everything to go back to normal." I admitted

They both looked at each like they weren't just fighting and then back at me.

" What do you mean Y/n/n?" dad said

" Everything is okay, nothing is out of the ordinary."

" But I heard you guys yelling and shouting at each other." I said really confused

" Sweetie, your father and I are going through a ruff patch, but we are trying to fix it." Mom said

I nodded my head and walked around them to head to school.

'Time Skip'

When I got to school I was heading to my locker, but got stopped by my best friend y/f/n.

" Hey girl, how's everything at home?"

I sighed and shook my head since I didn't really want to talk about it right now. I then walked around her to head to my locker, but I heard her scream my name.

" Y/N come on talk to me."

I ignored her and just continued walking. When I finally made it to my locker I opened it up and put things and grabbed things I would need for class. I heard someone clear their throat, so I turned around to find Josh.

Joshua's POV

I walked up to Y/n/n locker and stood there for a little until I decided to get her attention by clearing my throat. She turned around to face me and that's when I saw her. I noticed her mood was dropped down and she wasn't the happy bubbly girl that I love and adore.

" Are you okay?" I asked concerned

She shook her head. I could see her eyes well up with tears. So I did the only thing I could think of at the moment, I wrapped my arms around her and held her tight.

" It's okay, you're going to be just fine." I whispered in her ear.

I could feel her tears falling on my shirt, but I didn't really mind her getting it wet. I just wanted to make her feel better.

'Time Jump'

After I got her calm she told me about how everything at home was making her life miserable. I didn't say a word, I just listened to her rant about her home life.

" Josh?" She asked

I raised one eyebrow " Yes?"

She stayed quiet for a while until I heard her say " Do you have anything to say about all this, like anything I can do to help my parents not split."

I looked at her and grabbed her hands and rubbed them a little before saying...

" I know you're wearing thin down to the core."

She stayed quite so I continued " I know you are trying your best to keep your family together but you can't really do anything to help them fall back in love with each other. You got to accept the fate that will come."

She nodded and got closer to me and gave me a hug.

" I'm not ready for that to happen, but I hope you will be there every step of the way." She said

" I will always be right next to you." I stated
