A/N: hey besties...... sorry I was gone for so long. I hit writer's block, end of school year stuff, and have a mystery medical issue. all that fun stuff. Anyways I'm back and have so many ideas omg. The game plan is that after I write part 3 of vampire au then I will start a new AU ft rabbit-hybrid Ranboo. I'm doing summer school so I don't have to take an extra class my jr year but I have a lot of time to write on the weekends. :D

CW: blood, gore, manipulation (just a tiny bit), swearing, panic attacks/anxiety attacks, extensional crises, shock, possessive behavior, Ranboo is just not having a good time.

this is probably one of the darkest things I've written for this book so just be careful besties. (sorry if anything is a bit OOC I tried lol)  lmk if I need to add more warnings or fix grammar/spelling.

THERE WILL BE A PART THREE!!!

---

Ranboo awoke in a bed. It was familiar... had he been here before? The curtains were drawn. Ranboo's stomach grumbled. His mouth was dry and his lips felt chapped.

He tried to scootch up into a sitting position on the bed. He instantly felt faint and laid back down. Ranboo's limbs felt like stones. Maybe Ranboo had turned into a statue overnight.

What had happened?

The door to the room swung open and out came Phil. Phil the librarian? That couldn't be right.

"Phil..." Ranboo croaked out.

"Good morning mate," Phil said. "How are you feeling?"

"Bad," Ranboo mumbled. He had the overwhelming urge to run over to Phil. "What happened?"

Phil ignored Ranboo's question. Instead coming over with a mug of what must be tea. "Drink up, you're probably thirsty."

Ranboo was. The liquid in the cup was red. Red like blood...

Oh shit

Ranboo tried to throw the mug across the room. Phil caught the mug out of the air. He remembered what happened. His eyes were wide in terror.

Phil seemed amused at Ranboo's panic. "Calm down."

Ranboo froze. He reluctantly flopped back onto the bed. Part of his brain urged him to keep on fighting. Ranboo knew that at most he could be a mild annoyance.

"Let's try this again," Phil said, handing Ranboo the cup again.

"No..." Ranboo mumbled, shoving his head into a pillow. "Go away please."

Maybe Ranboo didn't really mean the 'go away' bit but Phil's presence, as much as part of his vampire brain loved it, was overwhelming. It felt like Ranboo was suffocating with all this new information. Hell, now he was an immortal. Oh god, he was an immortal. He wasn't even human anymore

Phil snapped his fingers in front of him. "Ranboo, Ranboo, shhhhh you're ok..."

Ranboo shook his head. He was going to cry again. "Please leave me alone," He cried, voice cracking.

Phil sighed. The kid was stubborn, and his changling instincts probably hadn't kicked in yet and won't kick in for another few hours. "Ok mate, I'll come back later. I have to do some shopping. Techno is downstairs if you need anything. I expect you to drink if you are hungry." Phil stood up and brushed the invisible dust off his green cardigan. He had dressed like a normal person again. Ranboo bet they called humans "commoners". It seemed like a very vampire thing to do. Phil looked behind him, giving Ranboo a small smile, before closing the door and leaving Ranboo in peace.

Ranboo breathed out a sigh of relief. His stomach grumbled. Ranboo groaned. His life just sucked, didn't it? But while Phil was out he might as well take advantage of it to explore this crazy expensive mansion. I guess when you're a vampire that's been alive for a million trillion years you can afford nice things.

Eat the rich, they're most likely vampires.

Ranboo sat up in bed. He shoved the covers off, finding that he didn't shiver at the cold temperature of the room. He stretched, hearing his bones pop. He placed a hand over his heart and felt for a pulse. Ranboo's breath hitched, there was a pulse. It was faint, unnaturally slow, but it was there. Was he alive? He had no idea.

He stumbled out of the bed. His bones were strife. How long was he asleep for? On the velvet couch, there was a change of clothing. Ranboo sighed and looked at his clothing. How long had he been wearing this outfit?

The change of clothing contained a white sweater with a big "R" on it in black. (Phil must've knit the sweater). As for pants Ranboo wore black denim pants, rolled up, with a pair of white Adidas. They were nice clothes for sure and strangely fit him. It was creepy. Everything about this was creepy.

Ranboo tip-toed over to the door. It swung open without making an obnoxious creaking noise as they did at the orphanage. The hallway was well lit, with white trim and grey paint. There was a covered window at the left end of the corridor and a staircase at the right. Ranboo decided to explore the left of the hallway first. He walked by two doorways of what he could only assume to be Phil's and Techno's rooms. Both rooms were locked, which Ranboo was disappointed about.

That gave him no choice but to go down the staircase. The staircase was wooden. Pictures of Technoblade and Phil throughout the years hung up. There was something eerie about them... Ranboo's eyes widened. Throughout the years they had no aged a single day. Made sense for an immortal vampire but still, it was weird.

Would Ranboo be like that? Never aging a day again? Never getting old?

Ranboo continued on his adventure. He emerged in a small room between two larger rooms. Ranboo poked his head to the left. He smelled something baking. He went to turn away but his stomach grumbled in protest. Sighing, Ranboo followed the smell.

He stepped into a bright kitchen. It looked like it was out of a magazine. Tall white cabinets, marble countertops, and a kitchen island. The person using the kitchen was none other than Technoblade, the Blood God, the man who was responsible for the deaths of 20 million people, cooking while wearing a "best dad ever" apron. Ranboo wanted to laugh at the sight. What had his life become?

"Hello Ranboo," Techno said, not bothering to look up from his cooking.

"Uh hello," Ranboo said. He fidgeted awkwardly with his hands. deep breathes now, don't freak out that you are standing next to the deadliest vampire ever.. "What are you doing?"

ranboo mentally smack himself, that was a dumb question to ask. He was obviously baking!

"I'm baking," Techno said.

"What are you baking?"

"Right now I'm pulling out stuff to bake a red velvet cake," He explained.

The sight to Ranboo looked very domestic. Too domestic. If it was Technoblade there must be something more sinister coming into play.

Techno sighed. "If you aren't gonna help then can you go do something else?"

Ranboo internally cringed. Better try to earn the Blood God's favor and trust than annoy him. "Oh- uh sorry, let me help," Ranboo ran over to Techno's side. Techno slid a bowl over and handed him a spatula.

"Stir," Techno instructed, moving behind Ranboo to grab water from the sink. Ranboo held his breath when Technoblade moved. He was not going to risk anything.

Stirring the ingredients was easy, what was not easy was the looks Techno gave Ranboo every few minutes.

Technoblade snatched the bowl out of Ranboo's hand. Ranboo flinched, jumping backward. "Can you stop that?" Techno snapped.

Ranboo gulpped. "Stop what?"

"Flinching every time I go near you. I'm not going to hurt you," Techno explained.

Ranboo eyed him warily.

Techno scoffs."We're brothers now, you're part of the coven. I'm not going to hurt my own brother."

Ranboo can almost hear what he identified to be is vampire lizard brain purr. brother it seemed to whisper. Techno hadn't made a move to hurt him yet, plus he was getting annoyed with Ranboo's flinching. Ranboo could pretend to be calm, cool, and collected around the Blood God to make him happy.

Ranboo gave Techno and thumbs up and a grin without showing teeth. Techno grumbled to himself, taking the bowel and pouring it into a pan. Ranboo watched as he put it into the oven, not even caring when his hand got slightly burnt from touching the oven rack.

Ranboo's stomach grumbled a reminder that he hadn't eaten today. Ranboo was NOT going to drink blood. He must have been staring off into space because before he knew it Techno was in front of him.

Brother, that traitorous voice whispered.

Techno's hand hovered over Ranboo's forehead, not touching the skin. It was as if he was checking for a fever. Ranboo's instincts told him to lean his hand on the palm. Techno chuckled as Ranboo completed leaned into his palm. "It looks like someone's changeling instincts are finally kicking in. Let's get you back to bed." Techno placed his palm on Ranboo's back and the boy practically melted, leaning backward.

Techno let out a few huffs. Ranboo's ears turned red. Another memory to add to the long list of embarrassing moments.

"Don't worry. Getting clingy with coven members is part of the natural changeling instincts, helps protect the changelings."

Ranboo let out a sigh of relief. This was less embarrassing (maybe?).

"Plus you are just really touch starved so it's more intense for you," Techno added on.

Of course, he had to add the embarrassing fact at the end.

Techno laughed and started to guide Ranboo back to his bedroom. Ranboo didn't focus on where they were going, only Technoblade's hand <strike>his brother's hand</strike> on his back.

Ranboo was starting to feel lightheaded. Technoblade stopped moving. Before Ranboo knew what he was doing, he was scooped up bridal style. He was too tired to try and protest, giving in to his instincts and snuggling up to Techno. He hid his face in the crevice of Techno's neck. Ranboo could swear he felt Techno's grip tighten around him.

Ranboo was barely awake when he felt himself be gently plopped down onto the bed. Someone was rearranging his limbs so he could it up.

"Ranboo..." Techno whispered. "You need to eat, then you can sleep."

Ranboo shook his head.

Techno pushed the hair out of Ranboo's face. He was sitting next to him on the side of his bed. A straw was lifted to Ranboo's lips, his mouth automatically opened for the straw to slip in.

"Drink," Techno said sternly.

Ranboo didn't want to disappoint Technoblade this time not out of fear, but out of validation? approval? he didn't want to disappoint his coven member. Refusing to drink would tick off Techno.

Ranboo closed his eyes and took a hesitant sip, looking at Techno. The blood was bitter, making Ranboo scrunch his nose.

"You'll get used to it, this blood isn't fresh because you were a stubborn child with Phil this morning."

Ranboo's eyes lit up at the mention of his sire. He was just now noticing how much he missed the man. He continued to chug the blood. It went smoothly down his throat. Techno's hand came up to Ranboo's hair, providing the changeling with some much-needed comfort. Ranboo's limbs felt like lead. His eyes started to close again. With one final "slurp" the blood bag was pulled away.

"Tech..." Ranboo whispered, making grabby hands for his brother.

Techno reappeared at Ranboo's side. "What?"

"Where's Phil..."

"Phil's doing errands. You'll see him after you sleep."

Ranboo grumbled. Turning around to face away from Technoblade.

"Am I not enough for you," Techno teased. He lay down in the bed next to Ranboo. Ranboo found his body and latched onto him like a koala.

The last thing Ranboo was aware of was the feeling of safety.

---

The first thing Ranboo was aware of when he woke up was the feeling of a hand running through his hair. Something inside of Ranboo purred and leaned into the touch. The person chuckled. "Hey mate," the person, now recognized as his sire, said. He removed his hand and Ranboo chased after it.

Another chuckle came from Phil. "How are you feeling?"

Ranboo cracked open his eyes. "Better," He said. It wasn't a lie. He was feeling much better than... yesterday was it? From whenever he had fallen asleep last.

"That's good to hear. A little blood in your system will do that for you"

Ranboo's eyes bulged out, he had forgotten about that. He had drunk human blood. That- that was the last straw. The humanity he had clung onto gone. Wasn't he supposed to rebel, try and run away, fight for his humanity? His only act of rebellion was his pathetic refusal to drink blood when he initially woke up.

But why would he want his humanity, his past life? He was an orphan, with a bleak future. No one gave him gentle touches like Phil, no one wanted to spend time with him like Technoblade. To humans, he was just another orphan boy in a city too big for him.

There was no going back from vampirism. Even if he did escape humans would reject him. He wouldn't age. He would be all alone again, this time without Phil or Techno.

Almost like Phil could sense his son's inner turmoil, the vampire placed a hand on his cheek, brushing away a tear from Ranboo's face. Another blow to the boy's dignity and pride.

"Techno wanted to know if you wanted to help frost the cake," Phil said, breaking the silence.

Ranboo nodded.

"Wonderful, let's get you downstairs mate."

---

Techno was in the kitchen this time, still wearing his "best dad ever" apron, which definity at one point belonged to Phil before being stolen by Techno. Though this time Techno was covered in flour. Ranboo let a breathy laugh when he saw the Blood God, the deadest vampire on earth, covered in powdered sugar. Techno glared at Ranboo, but his eyes were full of amusement.

Phil walked over to Techno and wiped the sugar off his nose. Techno scrunched his nose at Phil. "Soft," Techno jabbed. Phil grinned at his son and pat his head twice before turning to the bowl of frosting on the marble countertop and the double-layered unfrosted red velvet cake.

Ranboo moved to be closer to his <strike>family</strike>coven members. He peered into the metal bowl. The frosting was red buttercream. It made Ranboo's mouth water. It had been a while since he had a cake. (He couldn't remember the last time he had cake but same thing.)

Techno handed Ranboo a spatula. Ranboo's eyes lit up. He loved spatulas. He took a glob of frosting from the bowl and smeared it on the cake. While he was frosting, Ranboo tried to start a conversation. Pretend it was like old times in the library.

"Uh, can vampires eat human food?" Ranboo asked. uhhhhh that's one way to start a conversation

Phil let out a sigh. It was in Ranboo's nature not to connect the dots. "Yes Ranboo, we can eat human food. But it isn't very filling and takes a while for our body to process it."

"That's why we add blood to it. It makes it easier for digestion and we get at least a few nutritions," Techno added on.

Ranboo stopped his cake decorating and looked at the frosting on the spatula in horror. "There's blood in this...?" He whispered.

"Yup," Techno said nonchalantly.

Ranboo looked up at him, eyes wide.

"Bruh, you literally drank blood a few hours ago."

Ranboo blinked, staring straight at Technoblade.

"Phil, I think we broke him."

Phil chuckled. "I think he's in a bit of a shock." He grabbed the spatula from Ranboo's hand before he could drop it. He placed a hand on Ranboo's back and started to rub circles into his back.

Ranboo's initial shock and panic seemed to fade as he relaxed against his sire.

"You good mate?" Phil asked.

"Y-yeah," Ranboo said. He took a deep breath. "That's not a horrifying fact."

Techno snorted. "You'll get used to it kid."

Ranboo turned back to his cake, his hands still slightly shaking. The fact that the frosting had human blood in it was something out of nightmares. It was easier to pretend it was food coloring.

It didn't help that Techno and Phil were having a conversation about blood right in front of Ranboo. What kind of exposure therapy was this?

"What blood type did you put in it?" Phil asked.

Ranboo shuttered.

"The best," Techno said.

"Which is?"

"Everyone knows that O- is the best type."

"Oh yeah, yeah it's the universal favorite. It's like everyone can accept it," Phil said, wiggling his eyebrows.

Ranboo and Techno both facepalmed."That was a horrible, horrible, pun, Phil."

"What can I say, I'm a punny  dude."

Two shouts erupted from the boys. The trio dissolved into laugher. And it felt like old times again. Just them goofing around at the library. It was easy to pretend.

---

Ranboo had finished putting frosting on the cake and now was working on the decorations. Phil had saved  Ranboo's bag of m&ms from the night he had been attacked. Ranboo was sticking them all over the red cake, like polka-dots. Techno was cleaning up the kitchen, humming to himself. Phil was watching Ranboo creepily across the kitchen island. Techno had put on Spotify kitchen jazz. Apparently, vampires knew how to use modern technology.

"So uh Phil," Ranboo said, interrupting the silence that seemed to plague the kitchen. "Why did we make a cake? Is there a vampire bakesale going on?"

Phil wheezed, slapping the counter. "No mate! We're having a party for you!"

"A party?" Ranboo asked, eyes wide. "For me? Like right now?"

"Yeah, to celebrate your changing!" Phil exclaimed. "It's going to be a smaller party, just the three of us, but after that, I have a much larger party planned!" He smirked a bit at the last part. Phil jumped up and went to sort through the cabinets, looking for something.

Ranboo was baffled. Why were they doing this? Techno wrapped his arm around Ranboo, he bent down so he could whisper in Ranboo's ear. "Phil's doing this because he's worried you won't feel a part of the family. He wants to make you comfortable."

Ranboo nodded. He understood where Phil was coming from. He hated and loved it at the same time. Finally a family but at the cost of his humanity. His mind went back to his crisis earlier. What was the point of clinging onto his humanity when he had been rejected from them all? The vampires loved and accepted him, why not just submit and stop pretending.

Phil came back from his cabinet searching with a candle and a match. The candle had green and red swirls on it. He placed it on the blood cake and lit the candle.

Ranboo smiled a bit. It was almost like he was having a birthday. At the orphanage, you were lucky to even get a "happy birthday" from the caretakers.

Phil wrapped an arm around Ranboo and Techno ruffled his hair.

"Welcome to the family, son," Phil said, his blood-red eyes crinkling.

Ranboo bristled at the possessive tone in Phil's voice. He blew out a candle and made a wish. that wishing being the one he had made since he ended up at the orphanage.

I wish I have a family

Maybe that wish was closer to coming true. But wishes always came with a price.

Phil put his arm around Ranboo. "Now mate, we got you a gift for the large party."

"Really?"

"Yeah, here you go," Phil handed Ranboo a bag. Ranboo opened it to see the contents. In there was a black suit.

He looked up at Phil and
