We had always promised each other that were were going to last forever. And well so far we have kept that promise even though we are only 18 and 19, our relationship has worked out pretty well. I'd finally finished high school and was ready to have the best Summer before moving away for University. Rafe of course was planning to move with me to wherever I chose to live for university, but we will see how that goes.

I sat at the back of the classroom with my bag on my desk watching the clock. The hands moving so slow. I checked my phone and saw Rafe was already outside. I couldn't wait to leave this shit hole. I smiled at my phone and placed it down on my desk trying to hide the fact I was actually on my phone.
"Miss y/l/n, care to explain why your are smiling down at your desk?" The teacher asks.
"Just really loving the way this wood looks Mrs Henry, it really is a fine piece of work. Could do with some sturdier legs though." I say cockily. The class explodes into laughter.
"I am so glad to this is your last day. Hopefully you have no more siblings coming to this school? Your brother Dawson was a nightmare and you have been no better Miss y/n." The class laughs and I sit there smirking. God I could not wait to get out of this place. A loud ding rings throughout the school, chairs being flung around the room and paper being thrown, school was over! I was no longer a high school student and I was free.

"Miss Y/n. Stay with me after class would you please?" I nod and walk over to her desk. My friends Cassie and Selina were stood impatiently outside. I smiled and held two fingers up to try tell them I'll be two minutes. They rolled their eyes bitchily and turned to face each other talking. They had been acting so strange recently.
"Y/n. I have been hearing around school lately by the students that you are dating Rafe Cameron. Is that true?"
"Umm... yeah that's true why?"
"He's just, how do I say this nicely, he's trouble and your going to get hurt. I know what guys like him are like. Protect yourself and get out of this situation."
"Umm. Well my friends are waiting I've got to go. Have a good summer though Mrs Henry, I'll try graduate University for you." She smiles and I walk out the classroom door, linking arms with Cassie and Selina. "Sorry girls Mrs Henry was questioning me about Rafe. Not like I get it from my parents everyday."
They roll their eyes and continue walking off. "Hey wait for me! What the fuck?!" I say running after them. We make it to the main doors, and shove our way through the narrow doorway, and there he stood. Rafe Cameron. Leaning against his motorbike, a helmet in hand smirking at me. I blush and run over to him, engulfing him in a hug. "Woah hold on y/n. I wasn't ready." He says kissing my forehead. Cassie and Selina walk over. "Nice to see you have left us already and summer hasn't even started." Cassie sighs.

"Oh Cassie leave her be. It won't last long anyway, let's be honest. How long was our relationship again Rafe, hmm I forgot. Oh ye two weeks before you went off and cheated on me with some other girl." I stare up at him in shock.
"Selina your being generous, it was a week. Y/n how long have yous been together now? A week?"
"Selina shut the fuck up!" Rafe shouts.
"Ooh getting feisty are we now Mr Cameron. Your going to be just like your father." Cassie laughs, Selina joining in.

Before thinking, i raised my hand and slapped Cassie around the face. She stumbled back holding the side of her face. "You bitch!"
"Meant to be my friends, but your just trying to date my boyfriend! Again by the sounds of it! Oh and Selina, what was your ex's name again? Cory was it?"
They both stand staring at me, Selina nodding slightly.
"Yeah thought it was. Well turns out, while you were dating him he cheated on you with oh wait, me. Sorry to break it to you hun." I grab Rafes hand and he helps me up onto the motorbike. I place the helmet on my hand and wrap my hands around his waist. "Bye bitches!" Rafe shouts at we drive away. I slap his arm jokingly, laughing. As if I'd spent the last three years wasting my time with them two and my best friends. At least now school was over and I had Rafe by my side.

I felt horrible for saying what I did, but she needed to know. Guess todays was the perfect day to. We drove to the beach and sat and watched the sunset. "Isn't it beautiful?" I say smiling.
"Not as beautiful as you y/n. What you did back there was badass." He says smirking.
"Was it really? I was just standing up to them for once, it's taken me three years to do so." I say laughing.
"Was it true? Wasn't you said about Cory? My best mate Cory?"
"It was half true. It was never while they were together but it was right after. We only hooked up once and it was over but I just wanted to shove it in her face." He laughs and lays back pushing you onto the floor to. "I have sand in my hair now!"
"It will wash out. Just lay here with me for a while." He moves me closer to him and wraps his arm around me, i lean into him and we lay on the floor watching the sunset, until it was pitch black.

I really did hope we would last forever, but that was just like Disney films, it was never going to be forever we were only young. We had fallen asleep on the beach, and as i woke up everyone that was around us had gone. I turned over onto my side to look at Rafe and he had gone. I jumped up and went running to the water. As I got closer, I saw a big sign and petals on the floor. Kiara and Sarah were stood hiding very badly behind a rock. I laughed at waves at the girls making them sigh and laugh to. I walked closer to the water and saw Rafe stood there smiling at me. It wasn't his usual smirking smile, it was a real smile. I got closer and he held out his hands so I held them. He leaned in and kissed my forehead.
"Y/n. I have wanted to give you this for a while."
He pulls out a cute little box and hands me it. I smile blushing and open the box. Inside is a little diamond ring, I take it out and take a closer look at it. Shining in the moonlight. "It's gorgeous." I say in shock.
"I knew you'd love it. Look on the inside of it." I turn it over and see R+(y/i) engraved on the inside. I smile and place it on my left ring finger. I hold my hand up and smile. "Oh I also got you this." He hands me another box. "Rafe you didn't have to really. But I love the ring it's gorgeous!" I exclaim. I open the second box and see a silver necklace with a letter charm saying R on it. I smile and hug the boy, kissing him. "I knew you'd love that to. I also got myself a gold ring but with your initial."
"Aww your so sweet."
Sarah and Kiara threw some confetti at us making us laugh. "It's biodegradable and so are the petals by the way!" Kiara shouts. "Saving the turtles and everything." I laugh at her and blow her a kiss. She was so passionate about the planet and it was so sweet.

So he had gotten me a promise ring. Maybe our promise was going to happen after all. We spent the rest of the night together after Sarah and Kiara left.
