It was max and I, stuck in the bed. I could do this, if I could heal my spine I could heal my paralysis, and I know who could help me.

"Lightwoods!" I shouted at the top of my lungs and the four adults came in. "Okay this is going to sound odd but I can heal max and myself." I said and Izzy took my hand.

"What do you need?" She asked and I bit my cheeks looking at Alec,

"I'm going to need you to slit my wrists." I said and Mayrse gasped.

"How would that help you?" She asked and I shook my head.

"It's to help max." I answered, before alec put the edge of a sword to my wrist looking at me with nervousness.

"Do it." I said and he hesitated "Alec, do it!" I shouted and he drug it across my wrist, thick red blood pouring out. "Izzy grab that glass." I looked to the glass and she let my blood slowly fill it.

"lustra cruor, dilectus meus angelus." I Spoke watching the blood shift into glowing gold, I had activated the angelic properties. "I don't know if this is going to work, this could either kill him or save him." I told mayrse swatching the bloods glowing gold shine start to fade.

"Do it." Robert decided and we watched Alec tip back the glass. My wrists had already healed although I was drowsy once more, I faught it. Max's core glowed, the healing rune glowing golden before Max's breathing evened out.

"He's going to be okay." Izzy smiled stroking her younger brothers hair. They all crowded around max as I lay in my bedroom. My mirror across from my bed showed me my reflection, pale and slightly sweaty. Something bad was going to happen, Sebastian or Johnathan I had no idea. I thought of the past week and came to the decision, Sebastian was Johnathan.

He hurt me
He hurt clary
He hurt Jace
He hurt Alec
He hurt izzy
He hurt innocent people
But I think the final straw was when he hurt max.

The anger built inside me, enough to make me drag myself from the bed and take my two sharpened swords, stumbling through the hallways. No way was he getting out of here. The more I walked the more strength I grew until I was sprinting.

When I made it to the entrance hall I saw Sebastian taking clary. Not on my watch, inside I wanted to let go of all my power, burn the world down to kill one man however I decided on blowing a hole through the wall.

Sebastian tossed clary through the rubble turning to me, my lip curled and bile raised in my throat as I held my silver blades ready, the runes glowing electric blue.

"Johnathan." I said his name with as much venom as I could. "You May think you know how to fight, but I will end you." I growled and he chuckled deeply.

"Oh Piper, your brother had as much venom as you did. Right before I killed him too." He said and I shouted, plunging my blades at him but he vanished in a cloud of black smoke. My swords were embedded in the ground.

"Clary!" Alec said helping her up.

"Are you okay?" Jace asked her and she nodded looking at me. I stayed, on my knees with my head resting on the hilts of my swords, anger bubbling through my body. Sebastian had killed my parents, my brother, and he had come after everything that I held dear.

"Piper, I'm so sorry." Clary rubbed my back as the two boys bent infront of me.

"What happened? Piper are you hurt?" Alec looked over me and my hair in its ponytail swayed.

"He killed my family." I whispered. "My brother faught with these swords, to make sure I lived on. That's why he's going to die, by the angel Johnathan will die." I promised and Jace nodded.

"Clary and I will make sure it happens." Jace re assured and I nodded numbly before I looked at Alec.

"Max will wake up soon." I sighed pulling my blades from the ground, putting them on my thighs.

"He will want us there." Alec took my hand and I didn't protest. We walked in silence until we stood outside the door. "Piper, everything you did for us, for max...I really appreciate it." He took my shoulders in his large hands. "Piper I'm sorry, and I don't believe your jus the postermark of the shadowhunters. Your strong, brave, loyal, smart, and I love you." He tucked my short hairs around my face behind my ear making me look at him gently.

"If you love something to the point that both can't operate apart then you've broken it." I sighed moving his arms off my shoulders. "And i need to keep my people safe, I can't do that if Valentine and Johnathan are on the loose. So until then..." I trailed off holding back the tears that were in my eyes, if I cried now I didn't think I would ever stop. "I protect my family, the lightwoods, herondales, Fairchild, Blackwell, bane, Graymark, and everyone. But I need space Alec." I sighed, feeling my heart numbing in my heart. I opened the door walking to Izzy's side and taking her hand.

"Did you get him? Sebastian?" Max asked groggily and I chuckled.

"Don't worry, I will." I nodded but Alec walked to the other side of max looking from Izzy to myself.

"We will." He nodded, and I kissed Max's forehead before walking to my room. I needed a shower and a nap and sugar, then I could work on stopping the evil.

After we had all showered and changed the five of us stood in Alecs office. Izzy sat in a armchair and I sat on the arm while Alec leaned against his desk, Jace standing beside clary.

"I'm not doubting clary, but even with our angel blood there's no way she could destroy a mortal instrument." Jace shook his head looking at me and clary before the lightwoods.

My thoughts spun and clary and I made eye contact. "Clary, have you been dreaming of lake lynn?" I asked on whim and her brows furrowed, a look of confusion and shock etched onto her features.

"Yeah, And I can see my reflection, and these two swords." I adjusted my gaze to The floor.

"And they go around the water trying to decapitate you?" I clearfied and she nodded and I looked from her to Alec.

"I don't think the mirror was the mortal mirror." Clary announced and shock hung heavy in the air. "My Mom made a decoy to fool people into chasin after that one while the true mirror stayed hidden."

Precipitation clustered on the outside of the stain glassed window, outside the darkness shone through with a eerie glow. The angel Raziel held his sword in the cup. I stood walking to the tainted glass and looked in the angels eyes. They were reflective, like glass, however I saw movement in the glass. A rocky shore, no, a lake. "It's lake Lynn." I breathed looking dead at Alec as said this. "The dreams clary and I have been having, they're visions, our angels are warning us." I specified, Clary's eyes widening as she connected the pieces.

I stood with Alec at his desk, my head lated down on the cold wood while he did paperwork. I was half asleep, thankful for the calm moment before the storm. Alec looked over at me occasionally to make sure I was okay, which I wasn't but I was doing my best.

"I know your not okay, but I want to talk." He asked quietly and I nodded.

"Can we do it after all of this?" I asked. "When Johnathan is dead?" He never got to respond because Clary Jace and Izzy came in and I sat up.

"The real Sebastian was tortured then killed many days ago by Johnathan." Izzy sighed and I shook m head, how could someone strip the life of someone away so easily.

"His body was possessed by a demon, same as the one that killed Jocelyn." Jace continued and I shook my head, braid down my back moving with my movements.

"So that means valentine had always had the cup." I clarified, Alec pulling out a tablet to FaceTime the inquisitor, my least favorite woman

We reported to her and she looked to me. "How are you doing my darling? I hope there to be a wedding soon?" She looked from Jace to me and I growled.

"Actually, you can fold the arranges marrige in a tightly Little was and shove it up your-."

"Pipers not having a good day, I'll report later." Alec said closing the tablet.

"Were going to need help." Alec sighed and Jace chuckled without humor.

"From who?"

"Everyone." I decided placing my hands on the desk and standing up.

Piper hadn't slept, hadn't eaten since she pieced together that Johnathan was Sebastian and vice versa. How stupid she had been not to realize it sooner, from the second her skin contacted his she knew he was bad news. Now they knew how the demon truly was.

"Piper, you look like you haven't slept in days." Clary said walking into the op center. I had recently learned that it wasn't the hub, it actually had a name.

"I don't need sleep, I need to find Johnathan." I looked over the maps of the city once more before shrinking it back down and marching across the floor. I had on mission gear, black tank top and black leather high waisted leggings with my swords on either hip, electrum arrows in the quiver across my shoulder.

"We have a visitor." Jace growled, he and Alec walking with us to the entry hall where the seelie queen stood, Magnus and Luke behind her.

"Your majesty, what a unpleasant surprise." Clary spoke through her teeth.

"What I think clary means-" Alec started, only to be cut off by Jace.

"No I think clary is right." Jace spat and I saw Izzy beside her brother look at me.

"The institute called an emergency meeting of the downworld council." She spoke and I crossed my arms, my stance staying firm. "I speak on behalf of the downworld." Raphael shifted uncomfortably behind her.

"You picking up anything?" Izzy directed her facial expression at me.

"They're uneasy, after that I can't seem to get into their heads" I responded through my expression and she nodded.

"Henceforth, if you would like to talk to the downworld, Mrs. Lightwood and Princess Michealson, you speak to me." She looked at me.

"You know what I can do?" I narrowed my eyes and she chuckled.

"That and so much more about you, if you'd like, I offer you a spot in the seelie court, stay awhile with me?" She extended her hand and I felt Jace tense beside me and Alec step before me.

"In all respect your majesty I don't think that is the best idea, Johnathan and Valentine believe the institute has the mortal mirror and Piper is one of our best fighters. Valentine won't leave the city without it." Alec gave his speech and the young appearing queen lowered her hand directing her eyes between Alec and i.

"So you release him to capture him again?" She jabbed and I shook my head.

"To kill him." I answered before looking to Alec.

"How are we supposed to believe you?" She asked lifting her chin slightly and I sighed, without my crown I didn't feel like a princess, I didn't feel authority over my people.

"I know what happened with the soul sword was a mistake." Alec looked to me then at the entire members across from us. "But it won't happen again, in creating the council We are working for transparency."

"And how's that going for you?" She asked and I sighed stepping up to the plate.

"Horrible." I admitted and Magnus narrowed his eyes at me in confusion. "Jace and clary are either at each others throats or hugging it out. Izzy is trying to right things but she's struggling with self acceptance. Alec is stressing about how to fix this. And I'm spiraling, set on killing Johnathan and Sebastian and anything that gets in my way." I spoke surprising everyone. "So that's why we need your help, they threaten all of us and everything dear to us." I looked to Raphael and Magnus, luke and then the seelie Queen.

"The answer, shadowhunters is no." She spoke and my lips curved into a frown. "However you have moved me by your confession to allow you to talk to me whenever you choose." She nodded and I scowled.

The downworld was walked through the portal, disappearing from the institute. I turned and grinned my teeth. My head and stomach were in a continuous state of ache. Not to mention my spine was killing me. A dizzy spell washed over me and Izzy helped me steady myself.

I saw the three downworlds stay behind and Izzy drug off the vampire. Clary has her moment with Luke while I hugged Magnus tightly. He hugged me back tightly, and then I looked at him.

"Magnus, I may act strong but I have no idea how to stand on my feet." I muttered feeling tears pool in my eyes.

"Oh biscuit, it's okay, you have your friends, and the warlocks. Be careful okay?" He whispered and I nodded before he portaled away. I sniffed, drying my tears as I turned around Alec and Jace stood and I sighed.

"What?" I scowled before they both hugged me between them. "Whatever, I'm fine." I lied, before wincing at my head.

"Go, sleep and eat." Alec spoke and I shook my head.

"No, no I have to be alert and ready to fight." I argued and Jace chuckled.

"Your no good when your about to pass out, besides it was a order." Alec spoke firmly and I narrowed my eyes.

"Go, I'll watch the maps." Jace affirmed and I sighed, walking off towards my room.
