Piper and Jace stood side by side, the lightwood siblings in the head of institute office. After Piper had almost ripped jaces hair out he managed to get his grandmother to agree with naming Alec as head.

"And that's why I" Jace started before Piper coughed loudly "I'm sorry, WE have decided to name you Alec Lightwood the head of the New York institute." Jace grinned embracing his Parabatai.

"Can you do that?" He grinned looking to the pair before him.

"Hell yeah we can!" Piper grinned, kissing Alec square on the lips as he wrapped his arms around her lifting her off her feet. They became distracted in one another before Izzy tapped her foot.

"Okay, and the first act as leader will be for you jace to make things right with Maia." He nodded and Piper smiled.

"Actually, I think I will go too, simons got a gig going on." Piper said walking with the blonde boy.

"I'll go too." Izzy followed behind, Piper had told her Parabatai about the whole arranged marriage and planned on telling Alec after he got settled with his new position.

"Any chance at getting that paper?" Piper asked him and he sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"My grandmother won't let it out of her range now that she knows I'm her grandson and it can be acted on." Jace spoke to the red head.

"Well if you think about it, it's just writing, you don't have to do what it says." Izzy shrugged, trying to help out.

"The thing is, neither one of us can get married if someone shows that document. It's like the rules of union or whatever." Piper waved her hands around. "Especially with all of those old signatures of every michealson and herondale."

"So unless that paper is destroyed both of you can't get married. Angelic magic or whatever?" Izzy frowned. "That doesn't seem fair."

"Tell me about it." Jace said as they made it outside.

The night was warmer than last, Piper happily wore her trademark jeans and sweater. Her hair braided to the side. She looked up to meet the cloudy sky, oh how she longed for stars. However she had things to do and problems to solve.

Piper smiled sitting beside Clary with the lightwood siblings behind her and Jace talking to Maia in the back. Simon stood on the stage singing, it was a good song actually. After the first three he motioned Piper up and she laughed.

"What are we singing today?" She whispered to him.

"Baby, lay on back and relax, kick your pretty feet up on my dash" Simon started and Piper grinned, Thank god she knew every word.

"No need to go nowhere fast, let's enjoy right here where we at
Who knows where this road is supposed to lead
We got nothing but time
As long as you're right here next to me, everything's gonna be alright" Simon looked to her as she adjusted the mic stand.

"If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be
Baby, just let it be
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be
Baby, just let it be
So, won't you ride with me, ride with me?
See where this thing goes
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be
Baby, if it's meant to be" this was her part next.

"I don't mean to be so uptight, but my heart's been hurt a couple times
By a couple guys that didn't treat me right" by the looks on people's faces they clearly weren't expecting her voice to be this way. What had Magnus said? Siren voice?

"I ain't gon' lie, ain't gonna lie
'Cause I'm tired of the fake love, show me what you're made of
Boy, make me believe" Simon grinned at her, she had sang with rock solid panda once or twice before.

"Whoa, hold up, girl, don't you know you're beautiful?
And it's easy to see" Simon sang while playing the piano as Piper pulled the mic from the holder and feeling the music.

"If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be
Baby, just let it be
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be
Baby, just let it be
So, won't you ride with me, ride with me?
See where this thing goes
If it's meant to be, it'll be, it'll be
Baby, if it's meant to be" they sang as Piper tossed her hat to Izzy who placed it on her head. She enjoyed singing as much as dancing or kissing Alec in the dim light.

They had shortened the song because technically they didn't have the song planned and applause filled the room as they bowed silly and fist bumped. Piper saw that Alec was gone and Izzy looked bummed. Jace walked out into the alley and Piper frowned, following him. He stood arms crossed in the alley looking at her as she walked outside.

"What happened? Why did you leave?" Piper asked breathing deeply from singing.

"The downworlders In there want to kill me." He shrugged and Piper chuckled.

"I wouldn't know why." She rubbed the spot in her neck where her chip had once been.

"Piper, we're going to destroy that paper." He promised, walking to put his hands on her shoulders. "I promise."

"Good, Alec is the love of my life, like Clary is yours." Piper nodded, tucking her red hair back.

Both slightly wondered what would happen if they didn't. What would have been if they weren't in love with other people. Unknowingly they had gotten closer than expected, faces close together.

"To what if." Jace whispered.

"To what if." She whispered back before their lips collided.

It wasn't like what they had expected, not good but not bad, the shades of grey. To Jace he preferred Clary. To Piper she preferred Alec. After a few moments they pulled away, untangling their arms from eachother and sighed looking over eachother. Like Barry and felicity from the flash is the first thing Piper thought of.

"If it's possible, I love Alec more than before." Piper breathed laughter lightly.

"It's because you've been shown another option, and known that the first was better." Jace smiled and she rolled her eyes.

"I'm going to go to him." She smiled turning and heading from the alley way.

However things didn't happen as the two had expected.

Nobody

The red head lay in the mundane hospital, the rhythmic beeping of the monitor beside her bed showing signs of life. An ivy ran from her arm to the clear bag above her.

"Female age undecided, heart rate 210, massive head and body injuries, Blood loss, fractured ribs, and tattoos covering her arms chest shoulders and neck." The doctor read.

"Her heart rate is incredibly high." The second doctor spoke staying a distance away from the newest Jane doe. The lights flickered off for the third time that night. "Damn the electrical."

"An hour ago her spinal cord was snapped in half, its impossible she's alive." The other doctor read.

"You must not have seen it correctly." The first doctor answered. "She's in a coma."

"And How is her age undecided?"

"She appears to be no older than 18-20, but.."

"But?" The other doctor repeated.

"Her body itself is that of a fifteen year old. Like she appears to have grown and gotten older but hasn't aged. It doesn't make sense."

"The DNA isn't in the data base." A nurse walked in. "I think it's time we called in the big guys on this patient, maybe she's one of the governments trails."

The red heads eyes bolted open and she looked around wildly, the tube down her throat that had once breathed for her no longer needed. The nurse removed it and the girl painted for breath.

"Honey, calm down." The nurse spoke softly. "Your in the hospital, your injured your head, broken a couple ribs, and were passed out for a couple hours."

"Do you remember how you ended up in that alley?" The doctor asked. "You should be in a coma, how did you wake up?"

"I-I need to get out of here." The red head panted looking around.

"Sedate her." The doctor spoke calmly.

"No! You don't understand-I need to...to..." The red heads eyes drifted shut as she slumped against the bed.

"And you don't know your name, where your from, anything?" The doctor asked the red head.

"No, just that I need to leave this place." She shrugged. "How about...Biscuit?" She thought of the first thing she saw.

"Okay, Biscuit." The doctor eyed her. "I will be right outside the door if you need anything.

"Mhm." The red head nodded examining her arms. She didn't think she would have tattoos, well, she didn't know what she would think. Did she have a family? Did they miss her?

When the doctor closed the door she got out of bed, the hospital gown around her felt uncomfortable. She picked up a strand of hair off her chest. Red. She had red hair.

However right now was the time to leave, she could trust her gut. Opening the window she looked down, lucky she was on the second floor and underneath her window was the car port for the ambulances.

Jumping down she landed on her feet, before doing the same to the ground, rolling to absorb the impact. Somehow she had know to do that.

"Hey!" A nurse shouted at her. "Where are you going in a hurry?" The face opened up and tentacles shot from her face.

"Oh shit." She muttered, running down the road and weaving her way until she came to a run down church. The image flickered and she gasped, it wasn't run down, it was beautiful. Squinting through the sunlight she looked at the big double doors. Why was she standing on the front step of this place.

"Piper!" Yelled a girl with blonde hair and a few black tattoos. "Weve been trying to track you for two days!" The red head dodged the girl looking at her with wide eyes.

"Woah! I don't know you." She put her hands up to keep the girl away. "And I don't know why I'm here! All I know is I woke up in a hospital bed and the nurses face opened up and tenticles came out!" The red head screamed.

"Piper, what are you talking about? A demon?"

"Demons aren't real!" The red head backed away. "And my name is Biscuit!"

"What? That nickname Magnus calls you?" The blonde haired girl became confused. "What happened to you?"

"I don't know, I just know that I need to find Izzy!" She said backing away. "I don't know why I'm here."

"Izzy has been going insane all day looking for you." The blonde slowly reach out to her.

"You know Izzy?"

"Yes...Wait, did something happen to your memory?" The blonde asked and the red head blinked.

"Izzy, take me to her now." She demanded and the blonde nodded walking in the doors as she followed.

People watched the two before a girl with black hair and tattoos like the other people in this place was shouting at a blonde boy and a black haired boy.

"Izzy?" The red head called across the room.

"Piper!" Screeched the girl spinning around and hugging her tightly. "Where have you been, what are you wearing, and why couldn't I track you?"

"I don't know who Piper is but I know that you are the most important thing in the world right now, you can help me." She said and the two boys walked up.

"What's going on?"

"Pipers got amnesia." Isabelle assessed looking over me.

I sat on a rather uncomfortable seat while a warlock waved blue sparks infront of my vision.

"So you raised me from age three to five and then one week every four months until now?" I clearifed with him. "Because my family died and then my adoptive mother?"

"Yes." He nodded. "And it looks like demonic energy hid her memories, I don't know how long it will be until she gets her memories back."

"Well we don't have forever Magnus." Izzy said as I stood up with her.

"Something just needs to jump start them." Magnus shrugged. "Get her back in the flow."

"Okay." Izzy pulled me through a portal and we appeared in the institute.

"So the blonde one, that's Clary, my ex. Twin." I nodded and Clary smiled while standing besides Goldie locks.

"And this is Jace...is he my boyfriend? Because he's hot." I nodded grinning at him as he laughed.

"No, that's Jace, your betrothed to him...but your also cousins...and he's got something with Clary who's dating Simon." She whispered the last part and I frowned at him.

"Hmm." I looked at him before sighing and looking around. "So I'm princess of these people?"

"Yes."

"And I fight demons."

"Yes."

"And the runes give me powers, and I make lighting and can portal?"

"Yes."

"And I have a boyfriend?"

"...sort of.."

"Wait sort of? What does that mean?" I frowned looking to Izzy to Jace to Clary.

"He found out about the betrothal and then saw you kiss Jace." Izzy pulled a half smile. "I know what it meant, but that's because we share a bond that allows me to understand and feel what you do and you for me. Alec...alec doesn't."

"And why would I kiss you?" I pointe fto the gold haired one. "I don't understand I thought that my sort of boyfriend and you were Parabatai."

"It's hard to explain." Jace said rubbing his temples.

"Hey, I'm ready." A dark haired boy walked up smiling.

"Is that my boyfriend, he looks like a nerd, but in a cute way." I smiled and he kissed Clary. "Never mind, that's Simon." I linked from the facts that Izzy told me.

"And he doesn't know that Clary secretly likes Jace, she doesn't even know." Izzy whispered.

"Hmm." I crossed my arms. "This whole group seems....confusing and interesting."

"Alright, you three can go to the seelie court, Izzy Mom is about to get here and Piper...I heard about your lack of memories." A very VERY attractive boy with dark hair and crystal eyes spoke in a authorial manner.

"Izzy, please please PLEASE tell me this is my boyfriend." I whispered however everyone heard me.

"Yes, this is Alec." She chuckled and the man looked to me nervously.

"Hi, you don't know me I guess. I'm Alexander lightwood." He extended my hand.

"I guess I'm Piper Michealson then." I shook his hand. "Have we had sex?" Clary choked on her spit and Jace and Izzy started laughing.

"Um..." Alec's cheeks became pink and I smirked.

"So we have, I bet it was good judging on your hand size." I grinned and couldn't help but watch everyone examine the three boys hands 'secretly'.

"Well, I see that loosing your memories also trashed your filter...well...not that you had one anyways." Clary waved as she Jace and Simon left.

"Well, big brother, Your going to hash thugs out with Piper." Izzy bolted off and I followed Alec to what I assumed to be his office.

"About the arranged marriage, don't panic, from what I've heard I love you a lot." I smiled and he didn't look reassured. "Alec, listen, I may not have my memories but if I kissed Jace I had a reason to." I frowned.

"You and him have always been close, I just guess that it was closer than I thought." He sighed rubbing his face.

"Listen, I don't have that knowledge, I have here and now." I said putting my hands on his desk. "So how about instead of living in the past we live in the now?"

"Okay." He sighed. "We-I have a meeting with the heads of the downworlders." He corrected himself.

"Was I apart of this before?" I asked sitting on his desk. "And I can tell when you lie."

"Yes." He admitted "but since your lack of memory I doubt you will be able to go through this."

"Nonsense." I shook my head standing up. "I will go to this meeting and I will be a part of this." I crossed my arms.

"Piper-"

"No." I cut off sharply. "I will be your neutral mediator. If you say that I was raised by the downworld and now live as a shadowhunter then I will go."

"Fine, But you have to listen to me." He said looking through his lashes.

"I don't think I do well with authority?" I crossed my arms.

"Never have." He chuckled and I walked to the door.

"Well are you going to come with me or not? Talk to me." I said and he rolled his eyes and followed me from the doorway.

"So to jumpstart your memories what do you think we need to do?" He asked and I shrugged. "How about...follow me." He pulled me after him into the training room passing me a bow and arrow.

"Alec I don't know how to shoot this." I scowled and he stood behind me. With a hand on my hip to adjust my stance and the other guiding my arm back.

"Pull it back to your cheek, and then release." He whispered and I felt his breath on my ear. I was distracted by his touch and missed entirely as he chuckled.

"Your distracting me! If you could-" I stopped myself, remember that night in the training room, simon had been taken by vampires, Clary and I found out valentine was our father... "I remember."

"Everything?" He asked hopefully and I shook my head.

"Your such a flirt." I chuckled. "You purposefully made me miss." I scowled quickly drawing an arrow and foreign it into the bullseye.

"If this worked then let's go somewhere else." He said and i wiggles my brows.

"Mm and where would that be?" I hinted and he shook his head with a laugh.

"To your room." He paused "not. Like that."

"You wish tall dark and handsome." She replied walking down the hallway.

Upon entering the room she saw an array of dark clothes, dance pointe shoes and a silver bed. Walking around quietly she held the pointe shoes admiring them. Like dripping paint into water, memories of dancing colored her mind. Yet a majority of her mind was blank.

"Show me stuff about me." I suggested and he pulled me down to a sitting position on my bed, telling me all about myself. However unlike before this only spotted through my memories. Upset at the fact I couldnt Remember over half of my life I despised that I knew enough to get me through the meeting.

"Your upset." I noticed in the boy as we walked to the kitchen. "What's up?"

"Oh, uh, just stressed about this meeting. A lot is riding on it." He ran a hand through his hair and I sat him in a chair at the island.

"Well right now we're going to forget this stupid meeting and your gonna tell me about yourself." I smiled taking down a pot. "And I'm going to make Mac and cheese."

"That's my favorite!" His eyes went wide and I smiled placing the pot on the stove.

"I have a feeling I know this." I laughed setting the water to boil. "So, Any passions?"

"Demon killing." He shrugged and I rested my head on my arms looking at him.

"I still don't know if I fully believe that but something other than your job?"

"I always liked yoga." He hummed And I laughed trying to imagine someone so large and muscular doing yoga was hard to imagine. "Stop laughing!" He grinned.

"I can't imagine you doing yoga, your so..."

"Are you calling me fat?" He asked lifting up his shirt to reveal abs.

"If I did would you keep your shirt up?" I asked and sighed when he dropped it. "Guess not."

"I can do yoga." He scoffed and I raised a brow. "I can!"

"Alright, let's see it then." I motioned and he infact started doing yoga. "That looks like twister." I said mimicking him before doing a handstand and bending my knees over his shoulders before something happened and we crumpled to the ground laughing like mad men.

"You suck at yoga." He grinned and I rolled my eyes, trying to untwist us.

"I do not! I'm amazing at it obviously." I chuckled as he helped me up, he was quiet hilarious, and he loved his family, and though Piper couldn't remember him she knew that they loved eachother.

"You suck at cooking." He bit his lip pointing to my
