After our game of pool we took seats at the bar. "So your other girlfriends must have either hated or loved your competitiveness." Piper addressed and he took a sip from his alcohol.

"Lydia didn't seem to mind." My head tilted slightly at his awkward manner.

"Alexander..you have had other relationships right?" I asked nervously and he tilted his head from side to side.

"There was never really time." Oh geez, I was dating a newbie and a virgin. This could go one of two ways. "What about you?"

"What about me?" I asked fidgeting with my fingers before he took a sip from his drink.

"How many relationships have you had?" He asked and I took a sip of my drink.

"Well, um it would have to be twenty.." I shrugged before his eyes brows raised. "But I don't care about them." I sighed and he nodded his face unreadable.

We started on our walk going nowhere before I bit my cheek. As we walked silently we stood outside my old apartment. I looked up at it nervously, as if any second I was going to be drug kicking and screaming into a fire.

"Do you want to go in?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Not particularly." I sighed before pulling him through the wall appearing in the institute. As we stood in one of the living room I sighed as he stopped me.

"Do you think we're just too different?" I looked around the room with vines and the glowing flowers with old artifacts around us. The archives was my place to hide away.

"We come from two different worlds." He sighed and started walking for the doors. I sighed, of course this wouldn't have worked, like all great things in my life he would also leave me. But then something surprised me.

He came back and kissed me, holding me like I would be torn away if he let go. Soft whispers of flowers opening and vines moving surrounded us. When my eyes opened as he pulled away I looked around. The flowers that decorated the vines and Columns were open glowing brightly and whispers like angels wings echoed through the room lit by the flowers.

"Midnight." Alec looked at me with beautiful crystal eyes and the different colored glows from the flowers cast lights over his face.

After arriving back in my room I decided on heading back to the apartment. I casually walked through the wall and re-appeared infront of the apartment. Walking to the door I placed my hand gingerly on the door knob. Why was overwhelming fear gripping my insides and twisting them like knots? Taking a breath I swung open the door and leapt inside the dark home. I painted for breath, looking around the charred rooms and broken items of my past life.

I looked around before sitting on one of the sofas, half chard. Although I did love living in the institute being around work 24/7 made me want to have a place of my own. My room at magnus's was nice but I couldn't exactly control the House. So it was decided, I was going to fix up this house.

I pulled out my new phone, courtesy of Magnus, and dig through the rubble of my room finding a scratched up pink wireless speaker.

"My selfish heart wasn't bit no good to you
At least not the way it intended to, woah
Your love was young, but it wound my old soul
When I said goodbye I wasn't ready, no oh."

I started with the kitchen, taking out everything and piling it in the center of the room. Glasses, plates, cups, chairs, everything I could find in the large room and placed it in the pile. I repeated this in every room until multiple piles almost to the roof stayed in every room.

"One day you'll marry such a lovely wife
And hopefully we'll be fine!
But baby let's keep in touch, ooh
'Cause I'm not what you need
But I'mma miss you so much
I'm too focused on this dream,
And your kiss is a drug that pulls me back so quick
Until I pull us apart, forgive my selfish heart"

With effort I snapped my fingers and the piles vanished leaving only major furniture. Being the couches in the den and the beds in the rooms. I waved my hand at the door opening it wide revealing a glass portal and began shoving them out.

"Hey, baby let's keep in touch
You got my number baby, go ahead and call it up
You got my number baby, go ahead and call it up
You got my number baby, go ahead and call it up
Go ahead and call it up, go ahead and call it up"

All rooms were empty and I grinned closing my eyes and placing my hands on the floor. Jamming to the music I imagined the house like I wanted it. The walls and the materials before opening my eyes. Everything was repaired, all that was left was furniture. After leaving a wad of cash from the michealson vault on the cash register I had all the furniture moved into the new house. It looked amazing, my room, two spare rooms, the den and kitchen. I grinned placing the last glass into the new cabinet sighing in happiness. Realizing that the apartment was far from the institute I walked to the door that lead to a vacuum closet. I created a standing portal on the door so that when you walked through the doorway it would take you anywhere.

For now I appeared in the living room of Magnus's house. "Magnus, I have a house, but can I bond it to a door here?" I asked and he got up walking into the entry way and waving his hands. A new door appeared on the side wall and he opened it for me.

"Well aren't you going to invite me to see this new hideaway?" He asked and the standing portal now bonded the doors together. Like the houses were connected side by side.

"Of course." I agreed letting him follow me, as I walked him through the house a knock was heard on the door, the door linked to the other house.

"Piper? Are you there?" Jace called and I opened the door to him holding a bag. "I heard about your new house...is there a spare room?" He asked looking badly, I would wait till later to ask him questions.

"Up into the loft, left side, there's a hall bathroom beside it." I pointed and he nodded heading upstairs.

"I've got to be going, besides, you and Alec have missions to run." Magnus's walked through the door and I rolled my eyes as I headed to The institute.

Alec and I appeared back in the hideaway after a amazing trip to New Mexico. The trip was on a mission but we made sure to have fun, going to look through the stores and such.

"That was amazing." Alec laughed following the red head into the kitchen where he sat on a stool looking across the table at her as she pulled out a cup of ph from the fridge. "I can't believe that your afraid of sea gulls."

She pointed a finger at him. "They just swoop down at you and could peck your eyes out! Of course I'm scared, besides it's been ages since I've gone swimming, I didn't even change into a bathing suit. I just sat on the sand and watched you swim." She chuckled before he held out a small bag for her.

"I got this for you." She took it gently, shocked that he had gotten her anything.

"Alec, you didn't have to get me anything." Piper smiled, yet opening the bag. It contained a necklace with a small sand dollar on it.

"It's supposed to bring good luck to you." He shrugged and I grinned slipping it over my head.

"I love it." I followed him to the couch using his lapels on the leather jacket he wore to pull him down with me. He smirked before resting an arm on the back of the couch as our lips began to move in sync. He leaned back into the corner of the couch pulling me with him. I fit perfectly into his side, one arm on his chest before he moved me so I straddled his waist. Our kissing soon became heated, becoming tougher and I tangled my hands in his hair as his hands slipped down my waist.

Then the muffled noises of Jace and whatever girl he was with this time came from upstairs, Killing the mood. He sighed, resting his head on the back of the couch.

"When is he going to leave." Alec groaned in annoyance. "He can't stay here forever."

Reluctantly I got up and took my shoe off throwing it at the ceiling. "Oi! Johnathan keep it down!" I shouted up at the ceiling.

"Leave me alone Penelope!" He shouted back before I narrowed my eyes, a thump was heard and swearing before I grinned. "Don't you dare drop another painting on my head." He shouted and I snickered before putting my shoe back on.

Right as I turned back around to resume were we left off Alec and I'd phones buzzed alerting us to a meeting at the institute.

"I'll go get Jace." I sighed and Alec nodded, standing up and getting his stuff together.

"Good luck with that." He followed me up the stairs and I opened the door to the spare room were the two tangled together. I had seen worse before, Alec on the other hand looked straight up at the celling.

"Let's go Jace, there's a situation back at the institute." I crossed my arms and the girl muttered something to him.

"I'm not going, I'm a little tied up." He spoked and the girl looked at me.

"Your welcome to join if you want." She eyed me up and I crossed my arms over my stomach.

"As much as I would love to." I spoke sarcastically "I'm not running away from my problems, Alec talk some sense into your-" my sentence was cut off by a screaming ringing in my ears. I held my ears as if to block it out, scrunching my face in pain of the sound.

"Piper, Piper are you okay?" Alec asked and Jace had gotten up, looking at me in concern as he pulled on pants.

"Ye-yeah." I nodded, the sound fading away. "Didn't you hear that loud sound?" I asked, rubbing my temples.

"What sound?" Alec asked before walking me downstairs leaving Jace in the room with the girl.

"Never mind..." I trailed off, shaking my head to clear my thoughts. "Must be just a energy hang over." I forced a laugh before taking his hand and leading him through the brick wall and walking from the steel of the institute into the hub.

Clary and Izzy argues but this stoped when we came into view. "Where's Jace?" Clary asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Moping around the hideaway." I withheld the information about the latest girl, there was no need for the blonde to be more stressed than before.

"Well anyway." Izzy turned from us to the screen. "There's a big storm coming, which means more demon attacks, also Cleo has been taken from the iron sisters and one of them was killed." The black haired girl summarized and my eyebrows twitched upwards.

"All of that happened in the span of two days?" I breathed and she nodded, something seemed off about her. I couldn't put my finger on it but her whole attitude was...dampened.

We divided up leaving clary and I. "So, should we go talk with Luke?" She offered and I nodded, walking her through the wall and appearing outside the jade wolf.

"Clary the sunlight rune, is that the only weird thing that's happened to you?" I asked, thinking of the sound only I could hear. "You didn't happened to have heard a loud sound lately?"

She stopped, eyes going wide before turning to me. "Like ringing or high pitched screaming?" Her blonde wavy hair blew with the humid wind into her face. She fixed it quickly while I shifted from foot to foot.

"Yeah I heard it, and nobody but you heard it." I began walking toward the door again and she jogged a few paces before falling in step with me.

"Same with me, what do you think it is?" She asked and I shrugged, for once I had no clue what had happened to us.

"I think that we should focus on finding Cleo before anything else." I suggested and she nodded before we entered he building.

Luke found us, giving Clary and myself a hug. Clary and Luke had always been closer than myself and the werewolf but Luke was family none the less. Mom and I spent most of the time together, I missed her a lot, she had been everything to me.

The sound of a soft Bell chiming stirred me from my thoughts. Cleo walked in weakly, bloody and cut. "Luke!" I shouted for his attention before the three of us ran forwards, Clary beating me to the woman's side to help her stand.
