Piper had briefly visited Idris, where all she wore was heavy princess dresses and heavy crowns. All in all, her time could be described as heavy. With little to no word from back at home, other than Izzy's frequent updates and Clary's calls every other day Piper had no ties to her home.

Her once long hair now designated at the top of her chest, brushing her collar bones. This was thanks to Maryse who had fixed it upon returning with a uneven ponytail. If Piper had actually gotten to spend time in the glass city doing what she wanted the trip would have been more fun. No, it was greeting important people and giving speeches. However in the dead of night she would sneak into the training room and practice. Even if that meant occasionally tripping over the hem of her nightgown.

Today was the going home day, the perfect princess Diana would release the caged Piper inside. She practically beamed as she walked towards the plane, lifting up the edges of her blue dress. However she heard the upset voice of a young girl.

Piper turned, looking at the crowd of people, on her head she wore a simple gold laurel wreath. The fancy jewels crown saved for special occasions only. A girl around age five was trying to get back her stuffed rabbit from an older girl.

"If your going to grow up to be a shadow hunter you can't have stuffed animals you baby." One glared and Piper quickly walked over.

"Actually, I slept with a stuffed lamb until I was eight." I told the ten year old girl who looked shaken. "I was also raised as a mundane." I smiled st the girl with brown strands of hair.

"But your the lost princess, your allowed to sleep with a lamb." The young girl inquired and I chuckled, the words hit me hard however and I stepped out into the center of the large crowd of people.

"I'm am also a shadowhunter like you will be one day." I smiled, bending down to be at eye sight with her.

Standing up I looked around at the people gathering me, most of them were men, shorter won population of shadowhunters than men.

"Every girl is a princess as much as a warrior, so why not be both?" I took my crown from my head and it dropped on the small girl's head. "What's your name Beautiful." I asked her and she smiled.

"Memory." She replied, and I stood before her.

"Well memory, how does it feel to be a princess?" I asked and she smiled, looking to the girls beside her who shuffled their feet. "And you two.." I waited for their names which they reluctantly gave.

"Kara." The first spoke.

"Lora." The second one added.

"Kara, Lora, you both are princesses too, wether you like it or not. Even the bravest warriors must have a heart, for a warrior without heart is just a shell." I explained and they thought for a moment.

"Princess Diana, we really must be going." The pilot called and I smiled to the three girls before getting in the small private plane and taking off into the air.

"So this is my que." I winked at the shadowhunters sworn to protect me and walked through the wall of the plane and appearing in the institute stumbling a few paces into my room.

It was just as I had left it, grinning I pulled the ties of my dress and stepped out letting he favric pile on the ground before pulling on something a little more...me.

I wore black leggings with a deep sports bra that showed off my perfect body, a sheer cropped t-shirt over that before putting on my under armor socks and using my stele to refresh my tunes. After not fighting anything for almost a month my skin was left clear. Except for the permanent Angel rune on the skin right above the waistband of my leggings, the graceful rune on my shoulder and my swift rune on my inner arm. I used my ruby stele to add on the energy, bravery, and better vision rune so my skin swirled with ink black runes.

I walked, shoeless, out the door and into the hub. Without thinking I made my way to the training room, new women and men about my age trained in the room as I walked in and began stretching. Thanks to my sensitive hearing I heard my name come up.

"Isn't that Diana Michealson?" One girl asked to the one she was training with.

"Yeah, she claims to be a shadowhunter but I highly doubt she's even killed anything." The other replied and I felt their gazed at my back.

Picking up my bow, three runes carved into the front with my blade I slung a quiver over my shoulder and put my sword hilts on my sides. I walked into the large room separated from the others by a wall of glass and a glass door.

Upon entering I walked to the screen and dialed the level to the hardest, seeing jaces name at the top made my chest twinge but it didn't stop me from wanting to beat his score.

Walking to the center of the room I knocked an arrow and waited for the first target to come into place. It happened seconds after, forsaken running at me and quick as lightning I fired arrows into their chest. I heard steps behind me and twisted foreign an arrow into the scorpion like demon before knifes we're thrown at me. I dodged each of them rolling across the floor and shooting a arrow up into the sky and hitting the flying demon. Seeing a circle of enemies surrounding me I quickly put my bow onto the quiver and slung it to the side.

I grabbed my twin swords, both long and glowing faint white before lunging, slashing and jabbing through each before using one of them to boost me up where I jumped and snatched the rope hanging and entwined my legs in it hanging upside down and shooting the demons with ease.

Win a snap I heard something cut the rope and I twisted like a cat landing on my feet and switching to my swords, slashing through the demon that was jumping towards me and watching it crumble into pixels.

The training session was over and I turned to the glass seeing Izzy grinning at me. I dropped my stuff and ran through the door and jumped into her arms hugging her tightly as we laughed.

"So you decided to come home." Izzy beamed and I grabbed my stuff and setting it on the table walking with her out of the training room.

"Yeah, you don't know how adults wearing a dress was. But I had to be." I paused making my voice sound like a old English accent. "Princess Diana michealson, future queen of blah blah blah." We both laughed before I peeked back into the training room where the highly confused and shocked girls and boys were. "By the way, it's Piper, nice to not meet you."

Then I izzy went to make herself an omelet and I denied, not wanting to die from her horrible cooking. Instead I leaned on one of the many desks of the hub, looking around with happiness. I was finally home, wearing my clothes and being who I wanted to be.

"I want twenty four hours, round the clock, if you spot anything that seems different or in anyway not normal you talk to me." Alec's voice caught the red heads ears seeing him taking command and instructing people. "We're going To find my brother." He began looking at one of the screens, not noticing the quiet girl admiring his butt.

"Have you always had a really nice ass or is it just in those pants?" She spoke, smiling as he turned around in surprise. "And look, he's even hotter in the front too folks!" Pipers multicolored, ever changing eyes twinkled with joy as the tall raven haired boy took long strides to her and kissed her lips with force. Then he pulled her into his arms and bent his head into the crook of her neck, breathing in the smell of her shorter red hair.

"Piper." He mumbles her name and her smile grew, when he said her name it made her think that he was going to wrestle her to the ground, which was like sex to their kind.

"I've never loved hearing somebody say my name as much as I do right now." Piper admitted, loving being in his arms. Who wouldn't? He was a tall, hot, loving, strong, piece of man and he had chosen her over anyone else.

Izzy and Piper stood in the hub among other shadowhunters, Clary jogged up standing at her side.

"The shadow world is at war, valentine has the cup and is no doubt rising an army as we speak." Mayrse spoke to the institute at the front of the hub. "One Of our own has joined him."

Clary opened her mouth to shout that Jace had no choice but I stomped on her toes making her bite her tongue while glaring at me.

"Looks like the queen is taking back her kingdom." Izzy whispered to me, her judging eyes never leaving mother lightwood.

"Therefore the clave has decided to replace the leader, who was deemed unfit." Lydia scoffed, shaking her head from her spot diagonally infront of me. "It is my pleasure to introduce the new leader of the New York institute, victor Aldredgee." The man wore a crisp suit, his chocolate coloured skin glowing under the bright light above him, casting shadows on his face.

"Thank you." He spoke to Mayrse who stepped back letting him take the center of attention. "In our search for Jace Wayland, we believe that the answer lies with us, I'm asking everyone who has been on a mission with Jace Wayland to talk with me. Until then the institute will be on lockdown."

Alarms were blaring inside my head, I could be agreeable or I could hit the override button. Taking a deep breath I focused on Simon and Luke who stood beside Clary and Mom.

"Downworlders will not be permitted in for the time being, Greymark." Luke scoffed before Clary rubbed his arm. "Dismissed." The other shadowhunters left leaving the small clan in the center.

"Fine."

He walked towards the door and 'Aldredgee' looked at Simon. "You too Mr. Lewis." Simon shifted on his feet looking at his friends.

"It's almost dawn." He spoke up, and in fact, through the stain glass window the sky looked slightly brighter, maybe an hour or so before morning.

"Your a smart man, you'll find a way." With that said my hand punched down on the override button.

"Alright, see here-" Izzy and Clary both stomped on my toes. "Ow god you two I'm not going to stop." I glared before reminding my look at the new 'leader' "you can't just-"

Aldredgee cut me off "actually, I can, you see you may have power to override the clave in court or law but this is a command. Until you are the age of twenty one you cannot change my rules." In that moment I wanted to punch him in the nose, instead I dug my fingernails into my palms.

"Excuse me?" I narrowed my eyes and felt large hands rest gently on my shoulders running down my arms, slightly calming under Alec's own calmness.

"I know all about you." He said confidently. "The rebellious princess, I suggest you heed my rules." As I opened my mouth Mom took my hand dragging me away.

"She will." She told him before Isabelle furiously walked with him for her interview.

"Mom it's not fair!" I howled and Clary sat beside me in one of the many chairs, the blonde woman regarded me with tired eyes.

"I can't believe their doing this." Clary agreed, yet not as mad.

"I know, but there's still all you don't know about this world." My Mom tucked a stray red hair behind my ear before holding Clary's hand.

Later on I was called in and questioned before Clary went last. As Izzy and I trained in the room for at least another hour before heading separate ways. Alec lay on his bed as the red head tiptoed inside the room. She quickly jumped onto his back that was pointed at the ceiling and crossed her arms under her chin, her front flush against his back.

"I'm sweaty." Piper chuckled. "And smell like Izzy's feet." He laughed rolling over causing her to flop beside him.

"I don't care, I've been out of training for two days, at least now it smells like I have been there for hours. He smiled and I propped myself up on one arm, resting my chin on my hand. The other ran through my hair quickly untangling it.

"Haha. Very funny Alexander." I rolled my eyes and he smiled, making my own face smile In return. "You are very attractive." I admitted freely and his grin brightened as he chuckled.

"I know I am." He mocked my own reply and I laughed at how bad it was.

"Are you mocking me?" I gently pushed his chest and he shrugged.

"What if I am." He raised an eyebrow and I turned my back to him.

"Then I'm not going to talk to you." I sighed, closing my eyes. "And I'm going to sleep."

"Not on my bed, your sweaty and dirty." He chuckled and he pulled me up off the bed.

"Sweaty, not since I wiped it on the back of your shirt. Dirty, maybe." I smirked before stomping my foot causing my stele to fly out of the side of my boot and I caught it tossing it into the heart of Alec's bed. "Whoops! Dropped my stele." I dove towards the pillows and Alec quickly pulled my arms to his chest as we toppled backwards so that I wasn't on the pillows.

"I just changed my sheets." He defended and I sighed picking up my ruby stele and sticking it into my back pocket. "Shower first, nap later."

"Fine, But Only If you come with me tall strong and handsome." I winked getting up and he grinned. Before he could respond the blaring alarm from the hub caught our attention and we bolted into the main room of the institute.

The shadowhunters gathered and I ran into Izzy who looked in confusion at the alert. Jace was wanted....Actually he was wanted dead.

"That's it." I stormed out of the institute slamming the door behind me. I would be damned if I stayed in the building one more second with that new boss man.

I looked towards the nearest brick wall walking through it and into Magnus's house. "Magpie I'm here." I shouted and gold cat eyes turned to me before Magnus walked up to me.

"Okay, But first lets go to Greece, I feel like exotic olives and a nighttime party." He offered and I grinned.

"Alright, But we've got to look the part." I shrugged and Magnus snapped his fingers.

He wore a white Greek Chiron with a gold chest plate and I wore a long white toga, the shoulder held together by a gold ring. The fabric was loose and draped down my back leaving my whole back bare. My red hair was pinned up and a gold laurel of olive branches rested on my head.

"This isn't exactly what I meant...but I do look good." I nodded in satisfaction, pleased with my appearance before walking through the portal after the warlock.
