"Haaaa.... Damn it"

I lean on the boulder behind me while panting in exhaustion. I grunt a little when I feel the pain coming from my arms. I take out the potion from my inventory and drink it. I can feel my body rejuvenate and my stamina return to me. Not all of them, but it was enough for me to fight again.

I never thought that a fluffy ball of hair could be this annoying. Currently, I'm still in the forest where the hordes of BonBon and FurFur are located. The deeper I get into their location, the higher their level is and the more monsters I need to fight.

Lucky for me, they did not spawn when I was there. I think their spawn rate is relatively long, and I did not need to fight them without seeing their number get reduced continuously. At least I know I can destroy them before they could respawn.

However, I know I cannot wipe them up just yet.

I need a rune attached to me. The Suikoden series is the place where the rune is the source of power, and I need it. Even the most basic rune will do.

I get up from the ground and reveal my status.

The potion gives me one hundred and fifty HP. It does really heal the grievous injury of ordinary people. For strong people? It will not do much. I guess it can heal on injury if you pour it on the said injury, but it will not work for multiple injuries.

I shake my head and walk away from the forest. I need to get back to the village and ask if they have a rune shop in there.

~A few hours later~

"A rune shop? Nay. We don't have those. Only a city that has a rune shop and lucky for you, Sol-Falena is nearby. You can go there and buy some if you want. However, you need a lot of money to buy it. The last time I heard, it cost four thousand to buy one water rune and need another hundred to attach it to your body."

"I see. Thank you for your information."

"Think nothing of it. Is there anything else?"

"Yeah, I need a map if you have it?"

"You go to the general shop near the entrance. It should be the second building to the right of the entrance."

"I see. Thank you."

"No problem, kiddo."

I look at the clock on the wall and decide to stop for today. I will go to the capital tomorrow. I get up upstairs and get inside my room. I take off my clothes and get ready to take a bath before I remember there is no bath in this building other than the deluxe room.

I also remember I did not have another pair of clothes. I get down once again and decide to ask the inn owner where I can buy some clothes.

"Clothes? Our neighbour is a clothes shop. You can go there to buy everyday clothes and some formal ones."

"Thank you. I really need some clothes, right now. I leave behind my bag full of clothes when a large number of monsters are chasing after me. Lucky for me my pouch is inside my clothes."

"My condolence."

"Thank you. Also, can I ask if this place has a bathhouse or something?"

"Bathhouse? There is one in this village but it was not as great as the one in Yashuna Village."

"Shouldn't you boost this village bathhouse?"

"And what? Lying to my customer? I know when to give up, kid. I did not tell you the bathhouse here, just that you cannot compare it to the one in Yashuna Village."

"Fair enough. Anyway, once again thank you."

"No problem, kid."

I nod my head and walk out of the inn. I guess I need to go on a shopping spree. Lucky for me, the monster drops money, and I hunt many of them.

~Sometimes later~

I release a tired breath and enjoy the warm water. I bought four pairs of everyday clothes and one formal one. I did not know if I needed to wear formal attire, but I decided to buy them just in case I needed it.

While shopping, I also want to buy something: a set of armour. I did not have one, and I needed them before going to the BonBon nest. Because of this reason, I decided tomorrow, I would hunt all day to gather enough money and level up.

Rune, Set of Armour, and maybe a secondary weapon like a knife.

I really need to grind, huh? Well, I will think about it tomorrow. For now, I need to relax and regain my strength.
