The journey is a pleasant one. I spend my time talking with the prince, and I like him. He has this kind of Charisma that makes me like him. He is a good kid.

Lyon is also a good young woman. She is loyal, kind, and brave. She is also easily embarrassed when I tease her about how she likes the prince.

Sialeeds is the one I connect with the most. She is kind, sharp, and likes to tease. However, behind her teasing, there is a sense of adventure that she will never get because she is still a member of Royalty.

"How is it, Jacob?"

"Hmmm? What is it, Sialeeds?"

"How is it? How is the world? I have never been to the north. How is it?"

"The north, huh? That depends, I guess."

"Depend on what?"

"Which place do you want to ask? The Scarlet Moon Empire is a beautiful place if you did not go to the edge of the empire where poverty runs rampant. The Cities-States of Jowston is a peaceful place, filled with mountains and grassland. Sadly, they are too blind to see the incoming threat to their peace and keep bickering with each other."

"Is that so?"

"Yes. You guys are really lucky to have Queen Arshtat."

"Oh? My sister?"

"Yes. Queen Arshtat is a just and benevolent queen."

"The people of Lordlake will disagree with you."

I can hear her murmuring that word, but the other can still hear it.

"That is why I joined the Sacred Games. I want to take some chances and maybe make the queen change her mind on the Lordlake situation."

"Wait! You are competing in Sacred Games?!"

Freyjadour, Lyon, and Sialeeds look at me with shocked expressions.

"Wait. I never tell you guys about this?"

"No, you did not. We talk about your life and our life but we never talk about you competing in the Sacred Games."

"Well, I did. Here is my participation card."

I give Sialeeds the card that I got from Ferid and let her look at it for a few seconds.

"This is real... I can see Ferid's signature on the back."

"Ferid? Is he the Lord Commander? Because he is the one giving me this card."

"Yes. Ferid is the prince's father and the Lord Commander of the Queen's Knight."

"I see."

I take my card back and store it inside my inventory.

"You must be strong, Jacob."

Freyjadour looked at me with a new light.

"Well, I know my way with a sword, my prince."

|Swordsmanship (Advanced)| |Passive| |Level: 28|

A road to master, nice. Sadly, it needs a lot of practice and fighting to increase it. I'm really lucky to have a dungeon that stops time on the outside because I spend most of my day there training and hunting.

"Can you teach me?"

I look at him and say,

"I'm sorry, my prince. I cannot teach you the way of a sword. You already take the way of staff, and if I teach you how to use a sword, all of your hard work will be gone. I can teach you the basics, but other than that, I will not teach you."

Other than that reason, I also did not know how to teach someone. I can only teach him how to hold a sword and how to have a correct stance.

"Awwww."

"Don't worry, prince! You will find a teacher to teach you to use staff!"

Sialeeds, and I chuckle a little at their behavior. I was about to say something, but the captain decided to shout.

"Land Ho!"

Ah, it looks like we have arrived. All of us get out of the ship as the captain says.

"We cannot take you to the Lordlake directly, your majesty. The fortress blocks all the water and any access to the Lordlake."

"Don't worry about it, Captain. We understand."

"Thank you, your majesty. Lordlake is in the southeast. Just follow the river and you should arrive in Lordlake in a few hours. We will wait here for your return."

"Of course!"

With that, we continue our journey on foot.

~Sometimes later~

I move quickly and cut down the monster that is trying to maul Sialeeds.

"Thanks!"

Sialeeds shout and throw her chakram at the werewolves coming at us. These werewolves are different than the ones I fight in the Potterverse. They are faster and more durable. They are called Ulse.

There are forty of them coming at us. Usually, I will have a hard time facing them alone, but with Georg with us, the fight only lasts for a few minutes.

"Haaa... Finally! I hate fighting in this kind of weather."

Sialeeds wiped the sweat off of her forehead and drank all the water in the bottle.

"Jacob~ Can you fill the bottle for me?"

"Haaaa... What am I? Your personal butler?"

"Please~"

I roll my eyes at her cutesy act and conjure a blob of water that I put inside her bottle of water. I also fill the other bottle of water and continue our journey.

"I must say, Jacob. Your magic is great. With a swish of your wand, you can conjure water and even clean our bodies!"

Well, that is Harry Potter magic for you. Of course, they are not as powerful as magic in the Suikoden world, but they are very versatile.

"Thank you."

"Hmmm, I should continue my magic training."

Sialeeds rubs her chin for a few seconds before saying.

"Can I learn about your magic?"

"Ah, sadly not."

"I thought so. Magicians will not want to share their magic with others. Shame."

That is not the reason. You can't learn it because you do not have any magic core inside your body like the rest of the magicians in this world. Even if you have, you need special access to break the world's rules.

I only get this because that bastard gave this magic to me.

"We are here."

I snap from my thoughts when Georg speaks. I look at where he is pointing his finger and see a city in the distance. The city looks like an abandoned city, but I can see a man running toward the city. It was not yet abandoned.

I have a feeling that they will not welcome us with kindness.

And when we arrived in front of the city's main entrance, I could see many people frowning at us, some even spitting at our sight.

Yup. We are not welcome here.
