JAMES' POV

I couldn't sleep. I should have been exhausted from the eight hour flight and the wedding festivities but I couldn't get my brain to shut down. Lulu was currently passed out on the bed, snoring softly while I sat on the balcony of our hotel room looking out at all the beauty before me.

Lulu and I having our wedding in September meant we didn't get to enjoy lots of snow since it was fall in Switzerland but for someone who lived in the dessert all his life, it was cold enough for me.

Our room was amazing. We had a king size bed, a master luxury bathroom, a huge balcony with a heated pool that allowed us the beautiful view of Fischer national park and its majestic snow covered mountain.

The hotel offered a variety of different activities that Lulu and I would get to enjoy over the course of the next one week before we moved our honeymoon elsewhere. The groom was always in charge of the honeymoon but since my family and I had catered for the wedding Lulu and her family had insisted on being in charge of the honeymoon.

I took another sip of my hot cocoa and smiled when the bright morning rays reflected off my ring. I was a married man, to the most beautiful, amazing, kind hearted and loving woman. I had no idea what I had done in my past life to deserve Lulu but whatever it was, I thanked God everyday for deeming me worthy of her. Our wedding had been pure bliss and definitely one of the best days of my life. Lulu had looked phenomenal in her gown. It had incorporate her style plus my culture when she added the Shuka train and I loved that. We'd spent so many months planning our big day and it had gone as smoothly as we had hoped. Now it was just Lulu and I forever as husband and wife.

I had no idea how long I sat out there but I was startled from my daydreams by soft warm hands wrapping themselves around my shoulders.

"Why aren't you in bed with me?"Lulu mumbled in a sleepy voice as she kissed my neck.

"I couldn't sleep."I replied setting my cup down so I could pull her into my lap.

"Why? Are you okay? What's wrong?"Lulu asked cupping my face so she could look into my eyes.

She looked so cute fussing over me like that

"Nothing's wrong, I'm okay, I promise."I assured her taking her hands and kissing the tips of her fingers.

She assessed my eyes to make sure I wasn't lying to her and when she saw that I was being sincere she nodded and snuggled into me burying her face in my chest.

"You were pretty tired when we arrived, how are you feeling?"I asked Lulu running my fingers through her unruly curls.

"Still jet lagged, I have no idea how you're awake right now."She replied suppressing a yawn.

"I have no idea either, I mean I am tired but I can't get myself to sleep."I answered.

"How about a shower or a bath? Might relax you enough so you can sleep."Lulu suggested.

"Only if you take one with me."I rambled out without thinking about words.

Lulu lifted her hands from my chest and looked at me with wide eyes. I was expecting her to reject me and say no but she surprised me by smiling and kissing me softly.

"Okay."She answered getting off my lap and holding her hand out for me.

I didn't even question it, just grinned happily and followed her back into the room towards the bathroom.

She let go of my hand to start filling the tub so I took that chance to tie up my dreads so they wouldn't get soaked.. They were getting longer day by day meaning they took a longer time to dry up.

Once Lulu was done with the tub, she turned to look at me with a shy look in her eyes.

"We don't have to do this you know."I said looking at her.

"We can't keep putting off seeing each other naked. We've been together for more than a year and we've never seen each other fully naked. We're husband and wife now so unless we plan on being celibate for life, we've got to do this sooner rather than later. Unless you don't really want to."Lulu rambled on insecurities slipping into her voice.

I shook my head and took three wide steps towards her. I lifted her up effortlessly and placed her on the sink so we were eye to eye.

"Don't ever think that again. I want this, I want you. I have from the moment I met you and its been hard holding back all this time but I respected you enough to wait until you were my wife. You're finally are and all I want to do is rip the clothes off your body and make love to you all day long. I just have to be sure that this is what you want too."I explained to her.

"I want this."Lulu replied smiling at me.

I didn't wait for any other explanation, just stepped away from her long enough to turn off the taps in the tub. I picked Lulu up once again and carried her to the bedroom placing her gently on the unmade bed.

"Do you trust me?"I asked Lulu hovering over her as I supported my weight on my elbows.

"Undoubtedly."She replied looking into my eyes so I could see the reflection of her emotions in her brown orbs.

She really did trust me and even if I was scared as hell that I would disappoint her for her first time, I needed to get over myself. Lulu was giving me a gift and I had to man up and treasure it because I only got one chance to prove myself to her.

"I love you."I whispered leaning in to kiss her.

"I love you too."She answered.

I adjusted our positions so that I could take off her t-shirt without crushing her. Once I saw her beautiful naked breasts for the first time I was a goner and it led to the best sex of my life.

"Before you ask, that was great. I couldn't have imagined a better first time."Lulu sighed satisfactorily as she lay in between my legs while we soaked in the tub after our lovemaking.

"Thanks for soothing my ego, I was afraid you were just faking all those moans."I joked making her snort and slap my bare thigh that was peaking above the water surface.

"Do you need the verbose notes now or later?"She teased back.

"Definitely later, let me soak in all the glory first."I replied wrapping my arm around her chest as I played with her beautiful wet naked skin.

Lulu was flawless, I'd seen her in a bikini or in her underwear a couple of times but nothing compared to seeing her fully naked. Being able to touch her, kiss her, make love to her, feel her skin on my own, that was an indescribable feeling.

"I know you weren't staying pure for me but still thank you for waiting, it was an honor being your first."I thanked her kissing her temple.

"You're welcome, I'm glad I waited too. Now I have something to hold over your head forever."She answered smiling.

"I don't mind."I shrugged sincerely.

Lulu and I were officially one in flesh and it had been perfect getting to know her that intimately.

"Next time, how about we try for a baby."I teased.

I expected Lulu to cuss me out for suggesting something like that but her reaction surprised me even more.

"We didn't exactly use protection and I'm not on any form of contraception so I think we've already began looking for kids. Are we ready to become parents after only just getting married?"Lulu asked addressing the big question.

"I'm sure I want kids with you, maybe two, maximum three. I'm twenty eight right now so at that age where kids is a good idea. Bottom line is, I'm all for kids anytime that you're comfortable with. You're the one getting pregnant babe o you call the shots."I explained.

Lulu turned around in my arms to face me to that her naked chest rubbed against mine sending delicious shivers to all the right places.

"Thank you for saying that. I do want kids with you too but I'd like to wait about six months to a year until we start trying, if I'm not already pregnant now. I want to enjoy you all to myself first, then we can introduce a bundle of joy to the family."Lulu said making me smile.

"That's a good plan babe, I can't wait to expand our family but only when the time is right and you're comfortable with it."I replied.

She smiled and leaned up to kiss me before turning back to her original position with her back against my chest.

"Have you given any more thought to what you want to do now that you're done with your humanitarian job at Ndoto?"I asked Lulu.

Just because we'd had the unveiling ceremony didn't mean that the work Lulu had been doing at Ndoto had been complete. As she had been planning our wedding, she had also been finalizing her work and spearheading the uplifting of nearby villages.

"Will you love me any less if I say I want to be a stay at home wife and mom?"Lulu retorted.

"No of course not, but I don't think you're the stay at home kind babe. You need something to do and you can definitely multi task, be a wife, mom, queen and still work."I replied.

"Yeah you're right and besides Marini would kill me if she heard that I decided to stay home and raise a family. She gave up too much for me to just baby sit my degree at home."Lulu commented.

"I've been thinking about it a lot and I decided that I want to actually start seriously farming, put my agrochemistry degree to good use while still performing my humanitarian duties as long as they are close to home. When it becomes too much, I'll hand over my responsibilities to another and just concentrate on being a farmer, a wife and a queen to the people of Ndoto."Lulu informed me.

"I like that plan and will support you one hundred percent whenever and wherever you need me."I replied kissing her hair once more and hugging her closer.

"I really did win the jackpot in supporting husbands. You are the best thing to even happen to me, James Lankenua."Lulu admitted making me smile.

"Are you kidding? Your sister sending you to Ndoto, you running into Tuba and stumbling into me at the sanctuary is the greatest gift fate gave me. You Lulu Kawira Lankenua are my dream come true, you are all I ever wanted and didn't know until I got you. I'm lucky you stumbled into me, fell in love with me she said yes to spending the rest of your life with me. I'm a lucky man to be called your husband and I can't wait to grow old and grey together. I love you."I confessed tilting her chin so I could kiss her.

"I love you too."She said teary eyed when I released her chin.

We were both quiet for a while after that soaking in each other presence and basking in our love for each other. It was Lulu and I forever and I would spend the rest of my life treating her like the queen she was. We would continue choosing each other forever.

"This place has so much to do and we're doing it all this week before we travel to Iceland."Lulu said looking at a pamphlet we had found in the bathroom of all services offered by the hotel.

There was so much to choose from the Swiss Lounge, Heidi's Snack Shop, the lakeside Ptarmigan Dining Room as well as a Gift Shop, Red Bus tours, boat cruises, horseback rides and evening ranger programs.

I was especially looking forward this horse riding, that sounded fun.

"Iceland, I thought we were going to Netherlands?"I asked.

"We're doing it all baby, cold, cold, cold. You'll love skiing and ice skating on frozen lakes, trust me."Lulu assured me.

"You're the boss babe, I trust you."I relented knowing I'd follow her to the end of the world if I had to.

"Great but for now let's just stay here in this bubble filled warm tub. I don't feel like moving."Lulu moaned ditching the pamphlet so she could snuggle further into my chest.

I had no issues staying wet and naked longer so I just sat back, relaxed and let her run the show. She was after all my wife and like the saying went, happy wife, happy life.

Three weeks later.

Lulu and I ditched our bags outside the door as I carried her through the threshold of our home for the first time as a married couple.

The house had taken longer than a few weeks to complete since I'd realized that I needed to renovate the whole house to fit with the newly and improved backyard. It was the first time Lulu was seeing it fully complete so I kept my fingers crossed that she would like it.

"I didn't ask you to close your eyes so why are they closed?"I asked Lulu as I set her down in the living room.

"I want to be surprised."She replied her eyes still closed.

"Okay then, we're inside, you can open them."I replied.

Lulu slowly opened her eyes and I was holding my breath waiting for her reaction. The house was completely transformed from the original form to be bigger and better. I followed Lulu as she roamed through the whole house taking everything in silently.

Besides the master bedroom, there were three other bedrooms each with their own bathrooms and closets. The living room had floor to ceiling windows on one wall that opened up to the beautiful backyard of the savannah. It had three long grey couches, two arms chairs, two coffee tables, a fire place and a fifty two inch flat screen tv mounted on the wall. The high ceiling was decorated with simple hanging lights.

The kitchen had been renovated with the same wooden design as the rest of the house. Lulu loved to cook so I'd made sure that everything would cater to her needs. There was a modern stove, oven, double door fridge, two sinks, wall cabinets stocked fully and a pantry. The floor was covered in a brown sisal mat. There was a six chair table in the kitchen for when our family increased. I'd foregone a formal dining room since Lulu had expressed her dislike for it as she had been giving me ideas for the house.

The final surprise was the backyard. It had cost me more than a pretty penny because the first time Lulu had visited my house she had expressed her love for my backyard so I'd invested everything into making it a dream worthy of her. I'd built a deck on two sides of the house, all in the backyard facing the plains. One one side was an outdoor lounge area with a sofa, couple of arm chairs and two hammocks. On the other side was a dug in fire pit surrounded by gray full sofas. The most impressive part was the huge pool. I was impressed by how it had turned out so I hoped my wife would like it too.

Lulu turned to me with tears in her eyes, her hand clasped over her mouth.

"Too much? Too little?"I asked worriedly when she didn't say anything for a few minutes, just stared at me.

Lulu suddenly launched herself at me taking me by surprise. I stumbled back but was quickly able to stabilize myself before we fell.

"I love it."Lulu cried in my neck.

I sighed in relief and hugged her tighter, happy that my effort had paid off.

I had promised Lulu the world and I would work my ass off to give it to her because she deserved it.

"Fancy a dip."I teased Lulu tightening my hold on her.

"Jamie no!"She yelled when she realized what I had in mind.

She struggled to get out of my hold but I was stronger than her. I took a few steps back dropping the both of us into the cold pool. Lulu screamed as we hit the surface of the water both of us being completely submerged. I lost hold of her once we were under but I emerged a few moments later with Lulu not far behind. She was glaring at me unimpressed by the stunt I'd just pulled.

"You're lucky I love you."She spat out splashing me with water.

I swam towards her and pulled her into my arms kissing her soundly.

"I love you more dear wife."I grinned when we pulled apart.

"Thank you for my dream home husband."Lulu said hugging me as she wrapped her legs around my waist under the water.

"Anything for my beautiful queen."I replied meaning each word.

I would do anything to make sure Lulu was happy. It was my responsibility as her husband to treat her like a queen for the rest of our lives and I would make sure I fulfilled all my duties to her.

Lulu pulled away and started stripping while still in the water. She tossed her wet clothes and shoes onto the deck
