The day was the same as usual.

The same peoples, the same chatters and the same feelings.

If today was any different, it would be Aiyana's mood.

From the morning, Aiyana looked troubled and deep in thought. She was currently wearing a high neck sweater as she wanted to hide her mates's mark from others eyes.

During breakfast and lunch too, she had repeatedly glanced at her brother as if wanting to say him something but was conflicted.

Coincidentally, Azazel had some important kingly duty to do today. So she had not seen him from the morning. If she did, maybe she could have shared her thoughts with him.

She finally approached her brother during dusk, hesitant to inform him something.

Ajax ceased his conversation with his friends, glanced at her and finally gave her his full attention.

I need to talk to you about something. It's important.

What is it?

Can we talk in private? She asked desperately.

Ajax followed her eyes to see her glancing at Sasha uncomfortably, to which Sasha just stared at her annoyingly.

But before he could say something, loud clappings resonated around the house catching his attention.

He glanced back to see his close friend Elijah clapping his hands in mockter and glaring at Aiyana with all his disgusted might.

"So the bitch has finally showed her true colors, hah?" he spoke loud enough to catch everyones attention. People followed his eyes to see it was pointed on Aiyana.

Ajax was confused as hell. And Aiyana? Oh, our little Aiyana had no idea what was about to happen.

"What are you saying, Eli?" Ajax asked him confused.

"What am I saying?! I am saying that your little sister is a bitch who had finally showed her true colors!!!" Elijah screamed in anger.

"Elijah!! Mind your tongue!!" Ajax retorted back in anger.

"No no no Ajax. You don't understand!! Cause you don't see your sister as we see her!! She is nothing but a fake pathetic bitch!!!"

Before Ajax could retort anything to stop him, he continued.

"Do you know what she did?!! She slept with my sister's mate!! How dare she!!?!! Because of her, my sister is about to die of rejection!!!" Elijah spit out venomous words of furies in front of Ajax, shocking everyone present there. Mumbles and whispers questioning Aiyana's character filled the whole vicinity.

"What are you saying Elijah?! My sister is innocent!! She is not in a relationship with anybody!!!" Ajax spit back.

"Oh really?!! Then do say, why does you sister smell like a marked person, huh? Tell me!!!"

"What????.... " Ajax stared at him confused. Mark? What mark? How can that be-

"Yes! Mark!! She is marked!! I can smell it!! FREAKING we all can smell it!! She is marked!!"

Aiyana who had no clue what was even happening, suddenly felt a tear-jerking force on her hand and in a blink, her sweater's neck was viscously torn apart, only to reveal her dark mates mark on the base of her neck.

The conservative girl, was so scared by the action that she was shaking in fear and embarrassment.

Her brother approached her, but instead of comforting her as she had expected, he had instead glanced at her mark with a disgusted face. Disgust for her.

With an ice cold face, he signed her a simple question.

Are you in a relationship with someone?

When she remained quiet, he jerked herself by her arms, bruising them with his nails.

Tell me!!

Yes. Aiyana nodded to him.

Who is he?? Is he Elora's mate???

How could she tell him the identity of her mate? If he was so disgusted by her mark, then how disgusted will he feel if he came to know that she was the mate of King Azazel?

So she just bowed her head and remained quite.

"See!!?! Her silence is the answer!! She really slept with Kyle!! The audacity of this bitch!!"  Elijah screamed in anger and was about to slap Aiyana when he was confiscated by other male members of the pack.

Aiyana had no idea what was going on. Who is Elora's mate? What did she do? She sleeps on her bed. Why would she sleep with him. (She did not understand Ajax's question at all.)

She glanced around to try to understand what was happening and saw everyone talking and giving her hateful and disgusted stares.

She suddenly held her brother's arms and started to shakily explain him what she saw the other night.

I don't know what's happening. But I just came here to tell you what I saw. Yesterday night, I saw your girlfriend Sasha kissing a guard. She is cheating on you. I just wanted to tell you this. That's it!" She was even crying at the end.

Ajax's eyes widened in shock and disbelief. When Sasha noticed Aiyana pointing at herself during her signing, she asked Ajax of what she was speaking of.

"She says that you are cheating on me with a guard." Ajax whispered what he saw.

Sasha was shocked. How did this bitch-? She immediately started explaining herself.

"Baby, No. She is lying. Don't believe her. I am not cheating on you. She is telling lies to separate us so that I don't tell you her dirty secret." In her defense, Sasha spoke out whatever that came into her mind.

"What secret?..... I asked what secret is she hiding??!" Ajax asked her in rage.

"She-She was having sex with a man in the garden!! I saw it! It must be Kyle!!!" Sasha tried to push her on the mud that she was standing on to save herself.

But someone at that time retorted from the crowd.

"You are lying. Kyle was playing with us the whole night in the playroom!!"
A chorus of 'Yes' followed after the comment, proving it true.

Sasha was speechless for a second before she spoke again. Surely, one lie gives birth to another.

"Then-Then it must have been someone else! Yes!! It was dark so I couldn't see his face! But she was definitely doing the deed. I heard her!!! Believe me!!"

Whispers started erupting in the whole area again. This time, labeling Aiyana as slut and many more vulgar words.

It was Almighty's blessing that Aiyana was a deaf girl. Otherwise she would have died in mortification after hearing such cruel and deadly piercing accuses from every surrounding.

Suddenly another shout resonated in the crowd.

"What did you say? Repeat loudly again!!" With that a dainty looking nerd was pushed out of the crowd, who in the pressure of his pals, spoke something which completely tore Ajax's last thread of patience away.

"I said I saw her!! I saw Aiyana roaming in the gardens many times during night. And she didn't look to be alone." His last sentence was said quietly, still the sensitive ears of all werewolves present there heard it clearly.

"Enough!!" Ajax's voice boomed around the whole room, silencing everyone.

Ajax stood in front Aiyana. But before she could even ask him of anything of what was happening, he gave her a hard slap on her cheek.

Her face turned with its impact and the harsh sound of it resonated in the whole silent room.

A shocked Aiyana, who could now clearly feel the sting on her cheeks, glanced at her brother, only to see him mouthing something.

"Disgusting slut."

When her brain registered what her brother had said, she felt everything around her shatter with a velocity that her naive heart pierced. As if someone had just stabbed her heart with many  ice shards.

With her shocked eyes cast downwards, tears of utter pain and betrayal streamed down her face.

She closed her eyes for a second and then glanced at her brother with an emotionless face, to see him standing there breathing heavily while avoiding her stare.

She had had enough!

She, at once, ran away from the crowded room towards the entrance of the pack house and on to the outside world. She kept running and running while sounds of sobs continued to wheeze through her mouth.

Her brother.

The brother she loved and respected above no other.

How could he do this to her??

It wasn't just a slap for Aiyana.

The action signified of how little he trusted her. Of how he could just believe the lies of his two-faced friends rather than the truth of his own sister.

He had always done this. Prioritizing his own reputation above everyone. Even his sisters betterment.

Today, Aiyana realized that like everyone, her brother too, was a selfish person who had never truly cared for her.

All he cared about was his own environment.

While she was lost in her hurtful thoughts, she did not notice a group of drunk teenagers tailing behind her.
