Nazia smiles at him, causing Kabir to raise an eyebrow. He leans in, balancing his elbows on the table as he watches her brown eyes with a small dipple assisted smile. "What happened?" he asks, rubbing his lips just in case her lipstick came onto his lips.

She shakes her head, causing her long brown hair to fall from her bun. Instead of fixing them up, she lets the waves flow down. "There's nothing," she comments, taking a sip from her milkshake. She purses her lips, careful to make sure her red lipstick doesn't stain the straw.

Kabir merely chuckles at her, snatching a french fry off her plate. "Hey!" she says, her eyes widening as he chews down with a smirk. "You're such an asshole."

"But you still love me," he replies, forcing his lips into a grand smile. The action itself makes Nazia's stomach flip over with butterflies she can't control, each one furiously flapping against each other.

It's just the way he is; equipped with a lazy grin, laughter always by his side, his hair perfectly messy and the way he does everything with love. It's no mystery why Nazia can't ever control the butterflies that arrive with his touch despite the fact they've known each other for two years.

"Why?" she asks, smirking as she grabs a fry off his plate. He doesn't bother to comment, instead focusing on the way her lips moved.

"Because I love you?"

"Why?" This time, she lets a small laugh escape her lips with the words. For this first time, Kabir looks slightly confused like a lost puppy. His eyes are focusing onto her face as his lips move into a straight line with concentration.

"Because you're amazing," he starts off, watching her with his light brown eyes. She blinks, her mascara coated eyelashes fluttering as she becomes surprised by his short answer. Before she gets to comment on how short that is, Kabir takes her hand into his. The jiggle of her sliver bracelets echoes in the empty cafe.

The couple are the few people here, amongst a crowd of teens and an old couple. The only noises present are Kabir's smoothing voice, the teens' laughter and the music playing near the counter. If you strained your ear enough, you could hear the clanks of the pots behind the sign of 'Cooks Only' sign.

"I love the way you wake up. Your first reaction is to check if I'm awake and when you think I'm not, you always smile at me and place a kiss on my forehead. I love the way you always know what days are bad and what days are good for me just from the way my eyes look. The way you'll always be willing to sit on the terrace and drink chai with me until midnight. The fact you'll always call me whenever you're late and spend minutes just apologizing and explaining how much you'll rather be at home."

"I love your perfume. It just lingers in the air even when you're gone and it makes me ridiculously happy whenever I can smell it. It reminds me of you. How you've always been here for me and I've always been here for you for these last two years and how each day was spent with a smile on my face. Every time I see you, I know that you're the only person I want to spend the rest of my life with."

"And yeah, I'm ridiculously in love with you," he finishes off, resting his head in his palm. With every word, his eyes were firmly placed on her face. They trailed her lips, her nose piercing, dark eyebrows and remained placed on her eyes and how much love they had for him.

At first, Nazia stares at Kabir. She constantly blinks, afraid that the perfect illusion will break. With a sharp intake of her breath, she realizes how real Kabir is, how loving he is and how much she's fallen for him and his lazy yet sweet personality.

Nazia leans in, letting her red lips touch Kabir's lips for a moment. "Thank you," she whispers as her body looms over their table. The fries and milkshakes lay forgotten under their bodies as they kiss for a moment.

Nazia breaks off the kiss first and she sits back in her spot, her eyes unwilling to move off Kabir. "Go ahead," she sighs, taking his hand in hers. Her hand rubs his engagement ring, reminding her of their relationship status. The thought of that itself makes Nazia even more happy.

She looks up with a set smile on her face, taking in his raised eyebrow. "It's my turn to spew romantic lines to you," she explains, causing Kabir to chuckle. He waves his hands, gesturing her to begin.

"How did we even start giving each other such cheesy dialogues in the middle of some greasy cafe?" he asks, watching her lips expand into a smile. Despite her whole gothic look - nose piercing, pitch black hair that looms over her leather denim jacket and eyes full with kajal and eyeliner - she looks ridiculously happy.

Anyways, it was wrong to call Nazia a goth. Nazia was filled with so much sugar, a sweetness that she has a habit of giving to others. Her dressing style differs, from a gothic look to bright yellow sundresses but the eye makeup always remains.

Nazia shrugs, her eyes scanning Kabir. There must be a reason why she loves him so much, something that attaches her so close to him and his peppermint cologne. "I love how your hair is always perfectly messy and always smells nice."

Kabir laughs, his eyes sparkling in the last rays of the sunlight. He doesn't even comment on how short and ridiculous her answer is, he instead makes the best of it and laughs. Nazia watches this all, a buttery feeling coming to her stomach.

"I love you because you always know how to make everything better. You just know when I'm upset and you know what makes me feel okay. You don't ever care to ask why I'm crying, just play another cheesy movie, make popcorn and snuggle next to me until I tell you. You just know how to make everything better, like some fucking filter on some app."

"I swear to God, every time I see you laughing, I find myself falling for you more. Did I ever even mention how amazing it is to come home with music playing? How beautiful your songs are and how much more beautiful they become when you sing them to me? Or how annoying you are when you decide to sing Sheila ki Jawani whenever I'm ignoring you to watch a movie? Or how attached I am to your voice?"

"I'll be sitting at work and randomly, I'll start to miss you. It's just the way your voice is, a song will pop into my head and remind me of how amazing you are," Naiza tells him, her eyes casted to the fries as she softly smiles. Each memory of him is so sweet to her.

This time, Kabir slides into Nazia's side of the booth. The holes in the seat don't bother to impact him as he brushes his light denim jeans against it. However, the way his lips meet with Nazia does. This time, the kiss is softer like a silent promise of their love to last enterninty.

"How on Earth are you so amazing?" Kabir asks, breaking off the kiss. His jeans brush past her skinny jeans, ensuring they're close as possible. Nazia shrugs and laughs, making her black hair brush past her shoulders to her lap.

"I could say the same for you."

Kabir smiles, wrapping his fingers around her hands. He traces her knuckles, laying them on the table. A paint stain still remains on her hands, traces of her painting at work today. The color is red, the same shade as her lipstick and it slightly resembles blood.

"Did you murder someone?" he quizzes, asking her about the paint. He raises an eyebrow and Nazia looks down to her hands. She lets out a small laugh.

"Of course not! I spilled paint all over myself. Plus, who would I even murder?"

"I can think of a few people," Kabir says, trying to hide his smile by pressing his lips together. Nazia raises an eyebrow at him. "There's my parents when they ask when we're getting married, when people don't hurry up at the shopping mall, your boss when you wear too much eyeliner, me when I decide to mock everyone in your favorite Bollywood movie -"

"- okay, that enough."

Kabir laughs, taking another fry out of Nazia's box and chewing while Nazia glares at him. "Oh and me when I steal your fries," he adds. "I swear you love your fries more than me."

"It's true," she admits. Kabir gasps loudly, placing a hand over his heart dramatically. "I'm joking!"

Kabir gives her a glare and she flashes him a large smile. "You know I love you," she comments, inching closer to him as her smile brightens. It doesn't help that Nazia has white teeth, pink lips and possibly the most perfect teeth on a person ever. Kabir's teeth are average compared to her due to his previous smoking ways.

Kabir starts to move away from her and in result, he falls to the floor quite dramatically. His hands fly towards Nazia who has an agape mouth and several heads turn around to the couple. Kabir's cheeks turn into a light shade of pink and his ears burn an unflattering red.

Nazia starts laughing first. It comes out as small little giggles at first but then they turn into full out laughter. She holds her stomach, wheezing and laughing until her stomach hurts. Kabir shoots her a dirty look but slowly, a smile appears on his lips.

When he gets up, he dusts off the dirt off his jeans and takes a long look at Nazia. Her cheeks are pink from laughing a bit too hard. He can't help but to reveal his large smile no matter how much he tries to suppress it. He doesn't know why but whenever Nazia is happy, he finds a bit of him happy as well.

"You're such a jerk."

"I know you love me," she comments, flashing another killer smile before taking a bite of her chips.
