"Jordan please pay attention, we need a plan" I snapped to Jordan as he scrolled on Instagram on his phone. "It's less than a month until prom and you haven't asked Eliza yet!" I reminded him as he waved me off with his right hand, his left hand practically mother fucking glued to his phone.

It was one month after the school lock in. School wasn't easy, but I didn't expect it to be, although it was a lot easier than I imagined so. People were a lot more pitying than anything else, I didn't know what Katherine attempted to achieve by telling everybody my problems, but if it was to drive me crazy from sympathy, she achieved her goal.

At this period of time, I was sat in my room on my bed with Jordan in front of me. Eliza had set me up with the job of getting Jordan to ask her to prom in an extremely romantic way. She told Jordan that she wasn't going to be home until five due to prom committee (which surprisingly, she really enjoyed) and I thought this was the perfect time to meet with Jordan and figure out what he was doing for her. It wasn't going well though. For the past half hour, I had been attempting to help Jordan come up with a plan but to no avail. He was completely ignoring me and honestly did not care about prom.

"Jordan I'm not even kidding I'm about this fucking close to smacking your head with my table lamp" I threatened him, as I grabbed the lamp in my hand for emphasis.

"Okay! Okay! Jesus Christ woman" he said placing his phone on the bed. "I swear I won't touch my phone just put the lamp down" he slowly and carefully instructed.

I did as I was told, smirking in victory "so" I began, looking down at my notebook "tell me what your plan for asking Eliza to prom is" I ordered.

He raised an eyebrow "plan?" He asked "I was just gonna walk up to her and ask her, it worked when I asked her out" he shrugged.

"You were fourteen years old! Of course that worked!" I snapped before taking a deep breath in and rubbing my temples "this is senior prom, the last prom you will get, please be serious" I begged. Looking up from my notebook however, I noticed that he was balancing three pillows on his head at once.

"I am being serious" he said

I picked up the lamp again and held it close to his head "mess about one more time, I fucking dare you" I warned.

His eyes widened as they focused on the silver lamp held directly in front of his face, then looking up at me,"sorry" he apologised.

"Come on, let's brainstorm!" I said in a fake cheery voice, placing the lamp down.

"You give me a headache" he muttered.

"Well your face makes me sick, but we both love Eliza so shut the fuck up and help me so I can kick you out of my room" I demanded.

"I do have a plan Juliette!" He groaned finally.

"Well if you have a plan then that's great" I said "what is it?"

"I'm not telling you" He said defiantly as I grit my teeth and glared at him "please stop doing that, it's scary" he added as an afterthought.

"Tell me your plan!" I demanded.

"No you'll tell her!" He responded childishly.

"My entire life is pretty much a secret, now tell me!" I ordered.

"My entire life is pretty much a secret" he mimicked as I rolled my eyes. "Who the fuck do you think you are, Hannah Montana?"

I glared at him causing him to cower from fear.

He groaned loudly, emphasising his point as I raised an eyebrow at him. "Fine" he sighed. He reached into his bag, taking out a little box, around the size of my palm. Opening the box he revealed a beautiful ring, sitting the in the centre of the box, literally glinting against the light.

So shiny.

"You're not proposing to her are you?" I questioned in disbelief.

"Is a promise ring dumbass" he muttered. "I've been going out with her for years, and I love her. I saw it in the shops and it pretty much screamed for me to buy it."

"Since when do rings scream?"

"Oh you're so funny, you should be a comedian" he deadpanned "anyway, I'm planning on asking her to prom by giving her this."

"This is cute and all, but it's not going to cut it." I responded "so here's what you do, you take her on a double date, with me and Levi of course; then you slip it on a breadstick or something."

He nodded, "sounds good, but why a double date, I could just take her myself"

"Because I want to see it, duh." I responded.

He rolled his eyes, "great, are we done now?" He asked.

"Yes" I nodded, "now get out of my room."

"Gladly" he responded.

"Gladly" I mimicked childishly.

*****************************

"Not that dress, this dress" I said to Eliza, holding up a red mini dress. If it were the other way round I would never had worn that, but considering that it came out of her closet, I'm sure she was fine with it.

Eliza laughed "that's too small for me, but you can wear it!"

"No" I responded immediately.

"Why?" She gasped "if you're telling me to wear it then you must like it"

"It's nice but not something I would wear" I said inspecting it, running a hand down the fabric of the dress.

"Please" she begged.

"I shouldn't have brought it out" I muttered, dropping it back onto the bed.

Eliza stopped doing her makeup in the mirror, and turned to me "please Juliette, please please please please-" she began.

"Eliza shut the fuck up" I muttered.

"Please please please please" she continued.

"Eli-"

"Please please please please please please" she carried on, getting louder with each word.

"Fine!" I shouted.

"Yay!" She squealed

"I'll be back soon" I muttered spitefully.

She smirked in victory, I could see it in the mirror.

"Shut up" I muttered.

I went inside the bathroom and slipped off the knee length black dress I was wearing. I let it fall to the floor and kicked it to the side. Unzipping the red mini dress I stepped into it, slowly pulling it up my body. Leaving the back unzipped, I walked out of the bathroom motioning to Eliza to zip me up. I literally felt my breath leave my lungs as she zipped the dress.

"Are you sure this isn't a corset?" I asked Eliza, my back straight from the tightness of the dress. It was literally skin tight, I swear it was not an exaggeration.

"You look extremely hot" she said, pulling my hair out of a ponytail and bringing it to the front. "Is it too much to ask you to wear makeup?" She questioned.

"Force me to wear makeup and I swear I will go to the date in sweatpants" I threatened "also, you cannot force me in to heels. I think I have some red converses" I muttered the second bit to myself.

"It hate you" she responded.

"Fuck off" I answered, giving her an innocent, smile. "This feels like a top. Are you sure it's not a top?" I asked, pulling the dress further down my thighs.

"It's a dress" Eliza reassured.

"It doesn't feel like a dress" I repeated.

"Juliette it's a fucking dress" she responded.

"It still feels like a top to me" I muttered, but so quietly that she didn't even bother to respond to me, although I could she wanted to. I quickly went to her dressing table and slipped on some of the bracelets in order to cover the scars, even though Levi already knew about them.

"Why do you wear the bracelets?" Eliza asked

"I thought you kne-" I began explaining although she interrupted me.

"I do, but you don't care what people think of you, why don't you just show your wrists" she advised carefully.

I shrugged "It's not that I care about other people's opinions. I just don't want people to judge me or pity me'"

She nodded "Come on" she smiled putting the lipstick down. "We have a date to get to"

We agreed that we would meet the boys there. Mostly because there was no point in them picking us up if we both had a drivers licence and Aunt Jen's car was available today. She said that we were allowed to go on the date, despite it being a school night as long as we're back for eleven; she wouldn't have agreed at all if it wasn't for me spilling the details about Jordan's prom-posal plans. After that it didn't take much to convince her to let's us go.

When we told Eliza about the double date, to say that she was excited was an understatement. I don't think she was aware of Jordan's plan, it's just that (according to her) she's been waiting to go on a double date with me since she started going out with Jordan. Because of her excitement, we began getting ready at 6 o'clock despite the plan to meet the guys at 8. That meant she took an hour and a half to get ready. I took three minutes, and I tried on two different dresses.

Although I wasn't at all surprised by her proposal to get ready almost two hours early, because that's Eliza for you.

When we got to the venue, which was an extremely posh restaurant by the way, we noticed that the boys were stood outside like gentlemen.

How cute.

We both walked to the guys, Jordan and Eliza walking first.

"Hey beautiful" Levi muttered when he saw me walking towards him. He was wearing a black blazer and a dress shirt which was untucked, he was also not wearing a tie, his top button undone. He looked good.

"Is this your new way of greeting me?" I asked, laughing a little bit.

He nodded "it just seems to suit you, you like it?"

I smiled "I do, actually"

"Come on, let's go inside" he said to me, pressing his lips against my forehead before leading me inside the restaurant.

When we walked inside, we were greeted by a man in a black suit and black tie who stood at the front. "Do you have a reservation?" He asked.

"It's under Knight" Levi responded. The man in front of us nodded and lead us to a single table, it was very close to Jordan and Eliza's table which actually made me really glad because we could see everything they do from here. And not in the creepy-weird kind of way, in the I'm-really-happy-for-my-best-friend-and-I-can't-wait-to-tell-her-that-her-boyfriend-planned-pretty-much-all-of-this-by-himself-with-like-the-tiniest-bit-of-help-from-me kind of way.

Once we got to the table, I took off my coat and hung it at the back of the chair and took a seat.

I looked across to Levi who looked entirely flustered "you look, um, wow" he muttered.

I blushed "thank you" I responded, pulling my hair to the front to cover as much as my bare skin as I could.

For once, thick hair actually helped.

Before Levi could get even a word out, a waiter was by our table holding a notebook. "Are you ready to order?" He asked.

"I kinda want fries" I said quietly. For the last few days I had been craving a hamburger and fries but I've honestly been way too lazy to actually get up and drive to a fast food place.

"Miss, this is the most exclusive restaurant in the city and you want fries?" The waiter asked in complete and utter shock.

"And a hamburger." I added innocently, although his reaction was entertaining.

The waiter looked at Levi for backup but Levi shrugged himself. "The lady wants fries" he said "I want the same actually"

To say the man looked completely confused was an understatement. "Your food will be with you shortly" he muttered in defeat.

As soon as he left however both Levi and I pretty much burst out laughing, "you're so evil" he said through his laughter.

"I'm sorry, but I've been craving it like crazy recently" I said, laughing too.

"You should've called me, I would've brought you McDonalds" he responded.

"What did I do to deserve you?" I asked completely serious as he laughed.

"I think I'm the lucky one, I mean look at you" he said, using his head to motion towards me.

"You just like the dress you perve" I joked.

He chuckled "can't help it, I'm a boy"

"Ha ha" I chuckled sarcastically.

The evening went well after that, Levi and I both got our burger and fries and the look of the waiter's annoyed face was just pretty much worth everything. We spoke, he flirted and I flirted back. Now that I think about it, other than the picnic, we hadn't had an actual date-unless our breakfasts and coffee dates before we started going out actually counted. It was nice to finally be on a proper date with him at the proper restaurant as girlfriend and boyfriend. It was okay for me to actually flirt with him and it was not too bad when he complimented me and made me blush.

I liked it.

"Hey hey" Levi said quietly "don't be obvious but I think he's about to ask her"

I slyly looked to my side, eternally grateful for the tables being beside the other, before I noticed that Jordan had the ring in his hand, under the table to Eliza couldn't see.

I could barely hear what he was saying, but from what I could tell he started off with "Babe can I see the rings you're wearing today?"

Really. I bring up the classic breadstick thing and he goes 'can I see your hand?'

Idiot.

Eliza laughed in confusion "sure" she said, holding out her hand to him.

He took her fingers in between his, taking off the plastic ring on her ring finger "I don't like this ring"

Her eyebrows crinkled in amusement "since when were you so interested in rings?"

He quickly brought out the promise ring and slipped it onto her finger before she could even react. "Since I bought you a promise ring" he answered.

She basically ignored what he had said, staring at the ring.

She's probably blinded by the shininess.

I was too.

"What's this for?" She asked in confusion.

"Prom" he said simply, "be my date?" He questioned.

She nodded "obviously" she said before getting up and taking a seat on his lap and kissing him.

And that's all I needed to see.

What?

I didn't want to throw my food back up.

"Hey Levi?" I said quietly.

"Hm?" He hummed.

"I asked you out tonight right?" I questioned.

He nodded "why?"

"I get to pay" I smirked.

"Fuck" he whispered.
