"How's she doing?" Kash asked as Khy walked through the door. He had just come back from a doctors appointment with Ava to check on their baby. Everybody was still in shock that Ava was pregnant, including Ava herself.

This baby would be the first Bryant grandchild, all of their other cousins hadn't had any children yet, this generation of Bryant kids clearly weren't rushing to be parents.

Khyren himself wasn't rushing either—being a dad at 23, almost 24 was certainly not in his life plan. He'd thought about having kids, plenty of times. He was open to to it, just not now, and especially not in the situation that he was in.

"She straight, she is indeed carrying my child. Seems like it was like...a Valentine's Day baby or something," he chuckled as Kash curled her lip up. "Shut up,"

"Well...how are you?" she asked, sitting up on the couch. "You okay?"

He took a seat beside her with a short sigh.

"I'm...confused about how I feel. Of course, you know a baby is a blessing, I'm blessed. I'm happy, but I don't know if I'm excited. That make sense?" he asked, looking over at her, and she nodded. "It's like I wanna be excited, that's my kid man. But how we gon raise a baby in two different houses?"

"Well...I know this sounds bad, but daddy did it," she chuckled and he couldn't help but laugh since their father didn't marry either of their mothers. "It's possible, and I know you can make it happen, Bubs," she smiled.

"Thank you, fat fat. It's just doubt, you know? Should we stay broken up? Would it be better if we just powered through it for the baby? What if we made the wrong choice," he said.

"I know it might seem like that, but imagine y'all stayed together in the situation y'all were in. The baby wouldn't be raised in a happy home, because presently, y'all are not happy together. It's not fair to bring a baby into an environment like that, Khy. Y'all have love and respect for each other so co-parenting should be a breeze, y'all got something bigger to worry about now," she told him.

He nodded in agreement, thankful to his sister for giving him an outside perspective. He honestly thought he'd drive himself crazy doing all the overthinking he was doing.

"One thing you gon know by the time my pooh is here is if you and Ava were meant to be together. Kids really bring the best and worst out of people," she commented.

"Oh hell yeah," he nodded in complete agreement. "Speaking of the worst, I called my mama and told her—her first question was why. Like why what?! Why? Man when I tell you I almost hung up in her face," he rolled his eyes.

"Why? She get on my nerves, she not even my mama," she shook her head. "You told dad, right?" she wondered and his annoyed expression turned into a big smile.

"He more excited than me and Ave. Man already planning on turning the spare room into a nursery, he drawing up plans and asking Anaya what colors she like, like we know the gender or something," he chuckled.

"Aww! He's so cute, he just wants to he a granddadddy," she laughed. "You already know I'm excited," she grinned.

"Yup, Tete Kash gon be in the room with us if she can," he chuckled, and she nodded eagerly. "I love you man, thank you for everything," he sighed.

"I love you too! There's no need to thank me, I'm just doing my job as your wonderful little sister. Let's go get some food. My treat?"

"Shit, you'on gotta tell me twice," he hopped up and she laughed as they walked toward her car together.

"Siah refuses to tell me what we're doing, so I'm buying an outfit for any possible outcome," Sadé shrugged, looking through racks at the mall. "I wish you were here," she pouted at Aryn over the phone.

Aryn was currently in Louisiana, visiting her grandparents which was much needed. After his surgery, Aryn was increasingly concerned about him often, so she took some time off to go home and this time, she brought Davon.

"Aw pooh, I'll be back for your birthday, promise," she grinned. Of course, Aryn knew all about Kasiah's plans, and even helped him out a little bit.

"I know, have fun with everyone," she smiled. "Tell Von I said hey,

"Hey Kash!" she heard him reply in the distance.

After they got off the phone she resumed playing her music, so she wouldn't be forced to listen to the ambient noise in the mall, she hated being without either someone to shop with or music to distract her.

"Ooh," she mumbled, pulling a dress out to look at when her phone started ringing again. "Hello?" she answered.

"Wassup Peanut?" Siah answered and she quickly shifted her attention down to her phone. "Where you at?"

"The mall," she smiled. "Where are you?"

"Garage," he stated simply. Since last week, he and Khyren had a lot of logistics and paperwork to go over with Mr. Frank. He wasn't completely pulling out of the business, while he was transferring ownership to the boys, he was still involved as an investor of sorts, which Khy and Siah liked, they didn't want him just sitting around making nothing.

"Aww, my working man," she cooed, making him smirk. "You really fine, you know that? Make me sick,"

"What?" he laughed. "I make you sick?"

"Yes! You just be existing and shit, I know people be looking at you and thinking you fine as hell, I should lock your ass up in your apartment," she shook her head, and he laughed harder. "You think I'm playing, especially now you got a haircut and suddenly Mr. Frank need you every day," she teased.

"I'on say nothing when you get yo' hair done and need instagram to see that shit before me, so I'on wanna hear shit from you," he pointed.

"Okay, this not about me though," she rolled her eyes.

"Whatever, Sadé," he chuckled. "Oh, baby while you in there can you get me some draws please?" he grinned innocently.

"Why you always got me buying your damn draws, Alijah," she laughed, knowing she'd do it. He hated shopping for himself, so whenever Kash was out she seemed to be bringing him back something, it never failed.

"You know I'on like shopping," he said. "I'a send you some money for em," he said.

"You don't have to—" she started to say before she heard the soft 'cha-ching' of a cashapp notification. "I could have bought them, Papa," she said.

"Well...consider that early birthday money then," he shrugged.

"You got you a business and you big spending on me, huh? Send me a lil more then," she stuck her tongue out and he laughed, then another notification sounded off in her ear. "Kasiah!"

"What?! You said—"

"I was playing," she whined. "Got me out here looking like a spoiled brat. Aht don't even say nothing, be quiet," she giggled.

"Your girlfriend has arrived!" Kash called, dropping her bags in Siah's living room, after kicking her shoes off at the door. "Why am I not being greeted with affection?" she asked, and heard Siah on his playstation, making her face straighten.

"You are ass! Nigga you're ass!" he yelled into the mic, and she peeped her head in the door, seeing him standing up in front of his tv, catching his attention. "Oh—hey baby," he grinned.

"Hello, sir," she chuckled. "You and this damn game, gimme a kiss before I cause a scene," she folded her arms and he reached out for her, pulling her in front of him, grabbing her face in one hand and kissing her lips repeatedly.

"Fuck up, Adonis," he chuckled. "How was the mall?"

"Good, I got your stuff," she replied, wrapping her arms around his torso, as he held the controller over her head. Luckily for him—she was small.

"Donny pay attention, stupid ass nigga—thank you baby," he quickly looked down and kissed her forehead. She just nodded and let him go, going to see what he had in his fridge. She hadn't eaten all day and was practically starving now.

After a little more yelling, Siah appeared behind her, wrapping his arms around her body and kissing the side of her face.

"You finished already?" she wondered, taking out some noodles, she was far too lazy for anything else.

"Mhm, I wanna lay on you so hurry up," he said seriously.

"I'll try my best, baby. You saw your things over there?" she pointed to the living room.

"What my draws? I'on gotta see em you probably picked nice ones," he chuckled and she shook her head, putting water in the pot.

"All that stuff is yours," she said and his eyes widened. "Go look!"

"Sadé! Ain't you go in there for your birthday outfit or something? How you end up with clothes for me only?" he asked as he walked over to look at the bags. "And a whole bunch of shit too,"

"Because! I was in there buying what you needed and then I saw a sweater I thought would look cute on you! And then a sweater turned into three stores," she cheesed and he couldn't help but smile. "You like it?" she walked over to the couch and sat beside him, watching him go through the bags.

"I love it, baby, thank you," he leaned over to kiss her. "You a real sweetheart, you ain't have to do this for me. Especially right before your birthday, I'm supposed to be doing it," he chuckled.

"So? I wanna buy you stuff," she replied. "I'll buy you something on my birthday,"

"I wish you would. You not spending no money on your birthday, I'll hide all your shit," he said and she laughed.

"Bold of you to assume I don't have apple pay, and that I don't memorize my debit and credit card numbers,

"You're crazy, like for real," he laughed.

"I've been told," she smirked before getting up to check on her food.

The next morning, Kash was woken up by a soft kiss to her face. One of her eyes slowly creaked open to see Kasiah staring her down with a look in his eye.

"I woke you up?" he asked, stroking her cheek and she simply nodded, not wanting to blow her breath in his face. "Sorry, Peanut,"

She shook her head no, telling him not to apologize, simply closing her eyes back, and allowing him to continue whatever he was doing. Waking up to love instead of an iPhone alarm was much more calming—she liked it way better.

"Wanna get some breakfast? I gotta go to the garage later," he asked her after a few more minutes of allowing her to wake up fully, and she nodded with a smile, never one to turn down a meal. "Aight, gon head and get ready, I gotta get my clothes from the machine," he said and she nodded once more, getting out of his bed and stretching.

Once in the bathroom, which was connected to the laundry area, she brushed her teeth and began undressing so she could get into the shower.

"Mm mm," she heard, as she stepped a foot into the hot water, and she turned her head to see Siah staring with his lip between his teeth. "Fine ass," he mumbled.

"Stop!" she giggled, hopping all the way in, and she heard him laughing.

After her shower, she moisturized and picked out some clothes to wear. As she got dressed her phone rang and she saw her mother FaceTimimg her, instantly getting excited because she could possibly be seeing baby Skai.

"Hello—aw my little pooh! Hi stinky girl!" she cooed as she saw her sister's face appear in the camera.

"She woke up and chose to be loud, and as soon as she hear the phone ringing she wanna stop. Lil faker," her mom came up next, and Sadé laughed. "Say hi big sister,"

"She knew she was about to talk to me that's why. Ain't that right stinka?" Sadé smirked. "But how are you, mama?

"You look like your peanut headed ass daddy, I'm sick of you," Bianca laughed. "I'm okay, baby. Just tired, now matter how bad I try, I cannot get no sleep when she's sleeping! There's a million things to do,"

"Mommy," Sadé straight faced her.

"I know!"

"Aht! No ma'am, you need rest. Tell Lamarr take my girl out for a lil while—or I can come watch her for a little bit, and you just need to go to sleep," she lectured.

"You sound like your grandmother," Bianca chuckled. "I'll try, mommy. You excited for your birthday?" she wondered as Siah walked back into the room in a towel, and Kash quickly turned the camera angle.

"Yes! Apparently everyone knows about these birthday plans except me. You too?" she raised her eyebrows and Siah chuckled to himself as he started to get ready to leave out.

"Chile no—and even if I did know, I wouldn't tell you," she chuckled. "Let your man surprise you! Lil nosy tail," she shook her head.

"Traitor!" Kash gasped.

"Thank you ma! She so nosy," Siah co-signed, shaking his head.

"Y'all both annoying," she giggled.

"Look at my baby in his office," Kash gassed as he read over some paperwork. Kash didn't mind coming to the garage with him, she just wanted to be with him and bother him all day, if she was being honest.

"Girl sit down somewhere," Siah laughed. The boys had decided that they'd share the workload of course, but Siah handled more of the logistics than Khyren—he had a short attention span and could very easily loose focus, meanwhile Siah could easily hunker down and handle activities like this till they were done.

"Gladly," she sassed back, walking around his desk and taking a seat on his left leg.

"You brat," he chuckled. "You need my attention all day huh?"

"Yes, or I'll die, you know that," she said seriously, face not even budging when he cracked a big smile. He just pressed a kiss to her lips and continued what he was doing.

She got on her phone and saw she had a notification from Facebook, of her dad posting her baby pictures.

'My babygirl is turning 22 soon. Take me back to my little mama and her afro puffs!'

She smiled a little, reading the comments from her family members, recalling when she was that small, and stating that time was going by way too fast. She commented back 'love you daddy 🥰❤️'  and liked all the comments.

"That's you? Look at your cheeks," Siah laughed. "You was cute as hell, I hope if we have a lil girl she look just like that," he said, making her heart warm.

They didn't often talk about their future, maybe a few times, but every single time they did, it never failed to bring a smile to her face. Just thinking about Kasiah as a father—a husband was enough to get her giddy and giggling for a while.

"You sure? Look at them eyes," she pointed. "You can't say no to those eyes, baby," she teased.

"And I wouldn't. How Ima say no to my baby if I can't say no to her damn mama?" he chuckled.

"You know...that's a good point," she replied with a laugh. "Poor daddy,"

"Your dad seems to be doing just fine having two spoiled women in his house. I think I'll be aight," he replied. "Unless she a lil brat, then Ima square up wit' shorty,"

"Sq—with a child?!" she laughed loudly.

"Uh...yeah. Why the hell not? She can work my damn nerves but we can't fight? She better learn how to work them hands," he spoke, and although she knew he was joking, the serious look on his face made what he was saying ten times funnier to her.

"You are hell, Kasiah," she shook her head. "Gon' finish your work I want a nap,"

"Ima square up wit' yo' bossy ass next, keep telling me what to do," he straight faced her.

"Whatever! You gon do it anyway, allat shit you talk and you cannot beat my ass,"

"Yeah aight, I could push yo' ass off a curb and you'd fall 3 feet stop playin' wit' me, Sadé," he chuckled.

"This why I don't like yo' ass. Annoying," she fought a smile and swallowed down her laugh so he wouldn't think he won, and he just shook his head, going back to what he was doing while she wasted time on her phone.

"Put the dress on, Sadé. We have places to be," he chuckled as she marveled. Today was Friday of the next week, and Sadé's birthday was on Sunday, but according to Siah, it started today. He bought her a dress and shoes, he even went and bought accessories for the dress—with Aryn's help of course.

"This is so pretty, though! Not my man having good taste," she spoke, more so to herself. "Okay, I'm getting dressed," she cheesed and started to do just that. She mostly liked it because she didn't think she'd ever pick something like this for herself.

"Aight na', don't hurt em, baby," he chuckled, walking back in the room as she brushed through her straight hair. "You look beautiful," he smiled.

"Aw, thank you! You did such a good job," she stood up and did a spin. "Fits perfect," she grinned.
