Chapter 32

It finally arrived. The fourth day of the competition. I didn't know if I should be glad or not. My nervous system was in a mess, I wasn't sure if we would succeed or totally fail.

"Clarissa why can't I bomb this place?" Jarvis whined and I rolled my eyes.

"It will hurt our guests and we'll get banned from the competition."

"I don't think so, it'll be really exciting and they'll be thanking me afterwards."

" For what? Giving them pain?"

"Pain is what reminds you that you're alive and you shouldn't take that for granted."

My mouth dropped open. That was wise from him and Jarvis and wise didn't go together.

"Nice concept, but we'll still lose. Let's go Jarvis. Don't forget to do your performance well."

"Fine, but I won't promise that there'll be no accidents."

I glared at him and he laughed like a maniac again. I swear, he makes me so crazy.

Out of all of my teammates he was the hardest one to deal with. The guy clearly had no morals in his life. He loves danger which therefore made him very dangerous. He makes me worry a lot.

I entered our room which was now filled with guests wearing different kinds of costumes. Who said we can't have a costume party?

Right before we sent the letters, the idea of the guests wearing costumes of disney characters came to mind when Ellaria argued with Jarvis who was laughing like a lunatic, that she wasn't going to wear a superwoman costume for their performance. I immediately told Levi to put that the guests must wear a costume of their favourite disney character in the invitations.

I wore a brown sleeveless dress with a bag of arrows slung on my back. Mulan had always been my favourite disney character.

I welcomed some of the guests and told them to feel comfortable and showed them where the food and beverages are. Levi and Vince were busy bossing around the servants and I saw Livana tasting the chocolate fountain. Princess Ellaria was beside the mountain of cookies. She was trying to be discreet into taking one but Livana slapped her hand away. We made her promise not to eat any sweets until after she performed. I know, we're evil.

The twins on the other hand were busy attending to some of the big shots in the room. Mostly the judges. Yep, I gave them that job because I wanted them to have a clean reputation. They probably weren't believing how they've become such noble gentlemen.

So far it looked like everybody was having a good time. After a couple more minutes, I decided it was time.

I cued the lights person, who nodded his head in reply before dimming the lights.
I went on the stage and a spotlight shone on me.

"Good evening everyone. I hope everyone's having a good time. I want to thank you all for coming and for following the instructions in the invitation. You all look so wonderful and fabulous. In our gratitude we would like to present a small presentation. Ladies and gentlemen please welcome the lady who sings like an angel from heaven and hell. Let's give a round of applause for Princess Vanessa."

Nessa descended and began singing "All of me" like a pro. I invited her to sing at the last minute. At first she was hesitant but had agreed in the end.

Everyone clapped after her beautiful performance and she bowed her head dowñ. Though, out of a sudden, the lights turned off, making the spectators gasp.

At the far end you'd see Jarvis twirling fire around with his sticks. He cartwheeled and backflipped earning cheers from the crowd.

"Ladies and gentlemen please watch the prince of fire: Prince Jarvis."

Princess Ellaria appeared next, skipping before landing on her splits. Jarvis did a double backflip above her just as the second before she stood up.

"And the best acrobat in this academy: Princess Ellaria."

Claps boomed in the room while Jarvis and Ellaria danced, jumped and did amazing stunts.

In the end, both were looking exhausted as they bowed down. The crowd cheered again and I smiled. They did really well, those two.

"Thank you for watching and please enjoy the dance and the food to your heart's content."

They all clapped one more time and I ushered the musicians to play their classical instruments. Yup, we hired a whole orchestra from the school which are all heirs and heiresses by the way. They were very happy to perform.

Not much happened for the rest of the night except Jarvis began a riot in the middle of the dance floor by breakdancing.

Before the whole party turned into a street dance party for hippies I pulled him out of there.

"What were you doing Jarvis?" I demanded as I crossed my arms and tapped the floor impatiently. We were at the backstage and I could do whatever I want here without fearing the judges would see me punch Jarvis right at his face.

"Me having fuuuun," he slurred and began swaying sideways.

Before he stumbled down I caught him and caught a whiff of alcohol.

"Have you been drinking Jarvis? Since when?"

"Before dinner," he said and flashed me a goofy smile.

Fuck, then he was drunk when he performed.

This guy really needs someone to look after him.

He suddenly took my hands and pulled me to him. "Let's dance my queen."

"Oh no." I rolled my eyes but let him put his arms on my waist anyway.

"This is so fuuun!" Jarvis shouted and I smacked his arm. We danced sloppily for awhile until the idiot fell on me and began to snore.

I sighed and put him onto the couch. He's such a handful.

By the time I went to the main room, everyone was already assembled to their seats as a judge went up to the stage. It was Hitler guy.

"When Thomas said that we expect a formal and decent party, we didn't think it would be this bongacious. You guys, who hosted this party have clearly thought this through and kept everyone entertained until the end. For this, I would like to congratulate you for winning this challenge. You deserve it."

I almost screamed. Prince Keith was beside me and he hauled me into a big and tight hug, I couldn't breathe. The rest of us hugged each other to congratulate ourselves while the crowd applauded. I even hugged the bull.

"The last challenge will be announced next week at the main hall. You have to be there by Saturday morning and if you're late, consider yourself cut off. So don't be late. Thank you for the nice evening. It was exceptional and almost magical." He smiled and he looked almost normal then.

"This is mothefucking, so fucking great!"

"Damn right," Vince said as he high-fived Prince Levi.

"You've said it." Prince Levi smiled widely as he fixed the angle of his glasses.

"We did awesome bro," Prince Keith said as he smirked at his brother.

"Obviously not," he replied with sarcasm but he was smiling as well.

"Thank you guys. We really knocked the head off," I said enthusiastically.

"NUh-uh," Princess Ellaria expressed as she shook her head. She went up to me and laid up her palm to my face. "Where's my cookie?"

Damn cookie. I hope there's still more.

I hope you guys liked this chapter even if it didn't have any Garissa moment(is that an okay name for them?). Anyway just wanna say thanks again for being awesome and I hope you keep being awesome. ;)

I'll see you guys soon! ;)

Love ya!
