1 day later

Me and Ariana Just got back to the house, we spent the night at the hospital because the doctors wanted to keep an eye on Ariana and see if she's okay

But to be honest with you, she seems so out of it lately, don't get me wrong, She just gave birth, so i have to be conscious about that...

But she didn't seem like she was in the moment, trust me i've seen it...

She just looked she wasn't "there", i helped her a little, her mom also helped her...

I just parked the car in the garage and looked at Ariana , who took a nap while driving here...

"Baby" i whispered..

She woke up...

"We're here, come on, let's go inside the house" i said to her

She got out of the car and went to the backseat to take out the twins while i took out their bags...

We got inside the house...

"Let me put the twins to their bed" she said..

"Want to bring the bag with you?" I said to her...

"Nah it's fine" she said while going up the stairs..

"Are you sure?" I asked to her...

"I SAID IT'S FINE ODELL!!" she exclaimed and then we heard the twins cry...

Ari looked like she was about to cry, i quickly ran up to her...

"Let me just put the twins in the bed" i said to her, "just go to the room"

And with that she gave me the twins and she walked to the room...

I went to the nursery and tried to calm them down which they eventually did...

I took out their bottle of milk and fed them..

"Man, i think I need to call the only person that knows this shit more then me" i said

I'm really worried about what's going on with Ari mentally...

I took out my phone and dialed the number

"Hey Mom" i said, "i think you should come here, we need help"

"Look at my grand babies, they are so precious" my mom said while holding them, "so you said you guys need help"

"Well not me, your daughter in law" i said to her...

"What's wrong?" she asked me, "you guys made cute babies, you know that"

I chuckled,

"I know" i said, "she's not herself lately, i mean, she hasn't been in the moment"

My mom put the babies in their crib and just looked at me as if she knew what i was talking about...

"So it's started huh" she said then she sat down...

Started?!? What started

"What started?" I asked her

She pat down on the arm chair signalling me to sit down next to her

"She's experiencing post partum depression" my mom spoke up, "i had it when i had you, i had it when i had jazz"

Post Partum?!? I know i'm gonna sound insensitive, what is it?

I just want my mom to just educate me so i can understand what's going on with my girl...

"Okay what is it?, i just want to help Ariana" i said, "can you just teach me"

The last time, i asked my mom for help, i was kid and i was asking for help for homework, so that should tell you, i don't ask for help that much...

"Awww look at you, asking me to teach you and help" she said, "well Odell, Post Parturm is like depression but occurs after childbirth, you experience like the baby blues, mood swings and crying spells"

I just took in what she said, woah

"Ariana is in a funk" she said, "basically"

I just felt helpless when she said...

"So what can i do to help her?" I asked her

"I can give you a whole list on what should you do but the most important thing, you should do is, Just be there for her, reassure that even tho she feels like she isn't doing her best, just tell her that she is" my mom said, "and tell her that you love her even tho she might think you don't believe it, just say it"

Woah...

I'm thankful for my mom right now...

"Thanks Ma" i said to her, "i'll call you whenever i need help"

"I mean if it involves my grandkids then, i'll drop everything for them but anything else, you can do that by yourself" she said

She hit me playfully...

Man, this talk was needed.... Now to check on Ariana

I just put the twins to sleep and i'm in the bedroom, laying on the bed next to Ariana, who's been sleeping but now she's awake bumping breast milk for tomorrow

"You beautiful" i said

She just looked at me as if i was joking...

"You beautiful, you know that" i said...

Eventually she stopped pumping breast milk, she put the bottle on the side table

"Thank you" she said...

I rose up and pulled in Ariana....

"Listen, i'm here if you need anything, i told my couch that i'm taking a break for a while until you okay" i said, "you and the twins are my priorities right now and i'll do anything for you okay"

"Okay" she said, "you actually taking a break"

I nodded...

Before my mom came to the house, i called my couch about Ariana and asked if i could take a break and he agreed that i should take a break because i've been killing it on the field...

I mean my contract is about to end and i still haven't told Ariana about that...

Because i'm not sure myself if i want to renew my contract or look for another for team...

"Oh wow Odell" she said...

"I told you, i got you and the twins" i said, "i love you, you know that"

She gave me a peck...

"I love you too" she said, "God, really brought you into my life"

He did and i gotta thank him for that
