I took a deep breath as I walked towards the Art's Club booth. I looked at the brochure and then he turned around, facing me.

"Hey, Charlotte! How have you been?" Damien said as he hugged me. Yes, he insisted on calling me by my real name. Which I totally hate. Made me sound like a milkmaid in rennaissance England. But, anything for Damien.

Okay, so I have this huge crush on Damien. He's an artist. He is drop dead gorgeous with a brooding face and greyish blue eyes. His dark hair was a little longgish for my taste but it suited him just fine. He's got the tortured artist look down pat. He was lean and tall. He is fucking fine, in my opinion.

"I'm great. Just got back today. What about you?" I asked as I smiled.

"I got in this morning. Gotta do the booth thing first. Hey, are you joining this year? It'd be fun. This year we're concentrating on sculptures and portraits of human forms." Damien said enthusiastically in that lazy, deep drawl of his.

"Yep, of course. I'm doing it now. That's why I'm here." I said with a giggle. Urgh, stop it! Stop giggling! I don't sound cute when I giggle.

"Spectacular! Here, let me register you. You got your student card?" Damien asked and I handed him my student card. He wrote my name in a huge book. I stared at him as he wrote my name and student number.

We talked for a bit after that. He was telling me about an art road show that he saw in Amsterdam. I was nodding my head and imagining him naked. I found his enthusiasm about art a huge turn on. He would probably look hot naked. Even fully clothed he does things to me. I couldn't imagine seeing him naked. I'd probably die! Oh stop it, you horny bitch! Focus..focus... He's asking me a question...

"So, you wanna come?" Damien asked as he smiled at me. I blinked my eyes rapidly. Shit, what did he ask me?!

"Um, sure! Just give me the details." I said, pretending to know what the hell he was talking about. There's no way I would tell him I wasn't paying attention because I was so focused about biting those plump lips softly. He would think I was insane.

"Oh, yeah, here! I've got a flyer. Bring anyone you know. We need more asses in the seats." Damien said as he handed me a flyer.

I looked at it and frowned. What the hell is this?

BLOOD....MY BLOOD...The History..

I scruitnized the flyer and wrinkled my nose. The flyer was black with spatterings of blood (or colour, I hope) Eeeww..I'm very squeamish. Especially with blood.

"So, I'll see you there alright. Ok, I gotta get back to work. See you later?" Damien said as he started to talk to other curious students.

I walked away and suddenly somebody came from behind and snatched the flyer from my hand. I turned around and saw Caleb reading and grimacing at the creepy flyer.

"Hey, give it back!" I tried grabbing the flyer from Caleb. He casually slung his arm over my shoulder as he read the flyer aloud. He walked and dragged me with him.

"Blood, my blood, my history... interesting... Weird and creepy as fuck. Hey, let's go to this thing together!" Caleb said as he turned to look at my face and smiled.

I rolled my eyes and looked at him. Whoah, gorgeous boy up close.  Damn Caleb is fine. But he's my best friend's younger brother. He's even played naked in my paddling pool when he was 6 years old. So incestuous. Huge ewww factor.

"So, what are you doing here? You're all settled?" I asked as we walked towards the other booths. Caleb still had his arm around my shoulders.

"Yeah, met my roommate and my swim coach. They got really great pool facilities here. And the coach's a great guy. I think I'm gonna like it here. And with a bonus, you're here. What's not to like?" Caleb said casually and squeezed my shoulder.

Caleb is such a sweetheart. He's always been close to me ever since I beat up bullies who bothered him in school. Being 2 years older and a foot taller then, I could easily pound any kid who bothered him. And I used to clean his wounds and hid his bruises from Dara and his grandma. Dara knew about the bullying, but she never knew Caleb got hurt from it. But when Caleb became a swimming star and didn't spend as much time at school, kids started to leave him alone. Before long, he became popular and everybody loved him. I was so proud of him, like I would if he was really my little brother.

I somehow felt that having him aroubd on campus might not be so bad after all. At least he's a friendly face. And nothing beats seeing a friendly face light up when you're around.  And Calwb is plenty friendly for me.

We stopped at another booth. While Caleb and I were looking at the brochures, I felt like I was being watched. Or rather, Caleb was. Lots of girls were looking at him. They were whispering excitedly. What is going on here? I wondered.

"Oh my God, he is so gorgeous!" I heard a few girls said excitedly.

"Who's that fat girl with him? Is she his girlfriend?! Eeewww...I hope not!"

"Nah, why would he be with a fatty like her? I mean, look at him. It's probably his sister or something..."

I tried to drown the murmurs of the girls. Caleb seemed oblivious. In just a white t-shirt and skinny jeans, his dirty blonde hair tousled, he looked like a Calvin Klein model. Like seriously. I felt like such a heifer standing beside him. I sighed.
