The news of Caleb's very public proposal became headlines all over the world. Pictures of us having our PDA moment were plastered all over the newspapers everywhere and on the Internet. I was totally mortified when I saw the photos of us making out at the arena and cringed at my red, tear-streaked face. Caleb, of course looked crazy gorgeous all flushed and toussled.

Everybody who knew us called me non-stop to congratulate us. My family was over the moon, mum even cried. She called right after Caleb's proposal was shown in the Olympic highlights in the US. I waited, with bated breath for everything to turn to shit. All it takes is one negative comment to turn everything around. So, I waited and waited....but none came. In fact, Caleb told me that there were so many requests for interviews and photoshoots of us as an engaged couple. We appeared on a few high rated talk shows and even on the talk show where he revealed my name as his girlfriend. The host even went up to hug me. She was so happy for us.

"Oh my, Caleb, Charlie, congratulations! I am so happy for you both! You are such a cute couple, I just want to eat you up! And the whole world agrees. Look at all these tweets...they're all wishing you well. I do hope you guys stay happy forever!" The host gushed happily. I blushed happily at her. She was really nice and sincere. Even off camera she was very motherly and said I helped her show get syndicated when Caleb mentioned my name in his interview, so she said she was forever indebted to me.

My one big worry was Natasha Warren. But being the ever-classy and graceful movie star, she was blase and casually charming about reporters asking for her opinion.

"I am so happy for Caleb. We're very good friends and I wouldn't wish for anything but happiness for him and his fiancee." She said graciously and smiled that gorgeous smile that was her trademark and made her resemblance to Grace Kelly almost uncanny.

The offers to plan our wedding from high-profile wedding planners were countless. They offered luxurious, expensive locations favoured by celebrities. But I shook my head no. Both Caleb and I opted for a small intimate wedding with our family and close friends in my parents huge backyard. Dara appointed herself as the maid of honour, which I wouldn't have any other way. Alex was Caleb's best man. Although I did go all out for the perfect dress. That was the one thing I did not compromise on. The most prolific wedding dress designer called me and offered to custom-make my dress for me. In addition, she asked if I would model some other dresses that she made for curvy brides. I agreed as it would be so cool to try as many dresses as possible.

Our wedding was beautiful. The spring weather was very pleasant and everybody who came gushed at how sweet we were with each other. It was the best day of my life.

We had a little bit of a comical moment when after we have said our vows, Caleb kept asking if he could kiss me now. The priest was thankfully in a good mood. After three times of Caleb leaning in and then was stopped by the priest, he ginally threw up his hands and said.

"Yes, yes! Go on, you may kiss the bride!"The priest said in defeat and everybody laughed. I was so embarrassed. Caleb just laughed and gave me the sweetest, most tender kiss that melted every heart of the guests who came that day. I saw mum and Dara crying. Heck, most women were dreamy-eyed and tearful at our wedding.

When we had our first dance at the reception, Caleb looked at me really weird. I wrinkled my brow.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Do I have cake frosting on my face?" I asked asI looked at his face.

"Nah,you look breathtaking Charlie. I just find it ironic is all." Caleb said crytically. Huh?

"What do you mean, ironic?" I asked curiously as other xouples started to join us at the dance floor.

"Well, I remember getting into swimming when I knew I would be away a lot since staying in school would mean more bullying and suffering from having a crush on you.  But, it's swimming that got me closer to you. It's swimming that led me to study in the same college as you. And swimming kinda made you come to all my meets and made you fall in love with me, hehe..I guess it doesn't sound like much, but it does to me." Caleb said with a sheepish smile. I chuckled.

"Urgh, I thought you were annoying. You're so cute and sweet as a kid that it was weird that you got so cocky as an adult. Well, probably coz you know you're gorgeous as stuff. I'm still curious why you're with me. But I guess it doesn't matter. You're not getting rid of me that easily." I said and Caleb suddenly kissed me softly.

"That sounds so good, baby. I would like to apologize to you before hand. I will annoy the crap out of you, all your life, whether you like it or not." Caleb said softly, against my lips. Then he pulled me close, his face in my hair.

"Believe me,I wouldn't have it any other way." I whispered in his ear as Caleb's arms tightened around me.

So, we went on our honeymoon to Spain for a week. It was really great. And after that, Caleb settled down with me in New York. He swims competitively still for international titles, but he's only away for a short period of time. Ans now he even models. His face was plastered in every magazine known to man. But the one thing that kinda bothered me was the huge, I mean HUGE billboard of Caleb in Armani jockeys right smack in the middle of Times Square. Like, girls could stare at his..um.. assets..and bits all day long... But it was a huge exhorbitantly paid campaign, so I agreed to let it be. It's kinda flattering to have a guy as beautiful as that be mine. All in all, life had turned out pretty nice. I'm so lucky to be have Caleb. So lucky to be me.
