Since I'm such a cool person, I'm updating as soon as I can. Wouldn't want anybody to die, right?? Heh...anyway, enjoy this chapter my babies...

Caleb's POV

Yep, she's up there. I could feel it in my gut. Knowing that she would be watching one of the flat screens in the VIP lounge, I winked at the cameras. And I smiled. God, I hope she's up there. Or else I'd just look like conceited tool...urgh,we don't want that.

With the knowledge that Charlie might be up there watching me, I felt a renewed energy and a fresh feeling of eagerness. I could win this. And the Olympics. As long as I know Charlie is watching. I got ready at my lane and shook off my jacket. I stretched a bit and focused on winning. I bent to put my jacket into my gym bag and to kiss my good luck charm, Charlie's band t-shirt. Hopefully I get to kiss Charlie soon instead of just her old t-shirt. When all swimmers were called to get ready, I walked purposefully to my mark and got ready.

Charlie's POV

I stared at Caleb in his trunks. It's been a while. Seeing him in the flesh triggered some memories we had. I remembered having those arms securely around me, those lips kissing me all over and that chest cradling my head every night...Suddenly I felt this overwhelming urge to just jump from the VIP lounge to get to Caleb. Good god, I am losing my mind. Ignoring other people around me, I watched Caleb intently. Especially when he bent down to kiss something yellow. My breath hitched. My t-shirt. He still has it.

Just then, the announcer had the swimmers to get ready at their marks. I held my breath as I waited for the swimmers to start. And then the starting gun went off and all swimmers dove gracefully into the clear blue water. Everybody was cheering for the swimmers. I was trying very hard not to scream Caleb's name. But he was doing real good. He was so fast.

Pretty soon, he was winning almost half of all 16 the male events. I was on my feet the whole time, cheering for him. Julie was jumping up and down beside me, cheering her head off.

When it was over, Julie and I got ready to leave. We had a nice time meeting people at the VIP lounge. And Julie got autographs from Sam and Liam. She was positively glowing with happiness.

As we were about to descent the stairs, one of the suits asked me to wait for a while. Julie and I kinda frowned but what the heck, we could probably wait for a bit, so we just shrugged. One of the guards escorted us to a smaller room. We went in and he left the door slightly ajar. Julie looked around the luxurious yet cozy room. We sat on the overstuffed sofa and waited. I had a bad feeling. Somehow, I knew Caleb is a part of this. Julie was fidgeting beside me.

"Why do you think we're told to wait here? I wonder who we're meeting. This is so exciting!" Julie said excitedly.

I kept quiet. I knew it's Caleb. I mean, he's here, so it must be his doing. My heart was beating so fast. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. My head whipped towards the direction of the door, fearing who I might see there. But a guy wearing a sports jacket walked in with a business-like smile. Both Julie and I looked at the guy expectantly.

"Good evening ladies. I apologise for making you wait. I'm Brendan Hughes, representative of the Olympic Athletes Association. I'm here to invite you and your top management to our dinner the day after tomorrow. Here're the invitation cards. I hope you can make it." Brendan said with a smile. I looked at the bundle of invitations and felt somehow deflated. I was so bothered and nervous about meeting Caleb that when he didn't even come to at least say hello, I felt thoroughly disappointed. Julie gasped and thanked Brendan. Then, he left the room.

"Oh wow! A dinner with all the Olympic swimmers! Homaigahd! This is so exciting!" Julie squealed as she jumped excitedly, holding the bundle of invitation cards in her hands.  I looked at the red-faced Julie and faked a smile. I looked at the time. It was almost 10.

"Hey, Julie, we better get going. Have you called Nate?" I asked, refering to Julie's husband. She nodded and we both went out of the room.

When we reached the exit, Nate was already waiting in his car. We got in his car and went home.

When they dropped me off, I kinda dragged my feet into my apartment building. I opened the door to my apartment and went into my room. I threw myself onto my bed and groaned. I couldn't understand what was wrong with me. I mean, I didn't want Caleb to know I was here in Sydney. Yet, I felt so hugely disappointed when he didn't even meet me. Well, maybe he didn't know I was here. Maybe me being invited to the tournament was just a councidence. Maybe.

If I didn't want to see Caleb, why do I feel so disappointed? So disappointed that I felt like crying...darn this stupid heart..

Caleb's POV

"Are you sure, mate? I could take you to see her. I mean, she's just there." Brendan said with a shrug.  I shook my head, no. Brendan sighed.

"If you say so. I'll just go give these to her." Brendan said and then he walked off to give Charlie the invitation cards.

When Brendan was gone, I put on my jacket and beanie. I grabbed my bag and walked out. I glanced upwards towards the VIP room, knowing that Charlie's in there and using all my strength to stop myself from running up those stairs and grabbing her into my arms. I took a deep breath and walked out resolutely. The car was waiting and the driver was already at the wheel. Tom, my agent was sitting in the car waiting for me. I sighed as I went into the car and shut the door. I lay my head on the headrest and sighed.

"Come on, man. You know it's for the best. You can't rush these things. You might drive her away. Just relax and take it one step at a time. No use scaring her away when you've gotten this far." Tom said as he typed messages on his phone.  I had to agree. But I missed her too much. Seeing her walk up to the VIP lounge before the race started was like a breath of fresh air. She looked so beautiful. It took all of me to keep from running up to her and kissing her senseless. She was so sexy and gorgeous that I lost my head for a second.

So, I just have to be patient. Only 2 days. I just had to wait 2 days before the dinner. Oh God, 2 days seemed like an eternity, I groaned.

Charlie's POV

At work, I couldn't concentrate. I felt so restless. Knowing that Caleb's in the same city as me just made me feel like I want to run to him. I know I was the one who left him, but that doesn't mean I missed him any less. It was lucky that I didn't know where he was staying. I wonder what he's doing right now. Without thinking, I typed Caleb's name on Google.

There were many news about him being in Sydney and was attending a press junkett at that precise moment. I sighed. I gazed at his pictures, feeling the ache in the pit of my stomach. I missed him so much...

I tugged at my nude shift as I looked around the huge entrance to the hotel. Julie was beside me, looking totally gorgeous in a powder blue strapless dress. We stepped into the lobby, clutching our invitations.

The entrance to the ballroom was heavily guarded. Nervously, Julie and I walked to the entrance and showed our invitation to the young guard. He scanned our cards and then looked up with a smile.

"Miss James and Miss Bennet, please come in. Your table are towards the front, near the stage. Landon here will take you to your table." The guard said with a sweet smile. Another guard took us to our table. Julie squealed beside me under her breath as we walked to our table. My eyes scanned the ballroom, silently praying that Caleb would be around.

Our table was beside the athletes' table! My heart beat so fast as I glanced at the still empty table. I really wanted Caleb to sit at that table, but part of me was still very scared to face him. The other guests at my table looked like rich politicians. Just then, the MC welcomed us. After his welcoming speech, he welcomed the athletes one by one. I waited nervously for Caleb to appear. Just then, his name was announced and he sauntered out in a sharp tux amidst applause from the other guests. He was smiling and sat right across from me at the table beside mine. I felt like I wanted to faint. I was openly staring at him, drinking him...he looked so hot in that tux..shoot!

Suddenly, his eyes met mine. I stared at him like a deer caught in the headlights. There was no expression on his face. I tried but I couldn't look away. He continued staring at me. I felt all hot suddenly...what the hell is up with me??
