Jake's POV

"Soph, stop over thinking things. It's putting stress on you and the baby and it's not good." I say to a very pregnant Sophia next to me. We are in the screen room watching a movie. The conjuring to be exact, which Soph isn't even focusing on. She always gets this look on her face which tells me she's actually overthinking the whole motherhood laying ahead in our lives.

"What if I'm not a good mother to the baby?"she asked tears forming in her eyes. Seeing her cry always made my heart clench. Now don't get me wrong I loved my previous mate and the feelings I had from being with her would never be the same if the she-wolf isn't my mate, but with all the time that i spent with Sophia, I've started falling in love with her. I looked at her " Sophia where is this all coming from?" I scold her with a worried look. " I don't know" she said looking down at her lap, her thumbs twiddling .

"Soph you are going to be one amazing mother to this baby" I say kissing the side of her head. She moved to stand up, struggling a little in the process, as she is up I see a puddle form at her feet. Oh fuck no! Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see the baby, but I'm also not ready for him/her. Soph looks at me with excitement, and yet she's still calm," Jake " she said and took a deep breath " This baby is coming right now, we need to get to the pack hospital", calmness laced in her voice. How she can be this calm I really have no clue, I'm freaking out over here!!! I got up, went up stairs to get the baby bag and Soph's hospital bag, she packed them both a couple of weeks ago. I placed them both in the back of my car and got Soph safely in the car and sped off to the pack hospital.

Right as we got there I jumped out, got Soph out carefully and rushed as quickly as we could into the hospital. A couple of nurse's came to help us, one coming along with a wheelchair for Sophia. They wheeled her into a room and gave her a hospital gown and then got her a little comfortable on the bed.

After a while, and after a whole lot of contractions later the doctor came back into the room. "So Soph, you're halfway dilated." the doctor said and then left again. I can see that she is really going through a lot of pain. I really want to just do something to take her pain away, but I know it's only her mate that can do that.

My phone rang and Shyla's name popped up on the screen. Jeez she's been up my ass for the past couple of hours. I picked up and she already talked to me as is I was going to hurt Sophia. I would never, not after she got rejected.

(J= Jake S=Shyla, duh captain obvious, lol)

J" Hi Shyla, how are you?"

S" Oh you know a little stressed but good I just landed and on my way to the hospital"

J" Oh yeah don't worry I'm good too Shy, but that's good, she really needs you here"

S" Is she ok? I really am worried about her"

J" Yes Shyla, she's fine"

S"Has she been dilated , and how far?"

J" Yes, she's only five centimeters dilated"

S"You better be there for her, I'm warning you Jake"

J"Of course I'm here for her Shy."

S"Seriously Jake ,I'm not joking. But anyway see you soon cous"

J"Yes Shyla I understand, See you soon. Bye "

After I put my phone away Soph looked at me as I walked closer to her and took her hand in mine. Just as I did that she whimpered as another contraction hit her and she squeezed my hand. She started breathing in and out slowly for a couple of minutes as it subsided.

"What did Shyla say?" she asked with a little tears in her eyes. "She wanted to know if you were ok, and if I was here to support you.And that her flight landed, she'll be here before baby comes." I said with a small smile wiping her tears. Her doctor came into the room, I think his name is Dr.Paisley. He was my mate's doctor.

"Sophia do you want to try something to speed up this labor?" he asked looking at the both of us. Soph quickly nodded and Dr.Paisley continued speaking"You can try walking around, it helped other women, so maybe you can try that" he suggested and was out of the room again.

We walked down the hallway stopping every few seconds for Sophia to do a bit of breathing, then continued. After passing a few rooms we headed back because Sophia became more and more uncomfortable as the contractions became more. As we stepped foot in the room I saw Shyla pull Sophia into a tight hug. When she pulled away a bit from the hug, Soph realized who it was and she burst into tears. Shyla hugged her and comforted her. They shared a little conversation while Soph got comfy on the bed again.

After the birth

I saw a nurse coming out of Sophia's with a baby in a blue blanket, so I'm guessing it's a boy.  I took a quick glimpse at him and he looks just like Blake. The door opens again and out comes a second nurse with another baby, wait twins? It can't be, the sonars showed only one baby. Well the world is full of surprises. When the nurse brought the baby boy back I stayed outside until the next baby came back and I realized it was a girl, i followed the nurse into the room hot on her tail. I saw Shyla holding the baby boy in her arms, sitting in the chair next to Sophia's bed.

"I'm so proud of you Soph, they are so beautiful. What did you name them?" I stood next to er looking at her baby girl, she was gorgeous. " Nova Hunter Collins" she said looking at Nova in Shyla's arms "And Nevaeh Isla Collins" she said looking at her goreous baby girl, kissing her on the head.

After a few minutes a nurse came back into the room and excused Shyla and I, so that she could show Sophia to breastfeed the babies and help her with the rest of the things she needed to know. Which wasn't much because everyday Soph came back home from the orphanage and told me all the new things she learnt that day with the new babies in the orphanage.

When she was done she came out and left us be. We went into the room and held both the babies while Sophia drifted off to sleep. After a few hours Sophia was still asleep, the nurses came back and took the babies to the nursery where all the newborns were held.

A few more hours later and Alpha Blake came into the room. Sophia was still asleep, the doctors said she sould get as much sleep as she could now, the babies have been fed, because Sophia pumped milk into bottles for them, she didn't believe in formula for babies if you could produce milk. He looked at Soph walking to her side holding her hand " What happened to her?!" he demanded.

"Alpha what are you doing here?" Shyla asked with respect but still stunned that he is here. Blake looked at her and suddenly back to Soph. She opened her eyes slowly and froze when she saw Blake, he kissed her forehead " Hi Soph" he said with a smile. I wanted to grip him by the back of his neck and throw him out of the room but I know I couldn't, for one  he's an Alpha, he could easily kill me, and two he is Sophia's mate and I can't step in the middle of them. It's just law.

She looked around the room frantically and began to freak" Where are they? Where the hell are they?" she asked her eyes tearing up. Shyla and I got up quietly and stepped out of the room. I let a nurse know that she should take the babies back into the room for Shop to calm down. I am a little broken because if Blake is here I knew that Soph would give him another chance and I would be alone again.

Walking into the waiting room a sweet scent caught my nose. My wolf started to freak out, he only did that the first time with my mate, does this mean what I think it does? I looked up and there she stood, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen since my first mate. "Mine " we both said at the same time and walked closer and hugged each other. We pulled away after a while and I looked deep into her big brown eyes. "What is your name beautiful?" I asked stroking her right cheek. She blushed and leaned into my touch " My name's Blaire and yours handsome?" she said with the cutest little smile showing her dimples. " I'm  Jake. Wanna go down to the cafeteria to grab something and get to know each other?" I asked hoping she'd say yes. As I hoped she said yes. We spent the next few hours together knowing each other, and I already love her. She is from Blake's pack and I have decided that I was going to go there with her, and stay there. I didn't wanna take her from her family, which I learnt that she was very very close to.

We went back to my place and completed the mating process. Like as in from beginning to end, I was never going to let her go. The next few days was amazing, we spent it mostly in bed, until Sophia and Blake came home with the twins. So I'm guessing that she was going to let him be their lives and in hers. I don't mind it now tho, I' happy for her and I was finally whole again, with my second chance mate.

Now my life is going to be on the right route again. Blaire was even fine with Sophia and Blake staying here. She knew the walls were sound proof so the babies won't wake us, and we wont wake them up if we got busy. As far as I saw she loved the twins, she loves children and wants five of her own. I'm just the happiest man at this moment.
