Hello Liam! ^_^

***

Blake's POV:

I didn't believe for one second that Zara wasn't involved. Who else in their psychotic mind would want to blow up my car and most likely kill me and my mate?

I growled lowly, slamming the phone down on the counter top. Sighing to myself, I fixed my flaccid cock back into my pants and buttoned it up before walking over to Liam and falling into the sofa beside him. He made a "hmph" sound as he crawled into my lap and nuzzled my neck.

"Don't stress y-yourself out, Blakey. T-the detectives are going to do their best to catch whoever it was." He coaxed, and then cutely kissed my cheek right after. I wanted to believe him, but now, with apparently no leads, how were they going to do that? They weren't magicians, making people appear out of thin air. Even I knew that the case was most likely going to go cold.

"Let's hope they do." I muttered, knowing that the chances of that happening were slim.

Liam and I were quiet for a few more seconds as I lost myself in my thoughts. What made the situation even worse was the fact that I was seconds away from burying myself back in Liam's wet heat. Fuck, his mouth was a gift from God because my lamb sure knew his way around a cock. Just thinking about what Detective Murray had interrupted was making me hard again. I knew Liam felt it when his face went up in flames as he glanced at me.

"You're insatiable." He mumbled, shifting to make himself comfortable, but only arousing me further.

"Get used to it, baby." I teased before tilting his heated face up and planting my lips on his.

Sighing to myself, I ran my fingers through my hair before getting out of the car and walking up the driveway of the familiar house. It had been a while since I've been here, but seeing the house still gave me the same sense of dread. Knocking on the door before I could psych myself out, I waited for someone to open it. It didn't take long.

"Blake? Why the fuck are you here?"

"Nice to see you too, Zara." I growled lowly. Zara scoffed as she tightened the string of her robe.

"If you're here to blame me for the explosion, you can save your breath. I had nothing to do with it."

"You really expect me to believe that?" I snapped. "I don't give a fuck if you wanted to hurt me, but you almost hurt my mate and landed my best friend in the hospital. You're a psycho bitch and you better confess."

"You don't get to come onto my fucking property and disrespect me like this while rubbing your fucking prey mate in my face. I told you, and those blasted cops, that I had nothing to do with that fucking explosion. But God, I wish I did. You have what's coming to you, Blake!" Zara snapped back before she slammed the door in my face.

I snarled as I punched the wall before storming back over to my dad's car. She was stupid if she thought that I wasn't going to get her confession. No one was going to hurt the people I loved and get away with it.

This wasn't over.

"How are you holding up?" Dimi questioned.

I laughed as I shook my head while looking at him.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" I replied as I leaned back in the hospital chair. Dimi rolled his eyes as he shifted, wincing due to his charred skin. He sighed before shifting a bit slower into a comfortable position.

"I can't wait to go home." He said once he was content with his new position.

"Don't worry. You only have three more days." I told him, smiling cheekily.

"Three more days of torture." He grumbled, making me chuckle. It was silent between us for a few minutes before Dimi sighed loudly. I had been lost in my own head, but turned to look at him once he did it a second time.

"Spill it." I sighed, knowing that I most likely wouldn't like what he was going to say.

"Maddy took your mother to rehab." He said after a few tense seconds. I clenched the armrests of the chair before releasing a breath of air.

"With what money? I know for a fact she isn't working and Dad would never agree to that shit after what Jenna has done." I told him lowly. I was doing my best to keep my claws and canines from growing out. My anger was creating a hot simmer in my chest and I didn't like it one bit. I needed Liam.

                "My money."

"What, Dimitri?!" The armrest snapped in my hand. "Why would you do that?"

"She's my mate, Blake. And she really has faith in your mother."

"Jenna is not my fucking mother. A mother doesn't abandon her family for a human and drugs."

I stood and began pacing. I loved Dimi and Maddy tremendously, but there was nothing more that I wanted to do right now than murder them. They couldn't see it, but there was no valid reason for Jenna to stick around, and she'd be gone with their money in a few days.

"Okay, she's not your mother, but Madeline cares for her and she won't stop no matter how much you want her to. Think about it like this; if Liam practically begged you to make amends with Jenna, would you do it?"

I paused my pacing to look at Dimi. He was watching me coolly as he hugged a pillow. There was a small knowing grin on his face that made me scoff, sigh and roll my eyes all at once before replying.

                "Yes."

"And why is that?" He questioned cheekily, making me glare at him.

"Because I'd do anything to make him happy."

"Exactly. Now you understand why I loaned Maddy the money. In all honesty, it's okay if she doesn't pay me back, as long as she's happy, I'm happy."

Rolling my eyes again, I plopped down into the broken hospital chair.

"Yeah, whatever. Just don't come complaining to me when this bites you guys in the ass."

                "Aww, I love you too."

"You're just in time, Blake. Jerald just finished trimming Liam." I smiled at Angela as she opened the door for me. Hugging her quickly, I chuckled as I heard an excitement filled "baa" echo from the backyard. It wasn't long before a chubby lamb came running through the house and skittered at my feet.

"Hello to you too, love." I chuckled as I picked Liam up. His wool was soft as hell, and I couldn't help it as I nuzzled him. He licked my cheek happily before wiggling so that I could put him back down. Once he was back on his four feet, he scurried back the way he came.

"His lamb is a ball full of energy." Angela giggled.

"I can tell." I replied with another chuckle as I followed behind my mate. He had made his way to the backyard where his father was cleaning up some wool.

"Hey, Mr. Nelson." I greeted Liam's dad, causing the older man to look up from his work.

"Blake, you know you can call me Jer or Jerald, right?"

"Oh, yeah. Sorry about that."

"No problem." He laughed as he continued cleaning. I watched Liam as he ran around and nibbled on the grass before spitting it out in distaste. Feeling my eyes on him, he looked up from the grass and tilted his head sideways at me. I tilted mine in the other direction, making him release, what I hoped to be, a laugh.

He made his way over to me, and I quickly sat down so that he could settle in my lap. Watching as Jerald headed inside to his wife, I gently rubbed Liam's stomach. It didn't take more than ten minutes before he was out cold. A small smile graced my face as I watched my lamb sleep with his mouth wide open.

As I lifted him up to bring him inside, he shifted in his sleep. Instead of a sheep, my mate was now in human form, naked as the day he was born. He wrapped his arms around my neck as he tried to bury himself in my chest. I kissed his forehead as I brought him to his bedroom.

After setting Liam on his bed, I rummaged through his drawers to find a pair of underwear and a shirt. Once I put his clothes on him, I went back downstairs to his parents.

"Liam tells me that he wants to spend his birthday weekend at your apartment. What are your intentions?" Jerald asked with a raised eyebrow as I sat on the kitchen's stool. Color instantly filled my cheeks as I avoided eye contact with my mate's father.

"Did he really?"I questioned. My voice came out at a higher pitch than usual.

"Jer, stop making Blake uncomfortable! He's only pulling your tail, Blake." Angela said with a giggle after she smacked her husband's arm.

"We're no idiots." Jer said with a smirk. "We trust you a lot with our son and are hoping you guys are, at least, being safe." He continued with a shrug, but my eyes had widened in shock.

"Liam and I haven't fully mated." I grumbled, making the sheep in front of me, stare in wonder.

"Really? Huh." Jerald said thoughtfully. "You guys are doing better than us." He smirked again while winking at his wife. Angela's eyes widened as she smacked her husband again before blushing madly.

How could this man be so open with his son's mate? Wasn't there supposed to be some unsaid rule that father-in-laws were supposed to hate their son-in-laws; granted, Liam and I weren't married, but still.

"Excuse his behavior." Angela said as she rolled her eyes, making her husband laugh. "I'm kind of impressed that you both have waited this long. When you two do decide to mate, just be safe. Like Jer said, we trust you with Liam and believe that you'll take good care of him."

"No worries. I'll always take care of him."

"We know you will."

A week later, I noticed that Liam had been acting odd.

I'd like to think that it was because his eighteenth birthday was just around the corner and he was nervous about his wish, but something in me knew that that wasn't the case. Liam had been jumpier than usual and he would always scan his surroundings whenever we left the house. Granted, his S.A.D made him do this regularly, but now, he seemed to be distracted every two seconds.

"Liam!" I called out, causing my mate to jump as his eyes snapped up to meet mine. I frowned as I watched him tap his fingers against the mall's cafeteria table while tensing slightly.

"Y-yes, Blakey?" He mumbled, dropping his gaze down to my nose. I reached over the table to hold his hand in mine and rubbed my thumb against his skin.

"What's wrong, love?" I asked worriedly, causing Liam to glance around the cafeteria before shuffling closer to the table. I frowned even more as he leaned over it, causing me do the same so that he could tell me a secret.

"Blakey, s-someone has been watching me."
