"Please listen to my request!" Dan pleaded.

"I believe you do not have the right to give such a request! You are nothing but a weak ooman! Why on Yautja Prime, do I have the obligation to grant you such request! Only a strong warrior worthy enough may ask me, you, it will take centuries for you!"

De'miur'gios laughed hysterically, what a human asked him for a favor? Lesser beings don't have the right unless a performance worthy to honor is demonstrated.

"Demonstrate." De'miur'gios deeply said.

"Show to me that you can earn my respect, and I may grant your wish to have mercy on your mate. But... Your time is limited, your female is not the only one with something growing inside. Although yours is much more...dangerous."

Dan nodded, victory crept onto his face, but something the elderly said to him was out of place. He followed the Yautja back shortly after concluding. When his gaze fell on the woman he loves, he ran to her with joy. He took her by surprise. He lifted her up and spun her around.

"Dan!" Sahara screamed, with small giggles every now and then as she was lifted up.

"What made you so worked up?!" She questioned.

Dan's breathing shook, he could no longer contain his happiness, "you're pregnant, Sahara!" He shouted in glee.

Sahara's wide smile slowly faded away. She remembered what Flora said and it echoed inside her mind. A mother...huh?

"D-Dan... What did you just say?" Sahara gulped, her breathing swallowed again as her heart raised faster and faster.

"He told me... You're pregnant! We're going to be parents... You're going to be a parent..." Dan started enthusiastically but realized his whole situation.

"Aren't you happy?" He asked softly.

It took a while for Sahara to answer, "yes. Dan. I'm so happy! I'm happy that we'll be parents, I'm happy that it's with you! But... I don't know if I can go on! We're on a dangerous journey, and our child might get hurt! I don't want to lose our child... I don't want to lose you!" Sahara dropped down, fingers tightly clutched on Dan's shirt while she sobbed.

"I-I can't lose both of you!" She wept.

Dan gulped nervously. He felt guilty. Guilty that he wouldn't be there for her. That his life is very much similar to a burning candle with each second he wasted, his life inched closer and closer to death. He saw Sahara in her weakness, and his heart dropped knowing that he wouldn't be with her, with their child.

"Hey! Don't cry now! It's not like you!" He tried to reassure her.

His face gleamed his usual looks. His bright grey eyes, the small specks of pink blush on his cheeks, he tried his best.

"I want the old Sahara! The adventurous and sassy woman I fell in love with, " Dan comforted her.

He was successful and a small chuckle escaped from Sahara's lips, "just promise me... You'll stay by me, we'll raise a family together and hopefully, we get off this God-awful planet..."

De'miur'gios left the couple and proceeded to check up on Agnaktör.

"Patriarch..." Agnaktör voiced in his muffled voice.

"What have you in mind?" De'miur'gios sternly asked.

The fallen Yautja slightly tilted his head towards the two humans, "I have... a small... request which I want to confirm with... you. I have... managed to slay quite a few kiande amedha... which..." Agnaktör sighed tiredly.

"To our culture... I can now be considered a blooded warrior... right? My first request... I want that female... safe... protected. She is mine. Will... always be. Second... I entrust her to... a member of my litter... Gra'vios... or Yeyin-twei. I want one... to supervise and protect her, at all cost."

The rest of the hunting party perked up in disbelief, "you don't mean we should take her back to our planet and treat her like one of us, do you?!" Gra'vios growled, clearly distraught by the idea.

De'miur'gios thought for a moment to himself. Zen'nogre, wide-eyed, shocked at his brother's impossible request.

"Why not Dartouga?! He's a capable, intimidating male. He has the skill and ability to balance her protection and his duty!" Gra'vios continued on.

"Dartouga is one of my primary heirs. He has more than a duty, he has a responsibility, so don't obstruct him with that female." De'miur'gios spoke.

"I have decided." De'miur'gios added in. "Gra'vios. You are to be her guardian. For the final request of your brother."
