It was almost dawn. Dan groggily snapped from his sleep peeking sideways to where Sahara slept with only his shirt on that looked loose on her. He sighed, shaking the leftover dirt off of his arms and torso. Standing up, he flicked off strange leaves, that must've blown during the night, off of his pants.

Squatting down at her level, Dan shook Sahara to wake up.

"Shuuush..." she murmured, half asleep. "Let... me... sleep... for a bit."

The man released a quiet chuckle, combing his long fingers through his dusty hair.

"C' mon Sahara... we have to go," he tried again, this time, rolling her onto her back from her curled state.

"The hell!" She screeched, swatting him away.

Sahara begrudgingly sat up, scratched her head and groggily turned her head to Dan who held in a laugh. Despite having difficulty seeing his face in the light of dawn, she could tell he was smiling brightly. Her attention moved to the roots and to the ground.

'Right... we're not safe yet...' She returned a weak smile at the man, hoping that he could see her.

The two whizzed through the forest. Human footprints, barely visible from the haziness. They're getting closer to the exit! Light peeked from the edge of the difficult terrain. The horizontal glint of the morning rays meant that they were close.

After running through hurdles; the wicked trees, the mushy soil, and the constant need to take breaths. Sahara and Dan made it. They heaved heavily, almost suffocating them. The relief in their faces was unimaginable. They were happy that they survived.

_____

"Okay...," Sahara maneuvered over to the jeep, trying to ignore the corpses that lay flat on the ground.

'Get it together, Sahara!' She encouraged herself, taking in a deep breath to calm her racing heartbeat.

Dan walked over after neatly rearranging the bodies and covering them up. Right now he needed to be there for Sahara, who sat on the passenger side away from the hectic sight.

"Oi! It'll be okay once we reach base. We'll send in more reinforcement and blow up those things!" He energetically stated.

Sahara frowned, giving Dan a look, "Dan... what do you know about them?" She questioned.

The man slumped his shoulder. He looked at his feet then back to Sahara who still kept a taunting glare.

"You know them. You've seen them before, a few days ago, that substance... you were there weren't you?" Sahara attacked.

Dan bit his lip, "that's classified information Sahara," he growled back.

Hopping into the driver's seat, Dan gave a quick glance at Sahara who stared towards the rising sun. Lifting his arm up to comfort her, but he stopped midway knowing that it would only spark a fight.

"Agnak-tör, calm down!" Dartouga slammed the furious Yautja into the wall.

"Don't you think this is way too much?" Dia'vios asked.

The larger male, Dartouga, restrained the furious creature. If he could beat him up then he would have already done it without hesitation, but this was not his fight. It was Agnak-tör and Zen'nogre's. However, there was no time to even let his smaller comrades fight.

"Continue your petty fight later! We have a hunt to continue!" He exclaimed.

He turned to De'miur'gios, a stern look plastered on his face as if asking for help. The elder brushed off the plead, great hunters don't ask for help. Dartouga got the message, he'll have to sort this out by himself.

"Silence, fools!" He screeched a deadly sound which caused the whole ship to tremble.

"You! Agnak-tör! You are blinded by the hunt Agnak-tör, you yearn for something to satisfy your hunger for power - that is why you kept the woman alive! You wanted something you can confidently control!"

Dartouga switched his mocking gaze onto Zen'nogre, "and you... as a hunter you should know the rules of the hunting fields. You have involved yourself in Agnak-tör's personal matters. A great hunter does not take another hunter's belongings."

At the front, De'miur'gios scoffed. He had something to say but didn't bother to speak out his mind. They must learn for themselves.

"I'm at a lost for words!" Dia'vios exclaimed.

Beside him was Gra'vios who kept an enraged look. Dia'vios looked at him, not worried, but curious, cocking his head slightly to the side. Ever since they encountered the oomans, nothing but chaos faced them.

'First, it was those two idiots being captured. Then a little pest completely destroying the ways of a hunter, and more of them depleted our numbers,' Gra'vios thought.

After making their way to their shared quarters, Gra'vios slapped back his own armor in preparation for what is about to happen.

The light glowed bright orange in the skyline. Morning. A new day. A new hunt.

They are hunters, predators. They can smell the odor of their prey, like a thin line of breadcrumbs leading to the buffet table. Gra'vios masked himself with his helmet, a satisfying movement of his mandibles vanishing from behind his visors.

The hunt starts now.
