"What were you thinking Johnson?!" Hudson questioned the overly amused man.

"What? At least I didn't kill her, not yet anyway..." he gave a victorious smirk.

Hudson growled, "and what do you think you'll accomplish from all of this?"

Johnson sighed impatiently, "you're boring! It's much more fun if there's a drama within the story plot, makes things interesting."

"Plus, Sahara is a workaholic, there is no need for her to be involved in such love romances, so the best way is to sever their remaining infatuation with each other. To be honest I was hoping to have Malory in on this project instead of her, but unfortunately, she didn't survive."

Hudson gritted his teeth, "what exactly are you planning?!"

The man walked over to the wide window and gazed at the specimens in front of him. "You mean, what exactly is the company planning."

_____

"Dan...?"

Sahara stood with little emotion plastered on her face, "Gwen...," she looked at the woman who now stood in front of Dan.

"Oh! Sahara! You're back! I mean, of course, you're back!" Gwen gleefully rang. "You look... awful, mud everywhere! Your hair is a mess!"

The woman ran, similar to a small toddler, towards Sahara. She attempted to give her a hug but was painfully rejected with a piercing look.

"I haven't finished talking to you!" Sahara declared.

Dan struggled to get off his seat. He could sense the shaking aura of disappointment and a frenzy of rage. Many people feared her anger, including him and he fully knows what she can do.

"Wait! I-it's not what you think!" Dan stuttered uncontrollably.

"I don't care about that, what I do give a shit about is what Johnson is hiding within this place."

Gwen stayed on the side, a grim look on her face.

"Don't avoid the question, Dan. I know you're in on his plans," Sahara growled, more furious than before.

The heat and dry air parched their skins. It was too hot for Dan to even explain, but there was no going around with Sahara. He gulped, yet his dry throat felt like sandpaper. His stomach churned at the thought of spilling words but the fierceness of Sahara's glare was too intimidating.

"Sahara..." Dan said in a low tone, "this place-"

"Amazing! So... it is true that Sahara has the power to scare people to the point that they almost leak information! Wow, you should become an interrogator!" Gwen cackled in the most uncomfortable way.

Sahara shot her head towards the hysteric woman. Gwen. She used to be shy and clumsy, always apologizing for every single thing she does. Sahara frowned, was it all just an act? Did she know Johnson's plan all along? Before Sahara could speak, a tone loud enough to hear emerged from Gwen. The said woman revealed an earbud from her ear.

"Hey! Johnson! Yeah, he was almost close to telling her, but she knows already," Gwen gave a long glance to Sahara, "at least I think she knows. You want me to bring them both? No. Just Sahara?" With that, Gwen chuckled once more, "the boss wants to talk to you down at the lab."

Gwen signaled for Sahara to follow.

"Sahara wait!" Dan called out.

"Whatever Johnson tells you, know that I only kept my mouth shut to keep everyone safe."

Sahara wasn't happy with his reasoning, "safe? Malory and the others... are they safe now? You should have said something Dan, but you hid whatever Johnson is planning, you stood up for him just like the little lapdog you are."

_____

Sahara had never been to the bottom laboratory because it was where the most confidential and deadly experiments happen, but as soon as she entered the place it was far more complex as she thought. The halls were replaced with large capsules and some weird crab things floated in some substance. Some of those things latched onto the strong glass where it revealed a hideous - whatever it was - it was something right out of a nightmare.

Gwen continued to lead Sahara, men, Dan's men were guarding the place and each of them gave a confused glance at Sahara. Scientists worked with oval shaped, fleshy things in one room. Some probing them out of curiosity. How Sahara would love to be in their place. Further on, Gwen stopped and there he was, Johnson and beside him was Hudson and Charles.

She didn't notice sooner, but as soon as she looked up, two very humanoid creatures were displayed vertically for everyone to see. Their hands were fastened on the table slab and by the looks of it, they were unconscious. It was them. The others must be looking for them, which means...
