I woke up to the alarm of my phone. I must have forgotten to turn it off.

I reached over to the nightstand and felt around for my phone, to tired to open my eyes. I managed to turn off the alarm and then turned onto my other side. Then I noticed that Ryder had his arm wrapped around my waist and I was pulled tightly against him.

Slowly, I tried to get his arm off of me without waking him up.

"No," he mumbled into the pillow and kept his hold.

I huffed and looked at my phone to check the time.

8:14am.

We had about 45 minutes until we needed to be downstairs and ready to practice.

I turned off my phone and sunk back into the bed. I just lay there awake, wondering how to wake Ryder up. I know!

I turned to him and poked his cheek with my finger, making sure he's deep asleep again. Once I'm sure he's completely unconscious I lifted up his arm and got out of his grasp. Then, I tip toed into the bathroom. I took one of the glasses that they had in there and filled it up with ice cold water.

I think you know where I'm going with this.

I walked out of the bathroom and stood in front of Ryder. I nudged his shoulder but he only mumbled something incoherent before staying still.

"Ryder, you have to get up," I told him.

"Yeah, yeah," he mumbled, keeping his eyes shut.

"I'm gonna have to find a way to wake you up," I said.

He yawned and snuggled the pillow. "I'd like to see you try."

"Alright then."

I tipped the glass and the cold water splashed onto Ryder. He gasped and sat up. Slowly, he turned his head to look at me. He had a murderous look on his face.

"You did not just do that," he said and chuckled humourlessly.

Honestly, he was frightening me just a little. But I couldn't let him know that.

"I told you I'd find a way to wake you up," I told him confidently.

He glared at me and I took a cautious step back. "Umm..." I gulped. "We have to get ready," I reminded him.

"Well then let's get ready."

"Okay.." I said warily. I didn't believe that he was just going to let this go. "I'm taking the bathroom first," I told him. I grabbed some clothes and started to walk to the bathroom.

"Oh, I don't think so."

Ryder picked me up by my waist and threw me on the bed.

I let out a yelp as I landed on the bed. "Hey! What was that?!"

"I'm going into the bathroom first," he said and grabbed some clothes.

I got off the bed and ran to the bathroom. I was almost inside when Ryder grabbed one of my arms. I dropped my clothes and held onto the doorframe tightly.

"No! Ryder, let me go," I whined. "I'm not even gonna take that long. We're waisting precious time right now."

"Exactly. So just let me go in first," he said.

"Ryder if you don't let me go I will hurt you," I warned.

"I don't believe you."

"You always underestimate me," I said and shook my head disapprovingly. I kicked his crotch and he let go of me and fell to the ground, clutching his crotch.

"I told you," I said and picked up my clothes. I walked into the bathroom and turned around. "You should be fine again by the time I'm done," I said before closing the door.

15 minutes later and a whole lot of arguing, we were walking down the stairs.

I said we should take the stairs but Ryder wanted to go in the elevator. I managed to convince him by telling him how taking the stairs is better for him and all that stuff. Honestly, I just did not want to take the chances and get stuck in an elevator with him. I would rather be on the safe side.

So we were currently walking down the stairs when Ryder started laughing to himself.

"What?" I asked him.

"Remember that time you woke me up with cold water then kicked my crotch and I said that you should run?"

I stopped walking and looked at him. "Wha--?"

He glared at me. "Run."

I let out a yelp and started running down the stairs. I could hear him chasing after me. I got to the lobby and ran to the breakfast area where the rest of the team was already eating or getting food.

"He's trying to kill me!" I yelled and hid behind Blake.

He gave me a questioning look, asking me what I was talking about. Instead of explaining , I asked him something.

"Hey Blake. You still like me alive right?"

He was about to answer but I put a finger over his mouth and shushed him. I looked around to see if Ryder was anywhere. He was so close behind me he should already be downstairs by now. I cautiously looked over Blake's shoulder but I don't see him anywhere.

I let out a relieved sigh and relaxed. That is, until...

"Hello, darling."

My eyes widened and and I spun around. I screamed when I saw Ryder standing in front of me with a smirk on his face. I tried to run but he grabbed me and placed me over his shoulder so that I was hanging upside down.

Really? This again?

I hit his back with my hands, telling him to let me down but he didn't respond. He started to walk towards the doors of the lobby. The assistants at the desk gave us weird looks but Ryder just smiled at them and waved while walking out the door.

He looked around and noticed a pond on the grounds of the hotel.

"Ryder, no!" I yelled when he started walking towards it.

"Sorry, sweetie. Shouldn't have poured cold water on me," he replied.

"I'm sorry!" I shrieked when he stopped in front of the pond. "Ryder! No do--"

"Goodbye!" he said and threw me into the pond.

I landed in the pond with a big splash. The water surrounded my body and I swam up to the surface. I came up and gasped for air. Something slithered against my foot and I screamed. I looked down and saw a fish swimming past me.

I looked up and saw Ryder bending over and clutching his stomach while laughing. Tears were running down his face and he wiped them away with his thumb.

The rest of the team was standing behind him and laughing lightly. I'm guessing they followed us out here when they saw Ryder carrying me.

Ryder sobered up and looked at me.

I glared at him and in return he smiled at me.

"At least help me out, asshole," I said and held out my hand.

He shook his head. "Nope, not happening. That's like one of the oldest tricks in the book."

I quickly tried to think of another way to get him in here.

"Ew! Oh my god! There's and eel in here!" I screamed and pointed at the water.

Ryder got an excited look on his face and he stepped closer to the edge of where the ground stopped and the water started. He leaned over the edge and tried to look for the eel that was supposedly there.

"Idiot," I said and grinned wildly. I wrapped my hand firmly around his ankle and pulled him into the water.

He slipped and fell into the water with another big splash. He resurfaced and I started laughing just like he had.

There was a seaweed hanging over his head and I started laughing even more. He yanked it off and looked at me furiously. Before he could do anything, one of the guys started yelling.

"Cannon ball!"

He started running and jumped into the water. The others all start whooping and hollering. Some took off their shirts and others just jumped in. Pretty soon we were all having a big pool party.

Or should I say pond party? Haha.

It's okay. I hate myself too.

We were splashing each other and chasing on another in the water. Suddenly someone yelled "Chicken fight!" and I got put on someone's shoulders. I looked down and saw Blake smirking at me.

"Better win for us, doll," he said.

I looked up and saw one of the guys carrying Ryder on his shoulders.

"Oh this will be easy," I smiled wickedly and cracked my knuckles.

Ryder gave me a confident smirk. "I'll try not to hurt you," he said.

"Oh please," I scoffed. "The only one getting hurt is you," I told him.

"And go!" Blake yelled.

We grabbed each other's hands and tried to push one another off.

"You're not gonna win!" I yelled excitedly over the hollers and laughs of everyone else.

"Neither are you!" he shouted.

"Just give up!"

"You know that I don't just give up," he said. "Not in this game or us."

"You were the one who blew up at me!" I scoffed and pushed him harder.

"Because you were asking too many questions!" he said and also pushed harder.

My hand slipped out of his and I started to fall forward but I manage to compose myself. I grabbed Ryder's hand again and tried to push him off.

"Because you need trust in a relationship!" I yelled.

He was making me mad with him and his nonsense.

"We're not even in a relationship!" he yelled back.

One of the guys jumped into the pond and splashed water all over us again.

"But you need trust to even get in one!" I said.

"Who said I want to?!"

"Are you kidding me?!" I exclaimed.

Was this kid bipolar or something? Not even 3 minutes ago he was saying that he wouldn't give up on us and now he's saying he doesn't even want to be in a relationship.

"I'm not going to be your fuck-buddy!" I said and used all of my energy to push him.

"I never said that!"

"Well you sure as hell made it sound like that!"

"You're so confusing!" he complained.

What?! I was the confusing one?! Was he for real?

I pushed him with all of my force and he toppled over and into the water.

"Victory!" Blake and I shouted in sync and I threw up my hands in triumph. We high fived and I jumped off of him and into the water. I was about to brag to the other two when I heard a voice.

"Well what do we have here?"

I froze. We all knew that voice. We were in deep shit.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and turned to the person who was speaking.

"Hi, coach," Blake said and winced slightly.

"Hello, Blake. You all seem like you're having fun," he said and crossed his arms over his chest. "Just incase you wanted to know, it's currently 9:24. Anyone know what time you were suppose to be in the lobby? Justin?"

"9 o'clock," one of the guys, Justin, muttered.

"So then could you tell me why there was nobody in the lobby when I went down there at 9?" he asked.

"Coach," Ryder said. "We were only trying to forget about the pressure of today for a while. Aren't you the one who always tells us to relax and take our mind off of it?"

Was this boy trying to get himself killed? I mean, if he was I wouldn't mind helping...but that's not the point! Everyone knew that if you say something like that to coach, you won't live for much longer.

Coach scowled. "Just get out of there and dry yourselves. I want everyone in the lobby by 10. And actually be in the lobby!" he ordered before walking off and going back to the hotel.

What?! How did Ryder not just get yelled at? I guess that's one of the benefits when you're the teacher's favourite. I wouldn't know. I've never been one. Most teachers usually hate my guts.

We all let out a sigh of relief and allowed ourselves to relax. I'm pretty sure everyone thought they would never see their families ever again.

Slowly, we got out of the pond and wrung out our clothes a little before walking back into the hotel.

Every guest and assistant gave us a weird look as we walked back inside. I don't blame them because I would also stare if I saw a group of soaking wet teenagers walking through the lobby.
