Sam put his toque in his pocket and leaned over the water to try and get a closer look at the reflection of his face. But then Sam heard a noise behind him, he turned to see that the two girls had landed their canoe on the opposite side of his island.

The two girls walked out on to the island while the others waited. They ran towards him waving and Sam stood up and began to walk over to get closer to them, he was very pleased when he saw that they had noticed him. But something unexpected happened.

They both stopped and bowed before Sam and then the young girl with green hair said the most peculiar thing to Sam.

"LyrAndal! It's me Tiya!"

Sam wanted to say that they had him confused with someone else but Tiya was very excited and she appeared to have something very urgent to tell him.

"LyrAndal I never expected Candillice to find you! But there is someone we must still find. . . the one with the gift!" Tiya said but just as she finished speaking to Sam who was looking rather confused Candillice fell out of the tree from above Sam and landed on him.

"Sorry Sam. . . . Where are we?" Candillice asked Sam.

"This is my Realm," Gleeya answered the question Candillice had just asked.

Candillice stood up off the ground and helped Sam up who had just broken her fall. He had grass and dirt all over his clothes and face, he began to wipe it off when he noticed his hands were human looking again and his fur was gone too. Tiya saw this and then looked back at her new friends in the boat and then to Candillice before she realized her mistake.

"I know this one. I have watched him grow," Gleeya proclaimed.

"Why does he seem like LyrAndal?" Tiya asked Gleeya. But they both seemed unsure of why.

"He has great power. . . It feels like LyrAndal to me as well," Gleeya replied.

"I feel the same but he is not LyrAndal. . . . How can this be?" Tiya said.

"He is the one with the gift," Gleeya answered. "The young boy I have foreseen! Candillice this was your task! And you have done well! But his task will be much greater and he will have much to learn, you must all do your best to aid him!" Tiya said.

Gleeya and Tiya then began to emit a very strong glow.

"We are the lightling sisters and we give to you this task."

Meanwhile back in the throne room the Queen and her generals had grown impatient waiting for Candillice.

"Perhaps she is too afraid to admit her failure," One of the generals suggested.

"Keep the doors barricaded until the Great Spirit's sorted them out I say!" Another replied.

"The temple is not a prison open the doors immediately!" Tafficious commanded.

"I think they have been in there long enough!" Queen TyrAnna said.

TyrAnna ordered the doors opened, she began to walk up the stairs accompanied by her generals and royal guards. Tafficious witnessed this so he gathered his council and loyal guardsmen to follow the Queen's entourage.

The Queen was the first to barge into the temple and she was not pleased at what she saw.

"What is this! The statue has been removed and there is nobody in sight!" She yelled. But she screamed when she noticed the pendant that was around Sam's neck laying on the floor.

"Candillice! Why did I let her come up here with that thing!" She cried. She knew that she could not touch or destroy it so instead she became enraged and walked towards Tafficious in anger. "I didn't want her to be the Prophetigress! I didn't want this for her!" she screamed hysterically.

"Surely this is the will of the Great Spirit we must have faith." Tafficious stated but then a great argument began with much shouting and shoving among those who were loyal to the Queen and those who sided with the Prophetigress and Council.

"TyrAnna we should not be fighting here this is the Spirit's Temple and not the Senate floor!" Tafficious shouted. There was a heated argument that continued and became louder until all of a sudden there was a warm light that filled the room. The light came from the middle of the temple where the statue sat before.

The statue had returned with Candillice, Sam and his friends. Everyone could see that something mystical had taken place and proceeded to pay respect to the Great Spirit which to them meant kneeling before the statue and closing their eyes. Candillice could tell that an argument must have been happening in the temple. She could also hear the ruckus below as hundreds must have been waiting for the Prophetigress in the throne room and many more outside the Castle.

Sam realized his ears were showing and placed his toque back on his head. But not before TyrAnna had opened her eyes and given him a sharp look of disgust at the sight of his misshapen ears.

Candillice smiled and looked at Sam as she removed her wheel relic from the bag. She grabbed a hold of his hands and they both ran down the stairs. Candillice and Sam opened the doors to address the angry and depressed crowd of Tigris. TyrAnna made sure to have a good look and stood next to Tafficious as Candillice raised her grey and dead relic to show the crowd. The crowd became silent and watched as Sam placed his hands over the dead relic.

"It has never happened in all of our history that anyone other than my father King LyrAndal could Charm a Relic!" Princess TyrAnna said as even she stood with anticipation.

"For if someone could it would mean a return to the old ways when we Tigris were the masters of our world!" Tafficious added in reply to the Queens comment.

As Sam placed his hands onto the Wheel an energy sparked from his hands and this time Candillice did not pull away as she did before.

Sam heard Gleeya's voice as though she were still with him

"You are the one with the gift."

Everyone watched as the grey dull colour of the wheel changed before their eyes becoming golden once more. Candillice and Sam held the Wheel up high together and let it go.

It began to spin and play its musical tune to the crowds delight. As the music began to play all of their fears were calmed.

A great celebration began and an even greater feast.

When the food was served there was a special table designated for the Prophetigress and her Protectors. Sam and Rufus were surprised to see June run to the table and begin to eat before anyone else. Sam remembered that June was the first of them to speak with the sisters and she was also alone with them on the canoe for a brief period of time.

"You look happy June what did they tell you?" Sam asked.

"On the boat ride?" June said with food in her mouth.

"Yeah!" Sam said. He waited as June swallowed the food. She smiled at Sam and he knew it must have been really good. "It's a secret," June told him then started eating again.

"Delicious absolutely delicious! This banquet is far superior to that mushroom and algae swill dispensed by the Underlings would you not agree Samuel?" Rufus said as he was both eating and scanning the food into his Food E device.

Sam was not sure what he was eating however he did find the taste of everything to be very enjoyable. It reminded him of roast chicken, tuna casserole, potatoes, gravy and something that resembled the taste of carrots. They were also served a fruit juice that was a bit like a mango and pineapple flavor possibly a fruit that grew on the surface of the world.

"I think I had this before but how would that be possible?" Reegan said.

"They called it Astral Colada in the underground water park," Sam replied.

"Yes it appears to be the same concoction that the Virillians used to administer their drugs to you Mr Reegan sir," Rufus said.

After that conversation everyone was focused on eating, as they ate another conversation began over at the table where the Queen was assigned to sit with the newly freed Tigris. She sat with the young ones as they enjoyed what was probably their first decent meal in their lives. The Queen explained the use of the utensils and the names of each dish. She made sure they each had eaten a good portion before asking them for their names.

"Purby!" "Snacker," "Spotty," "Cubby," "Pip," "I'm Catleah!" They said. TyrAnna was horrified. "Who gave you these names? These are not proper Tigris names!" she yelled. They all pointed at June. Queen TyrAnna addressed the one who just called herself Catleah.

"I will give you a proper Tigris name this moment!" TyrAnna stated.

"Setisha! Yes that is what I will call you." She said as she named her but Catleah gave a grimace at this name as she did not like it one bit.

The empty plates began to stack up at the Prophetigress table, Candillice was surprised at how much Sam could eat as his plates were piled up nearly as high as hers.

"I'm stuffed wow this food is great Candillice!" Sam said.

"Glad you like it Sam sooooo. . . . What did you think of meeting Tiya?" Candillice asked.

"Oh Yeah she is great! Her sister too!" Sam exclaimed.

"What's up with them calling Sam LyrAndal?" Reegan asked.

"My Grandfathers name!" Candillice explained. Reegan was shocked to hear this however he soon straightened up and became skeptical. He wondered if it could be a common name here.

"Really? Can we meet him?" Reegan replied calmly.

"He is gone now, he went missing when I was very young," Candillice replied with sadness.

"Poor Reegan, we found the Kitty People but not the big Kitty he's looking for!" June said.

Reegan stuck his tongue out at June and gave her a funny face which caused her to giggle.

"We've still made some incredible discoveries! Huge discoveries! Oh. . . It's too bad that your Grandfather is missing Candillice you must miss him alot," Reegan stated as he ate a large helping of food. Candillice smiled in reply.

"Oh! By the way! Those two Lightling sisters approved of my idea of filming my television show here. . . . Yeah they thought it would be great for raising awareness of the plight of your people with the star nations!" Reegan explained.

"What is Star Nations?" Candillice asked.

"It is a constitutional republic that, through a Galactic Council governs this Galaxy," Rufus explained.

"That's very good Rufus this kid is a know it all!" Reegan s.

"Yeah So I've been meaning to ask if there was some sort of arrangement we can have on physical evidence I can show the Council, maybe some artifacts on loan?" Reegan asked.

"Are you planning on leaving soon? We really need your help you heard what Tiya said! We have a task to complete!" Candillice said.

"Well of course I am gonna stick around! We have got a television show to produce! HOOO! I can see it now just imagine the title. Reegan's Galaxy of the Unknown: The Quest for LyrAndal! It's gonna be a big hit a four episode arc. . . NO! An entire season!" Reegan said very excitedly.

"Do you suppose the Star Nations will want to establish an embassy on this planet Mr Reegan sir?" Rufus asked.

"Whoa whoa. . .Whoa-ho! Lets not get too far ahead now Rufus this guy oh boy!" Reegan exclaimed.

"I can offer you gifts for your help and Tafficious is the one you might want to ask to borrow artifacts. . . I will also speak with my Mother," Candillice replied. "You will!? well thank you very much!" Reegan said. He laughed while desert was served which was some sort of pie, it was so delicious that everyone ate at least three slices.

"Where is Carlyle?" Sam asked Candillice which caused her to pause. She looked over to the table where the other Protectors of the Prophetigress were assigned to eat. There was an empty seat where Carlyle should have been sitting.

"It isn't like him to pass up a meal," Candillice remarked.

"We should go look for him Candy!" June said and Candillice nodded.

"I did see him head for the courtyard. We should speak with him," Tafficious said and Candillice followed him towards the door.

Reegan and Toido decided to go back to the Wagon to prepare for a presentation they were giving later that night so Sam, June and Rufus all followed closely behind Candillice.

On their way to the courtyard Sam had figured from the way Tafficious and Candillice were speaking that they were going to confront Carlyle. Confront him for what he had told the Queen in advance about Sam.

They found Carlyle under his favourite tree in a bed of grass. He at first appeared to be only resting until they heard him moaning in pain, he noticed them approaching.

"Carlyle what happened to you?" Candillice asked with concern in her voice. Carlyle revealed the back of his paw where he had been licking a wound.

"I do apologize but you know that it is impossible to lie to the Queen when she demands to know every detail," Carlyle said.

"I don't know what has gotten into her?" Candillice exclaimed.

"She was very worried about you, but then became very obsessive. Her highness could see when I wasn't telling her everything! And. . . . aach!" Carlyle said in pain.

"Oh Carlyle. . .You should go to the infirmary and have that looked at!" Candillice said.

"No leave me I am not worthy of being your protector," Carlyle said with great sorrow.

"Don't be ridiculous Carlyle," Candillice said but Carlyle turned away, he laid down to sleep.

"But there's a big meal!" Sam said to which Carlyle's ears perked up.

"Ya there's lots of leftovers I bet!" June shouted.

"Or I could procure some fresh samples from my Food E. I did program all of the dishes into it's memory Mr Carlyle sir!" Rufus stated.

"A meal you say? Well I guess there is no harm in going to the infirmary after a quick bite," Carlyle said. They helped Carlyle get up and walked with him towards the entrance of the courtyard. It was apparent that he had not only taken a cut but a beating as well from the way he was walking.

"I suggest caution from here on forth that none of your protectors be alone with the Queen or her generals!" Tafficious said.

Rufus was listening intently as he had been watching the behaviour of some of the Tigris when they arrived. He had read books about governments in Earth's history and learned of similar situations around the Galaxy.

"Political disagreements are not uncommon! It appears that there are two factions managing the state and with opposing viewpoints for this case in particular," Rufus whispered to Sam and June.

"Huh?" June said.

 "Grownups arguing!" Sam explained, June replied "Got it!" as she nodded her head.
