"In a realm above all Creation , just below the realm of the Creator there existed a race of beings composed of pure light.

Called the Lumaidi.

These beings lived in the Solastri forest and were tasked with tending the fruit of the celestial trees.

It is within this fruit that the Harmonic Abodes grow. The Universe in which we live is one such Abode. The Lumaidi loved all of creation and for eons they helped us to live fulfilling lives of peace and harmony.

There was one Lumaidi above all who was the greatest, the most powerful and wise, his name was LyrAndal. It was decided that he would be the one to speak to those of us who dwelled in the lower realms of the Harmonic Abodes. As we progressed with our societies he would offer us guidance on our path.

And for a thousand years LyrAndal conversed with those who would listen to him. It began with few, but as we learned of ways to live in harmony with one another the number of those who conversed with LyrAndal grew and he became Legendary. It was a very peaceful time for those who dwelled in the Harmonic Abodes. After some time there were others among the Lumaidi that became jealous. They called themselves the Illinliu and they desired one of the Harmonic Abodes as a paradise for themselves. They thought if they could conquer just one Harmonic Abode they would go unnoticed.

But they were wrong.

As they laid siege upon our plain of existence harming and enslaving those who dwelled here the people called out for help. Our freedom was so precious to LyrAndal that he chose to abandon his life in the Solastri realm and fight for us. Many of the Lumaidi followed LyrAndal coming to our aid with a mission to destroy this evil.

But there was a drawback in coming to this realm, they would have to leave behind most of their power and take physical form.

LyrAndal accepted these conditions and chose to become a feline warrior big and strong!"

As Reegan was storytelling,  Toido projected a series of holographic images above the people that were sitting down. There were many great displays of holographic images projected from Toido but this was the most prominent and awe inspiring. An animation portraying a great warrior man in feline form was shown transforming from a being of pure light. This being granted the power of transformation to his fellow warriors.

Sam was very interested in seeing these feline warriors as they had tails, sharp claws and heightened senses. For Sam the characters of Reegan's tale were very encouraging.

"In the darkest hour as the Illinliu unleashed horrible weapons of war, LyrAndal created objects imbued with magical properties derived from the energies of the Solastri realm."

"We Galactics call these objects. . . Relics."

"There are many Relics throughout the Galaxy, some are on display in museums and some are kept secret. . . but most are hidden or lost.

"The power of these objects was what turned the tide of the battle and vanquished the forces of evil. Only LyrAndal can restore the power to the Relics . . . . . . Nobody has heard from him for thousands of years, but it is believed that he's still here somewhere in this very Galaxy!"

Reegan was finished and everyone clapped their hands for Reegan and Toido's performance. The children were all full of smiles and the adults who had asked the many questions were quiet as they contemplated on what they had heard.

Reegan continued as he had something very important to add.

"The legend that I just told you has never before been spoken of on this planet, until now. This is why I came here, I believe the clues to finding LyrAndal are present here in this Solar System! It is my hope that you the people of Earth will now join me on my quest in the search for LyrAndal."

The people clapped again, many felt encouraged to be offered the chance to help Reegan.

"Is it snack time?" Reegan asked and all the children cheered.

"Back on my home planet we have Tree Mallows so I wasn't entirely sure what you guys meant when you said you wanted to roast Marsh Mallows."

The children looked at each other and June said "ewww!" with a disgusted look on her face.

"Luckily I went to the grocery store!" Reegan said as he pulled out a large bag of Marshmallows to the relief of the children.

While Reegan was making jokes with the group Andrew was standing back a ways staring at the time on his watch and growing impatient. Just then Andrew noticed Toido opened a compartment within his torso.

"Ahh! It must now be time," Andrew whispered to himself. But it was marshmallow toasting sticks that Toido removed from the compartment and began to hand them out to the children. These Marshmallow sticks had a built in guard to prevent the burning of the marshmallow and produce a perfect toasting every time.

Toido showed the children how to use them.

"Thank You Mister," A little girl said as she hugged Toido's metal leg.

"And what of the testing of the device?" Andrew asked Toido in a rude tone of voice. Toido responded by putting the sticks and bag of Marshmallows in Andrew's hands.

The children all crowded Andrew who looked befuddled.

Toido left to set up the area needed for the feats of strength activity. There were trampolines and a series of weights that ranged from ten to one hundred pounds. Around this testing area there were some flags to mark the range of the device's effectiveness.

Sam was about to go stand in line and wait for the feats of strength activities event when he heard Reegan shout something that peaked his interest.

"Does anybody want a closer look at a Relic?"

Reegan walked over to a display case that was set up nearby. There were many objects within this case, it was sort of a mini museum with short explanations of each object. He removed A grey dull colored circular object with three small jewels that also looked grey in color.

"I have in my hand here one of these Relics. . . . Like many of the Relics. . . It's power became drained long ago."

The children became excited and came close to him shoving and shouting.

As Reegan handed his Relic to one of the children he suggested they pass it to the left of them until everyone had a chance to hold it.

"It's got no juice but it is indestructible so don't worry about breaking it. . . Ha ha ha!" He laughed.

Sam waited patiently until the Relic reached the hands of Rufus standing to the right of him. Rufus examined the Relic. He could see that it was actually made up of three concentric circles held together by three jewels. It was very grey with the jewels black in color and murky on the inside.

Rufus then turned the Relic over revealing the other side which to Sam's amazement featured a familiar symbol. It was the same symbol of an ancient Egyptian style feline that was exactly like the one on the Pendant that his uncle had given to him.

"It can't be" Sam said as he reached out to touch the symbol on Reegan's Relic.

A loud rumbling sound emanated from the object, sparks began to fly.

It then appeared to glow and this startled Rufus so much that he dropped the Relic on the ground. The other children saw this jumped around excitedly at what had just happened.

"Oooh it did something Reegan!" One child shouted as he rushed to the scene.

"Hey it's my turn next!" June scolded them.

Reegan was answering the questions of one of the parents and had not witnessed what happened, he walked over to investigate. Before he came close Sam felt a sharp tug on his arm. Andrew had maneuvered through the crowd of children and in all of the commotion grabbed Sam to pull him away.

Rufus was curious and began to follow, which irritated Andrew.

"Here, go roast Marshmallows," Andrew said to Rufus as he handed him the marshmallow bag and the sticks that Toido had burdened him with.

"Go and see that Protolian. I will do the rest," Andrew told Sam.

Sam walked calmly towards the testing grounds that Toido had assembled.  Seeing how anxious his uncle was reminded Sam what he had told him of the imminent attack coming from outer space.

Sam looked up at the stars as he walked but all he could see was a calm clear night sky.

Peaceful, no enemies up there he thought.

"I'm not letting you get stronger than me freak boy!" Kenneth yelled as he pushed past Sam.

"Cut that out Ken!" Sam yelled.

Kenneth started running towards Toido's testing grounds followed by his girlfriend Rachel and two other girls. They giggled at Sam as he ran to catch up with them.

Sam watched the girls run past him, he then looked around at all of the people having so much fun that he forgot about what was troubling him.

Toido stood waiting as the five youths approached him with their consent forms ready.

He looked over each consent form, the Extraterrestrials believed that consent was not something to be taken lightly and if the individual did not fully comprehend what it was that they were consenting to, it must be ascertained.

Toido played a projection of a short introductory video of the device for the children.

"Greetings people of Earth, I am Captain Nallany Choleska of the Poladean fleet," Nallany was on the screen speaking to them wearing her captain's outfit, she had a very serious look on her face.

"I would like to Introduce to you the latest discovery of our Poladean Scientists,"

The camera cut to an image of the device.

"The G.H.A.R.P. Genetic Healing Advanced Repair Prototype or simply called the Genetic Harp is a healing device designed to remove the inhibitors within an individual's genetic code, inhibitors that were created with the darkest of negative energy. We have already determined this to be safe and will only cause a temporary but extraordinary result upon your human forms,"

"Do each of you fully comprehend what it is that you are consenting to?" The projection of Captain Choleska asked as Toido scanned the eyes of each of the children.

The children each nodded and said yes to Nallany.

"Very good now before we activate the device we need to ascertain your current abilities unaided by the device,"

Toido pointed to the weights and trampoline. This was to gauge each participants physical abilities before they were affected by the frequencies of the Genetic Harp. He decided that for the first test it will be two at a time and so Kenneth and Sam stepped forward while the three girls watched.

There was a row of weights laid out on the grass ranging from ten to one hundred pounds. Sam decided to lift the ten first. He was able to lift the weight above his head and then placed it back down on the ground. Kenneth grabbed the twenty pound weight and lifted it above his head and proceeded to boast while doing a few curls. Neither of the two boys could lift the fifty pounds for longer than a few seconds.

Toido moved them on to jumping, he tested them with and without the trampoline. This was to measure the distance of how high Kenneth and Sam could jump with their current strength.

Toido had finished his observations and was ready to turn on the machine and study the results.

"The device will now be activated. If either of you wish to change your decisions, now is the time," Nallany informed them.

Sam and Kenneth proceeded to walk towards the device. Sam felt worried, he clutched the pendant, he looked back at the camp fire. There were many people that were there still, smiling and having fun. He saw some children roasting marshmallows laughing and playing, many still remained at the event even though the hour was getting late

"You ain't backing out now?" Kenneth glared at Sam and challenged.

Toido was just about to turn the nob on the device when turned to look back at the children. He wanted to make sure none of them were having second thoughts.

Kenneth saw that his cousin had a concerned look and was clutching the pendant under his shirt. Sam stopped to look back up at the stars with growing concern that was apparent all over his face.

Toido almost noticed before Kenneth jumped in front of Sam.

"No Problem here! No problem at all! Let's go!" He said.

The Genetic Harp was activated.

A whoosh sound emanated from the device followed by a visible wave that spread out and then dissipated at the border where Toido had placed the flags. Sam pulled his pendant from under his shirt to see if the device had any effect but nothing was happening.

Toido wanted to begin the testing and directed that Sam try the fifty pound weight again.

Sam walked over to the fifty pound weight. He bent his knees and gave a deep breath in preparation to lift the heavy object.

"WOW!" Sam exclaimed. To his amazement the fifty pound weight felt very light, he could lift it over his head with ease.

Kenneth walked up to Sam and grabbed the fifty pound weight from him.

"Hey ladies check it out," Kenneth said as he curled the fifty pound weight. The girls smiled and then looked over to Sam who was now jumping on the trampoline.

"This is fun!" Sam said as he jumped higher than he'd ever jumped before.

Kenneth glared at Sam who was doing flips and twirling in the air with each jump on the trampoline. Sam was gaining altitude with each jump.

Kenneth noticed the pendant did not appear to be effected by the Genetic Harps frequencies. He walked over to his father who had been watching among a group of onlookers.

"Look nothing is happening, Dad!" Kenneth whispered impatiently.

"Let me do this, I should be the one to use that power!" He said with frustration in his voice.

"Keep watching!" Andrew replied with confidence.
