Sam held on to the shield relic as more Grotesques and Protolians arrived to attack the barrier. Reegan and Tafficious did what they could to make the Old Tigris comfortable but his condition worsened.

Sam's mind was still full of many questions.

But one question stood out more than the others.

"If this Prince. This Siamisha isn't dead where is he?" Sam asked. Rufus had been thinking about this as well. Rufus was nervous as what he had to say next might sound preposterous to everyone.

But he felt it was required to say what he needed to say to help solve the mystery.

"If I may answer Samuel. . . I believe I know the answer. . .Sorry in advance err Princess Candillice and Carlyle but I believe you were unable to witness the event I am about to refer to and the conclusions I may come to well. . . If I may make so bold a claim. . ."

"You see Samuel's father. Mr Bradley Gusterson transformed into a Tigris. A Tigris which the Queen herself called Aughustus!" Rufus shouted quickly and loudly but very nervously.

Candillice turned to Tafficious. He nodded.

"It is true Candillice," Tafficious said.

"Now as Captain Bradley Gusterson and Aughustus are the same individual being I believe that I would have to come to the conclusion that you and Samuel here share the same parentage!" Rufus continued to explain.

"What! So she is my sister? But what happened to the baby!?" Sam asked.

"ERROOOWAH! That's who you are you big dummy!" June Screamed.

"I'm Siamisha?" Sam questioned.

Carlyle was clearly very agitated by this suggestion. Candillice began to cry but when she looked up at Sam she became angry.

"You go too far Sam!" She scolded.

The Grotesques and the Protolians pounded on the shield and it looked like the shield bubble was beginning to lose strength. It's area of protection started to shrink.

"I wish my Dad was here! He could save us and then I could ask him about Siamisha," Sam commented.

"You! How dare you continue to speak that name!" Carlyle shouted.

He stood up, though he could not see, he tried to claw at Sam, he was very angry with him.

"Listen to all of you! How foolish? How gullible do you think we are? You think you can make a claim to the Throne! Is that it? And that I should owe you my fealty?" Carlyle yelled.

Sam dodged Carlyle's claw attacks but he was getting close.

"Stop that Carlyle!" Sam shouted but Carlyle heard the sound of his voice. He figured out where Sam was and grabbed him. In Carlyle's mind all was lost he knew it was only a matter of time until the Grotesques captured them.

The Protolians and the Grotesques grew again in numbers and so did the intensity of the attack on the shield barrier, causing it to shrink in further upon them. The old Tigris was coughing and wheezing as he was having a hard time breathing.

He seemed to be very close to death.

"I think we are going to lose him Toido," Tafficious said.

"Can we remove his mask now?" Tafficious asked and Toido nodded.

Tafficious loosened the mask and the old Tigris removed the mask himself, he turned his head over and placed his hands over his eyes to rub them.

Carlyle still held a firm grip on Sam, with a deep breath and with all of his anger and rage he let out a very loud and threatening roar. But Sam was not phased by this and he too breathed in very deeply.

Sam let out a large roar.

He had inexplicably done so many times before. However this time his roar was many times greater. It not only out did Carlyle's, in fact it shook the entire throne room. Afterwards all was silent.

The Protolians and the Grotesques backed away from the shield, the fire that was raging had calmed and so had the breathing of the old Tigris. Even Carlyle was shocked by Sam's powerful roar and there was a silence that lasted what felt like ages until an as yet unheard voice broke it.

"Oh for a roar like thunder, and the claws to scratch the itch of strife!"

Carlyle heard the voice but he did not know where it came from. It was familiar to him but a voice he had not heard in a very long time.

He let go of Sam and though he could not see who was speaking it was as if he recognized the voice, he proceeded to kneel towards the voice and lowered his head. Everyone wondered what had gotten into him, they looked at who he knelt in the direction of.

It was the old Tigris who lay on the floor dying, he was the one that was speaking.

"When the one who has no sight suddenly sees

after losing all senses amid the turmoil of the

trouble that fills the air, drowning all of our souls

in hopelessness. How can we withstand it?

Why when this thunderous roar blast do you now not see

it's royal distinction?"

"King Lyrandal! I hear you! I can see you!" Carlyle exclaimed.

His eyes were back to normal, The blinding baton was so close to his eyes it should have been enough to blind him for a week. However his sight had returned, he was thankful.

A light shone from King Lyrandal, one that Reegan recognized was ethereal.

"We found him Sam!" Reegan said. A tear came down his face, Reegan could see Lyrandal was close to death.

"King LyrAndal. . . . Andruin cursed him with madness I hid it until the day he disappeared from Catlinburg," Tafficious explained to everyone as he knelt next to the Old Tigris.

"I am cured! I am cured of the hideous deed that originated

from the minds of those who intend to hide from accountability

to the higher power. When a roar of tremendous fury shakes the

foundation of Tiyamat, of Earth, and beyond!

Will the nations of Sol band together to fight against the plague that

spreads?

When even as the demons of hell are laughing!

When with a roar so powerful that even I LyrAndal awaken to heed it's call?"

Candillice did not believe them as she remembered her grandfather was a large and strong Tigris with a deep and proud voice not this old Tigris that had withered away in a dungeon for so many years. Still to her there was something about his voice and she moved in to have a closer look. She gazed on his face. She remembered her granfather's eyes.

It was by his eyes that she knew him.

"Grandfather?" Candillice asked. She grabbed his hand and cried.

The old Tigris coughed again and appeared to be in great pain.

"Granddaughter! You are Prophetigress now I see. . . but where is the ring?"

Candillice turned to the ring of the Prophetigress that was on the floor. King LyrAndal looked to see where the ring was placed.

"I was, I tried. . . . But I have failed," she replied.

"Candillice I am here now and I see you have grown. . . . .

Be it not that I was robbed of these many years to be

here for you. But you have done well, very well!"

Candillice both smiled and cried at the same time. She felt proud to hear her Grandfather say she had done well. But she still did not see how as in her mind she had failed in every task the Great Spirit asked of her.

"Sam come to me by my side for I have my thanks to

give you. It was you who found and awakened me!"

Sam stepped toward the LyrAndal and he allowed him to place his paw on his forehead.

An intense glow emitted from LyrAndal's paw to Sam's head.

"Within you I sense a hidden strength. . . .

Yes! There you are! I see you now! Who you truly are!"

With his paw on Sam's forehead he began to whisper, he coughed so much it was apparent to everyone how weak he had become. What energy he had bestowed to Sam it appeared that it was the last of his life energy.

The old Tigris fell over and breathed his last. King LyrAndal was dead.

Candillice screamed as the others gathered to say good bye.

For Candillice it was a devastating blow as this day she had lost both her Mother, Father and Grandfather and soon in her mind would be the end of her life, or beginning a life of slavery. It depended on what the Grotesques and mind controlled Protolians had plans for.

"She killed him! She killed my Grandfather!" Candillice cried.

Everyone was sad as they looked down at LyrAndal's body. Everyone but Sam who held is head high. He looked himself over after LyrAndal's hand fell from his forehead.

But whatever stopped the Grotesques and Protolians from attacking the barrier had ended as they continued their attempts to take down the shield relics barrier. It was only a matter of time until Adimniss would have them all within her cold grasp.
