As Tiya's strength was drained Adimniss grew in power. 

She became too much for Captain Choleska and the crew of the Salvation to handle. The bridge of the Salvation was filled with shouting as each of the crew notified Nallany of every change in the situation.

"Shields holding Captain," 

"Firing aft cannons!" 

"Thrusters are hit but damage is minimal," However there was one notification that caught the attention of Nallany the most when one of her officers yelled.

"There's a big storm brewing to the east Captain!"

Nallany stood up from her seat at the sight of the incredibly massive twister. She looked below to see that many shadow vines were coming up from below the vessel, they were a hundred times stronger than the usual strength of Adimniss.

"Evasive Actions!" Nallany shouted but it was too late. The shadow vines had caught hold of the ship and the Negatis star ships fled the area to avoid the storm.

"We're caught Captain and that storms heading straight for us!" Her tactical adviser stated.

Nallany was fearful, she began to take a step back. She turned around to see her crew looking to her for courage, she thought back to her previous experience with solar storms.

"Well men don't look so glum, I've faced worse storms in much less! And this here is no row boat!" Nallany shouted with confidence even though it was a lie, she had never seen a storm of this powerful magnitude.

"You men look alive secure those solar sails, I want both anchors dropped so we don't go topsy turvy lads. You there! Close those gun ports!" Nallany commanded.

Through all the busy activity on the bridge the Emperor signalled with an urgent matter. His forehead was sweating profusely, he was very frightened. He was sitting in his throne room. The space around him was warped and distorted. 

Some of the walls around him were beginning to crack, his voice was changing pitch with each distortion wave.

"Captain Choleska what is happening there? We are experiencing what my scientist here are calling cosmic disturbances, emanating from an incredibly powerful Cymatic event! These disturbances are being reported all throughout the Galaxy! Don't tell me the spire was activated and is now ripping a hole through the Universe! Just as we feared!"

The Emperor said very fast and nervously but Nallany was focused on saving her ship.

"Sorry your Majesty but I will have to call you back another time, brace for impact!" Nallany yelled.

She held on tight as a gust from the storm broke off and came their way shaking the ship immensely.

"Just a tiny dust devil men haha! I want this bowsprit bridge pulled in last men, pull in all the booms and the rudder! Were going to make ourselves as compact as possible, divert all energy to the shields!" Nallany commanded.

Nallany watched until the bridge was moved into the hull and there was no more visibility. The gate closed before the storm began to hit the Salvation's shields.

Sam and Reegan stood watching as the enormous twister slammed into Nallany's ship. 

Adimniss was laughing maniacally as she focused all her efforts on destroying Nallany.

"I highly doubt they will survive!" Andrew stated as he watched the shields of the Salvation weaken. 

But Sam looked down at the Genetic Harp that was in his hand.

"I will give her all the energy I can spare!" Sam said. 

He proceeded to charm the relic once more, he gave it all he had and it severely drained him. 

He fell to the floor.

"I'm really tired," Sam said event though he knew that it was not a good time for rest.

"There has to be some way to save Tiya!" Candillice exclaimed. She tried to reach for the receptacle but was given a nasty jolt just as Kenneth was, however she continued to try.

"Stop Princess you will only harm yourself!" Carlyle said as he held her back.

Sam stood himself up, he walked in front of everyone and the receptacle.

"There has to be a way come on Uncle Andrew think of something!" He yelled.

"It's over Sam, the only way to stop the transfer would be to overload the device with a second Quartanitz of equal or greater power. . . . I searched for the Quartanitz on Earth in vain for many years, we are out of time!" Andrew explained, he bowed his head in defeat and shame.

But Sam became excited as he heard his uncle's words. He held out his pendant which was no longer heavy, he could now remove it from around his neck as though it knew that the time had come.

"Gleeya!" Sam exclaimed.

"Gleeya? How is it you know that name?" Andrew stood up to question Sam.

"She's in here, inside the pendant!" Sam explained.

"How?" Andrew asked.

"I don't know how I just know it is her! Lets try it!" Sam replied and he reached to place the pendant over the receptacle.

But Adimniss sensed the danger, Shadow vines and flying dust appeared all around Sam and his friends. When it cleared Sam could see they were surrounded by Protolians. 

 And then someone grabbed his leg and he was being held upside down.

"Lurkis!" Candillice exclaimed.

Lurkis held Sam upside down by his leg and moved him away from the receptacle where Sam had nearly dropped the Pendant. Shadow vines were quickly moving in to hold every one else back so they could not come to Sam's defense.

Adimniss stepped forward very slowly, her power was growing stronger as the light of Tiya's Quartanitz faded and nearly dimmed.

"Soon the spire will have breached beyond this Universe and the Quartanitz will be returned to my Masters! And then I shall rule above you all at the side of the Illinliu!" Adimniss proclaimed.

The patterns in the sky became more complex. It was creating a tear in each of the levels of the harmonic abode. Every higher dimension of the Universe was affected by this.

"You shouldn't trust the Illinliu Adimniss! It's documented throughout history they are deceivers!" Reegan calmly warned Adimniss but she tightened the shadow vines around him causing great pain.

"Silence! Suffer! You will all Suffer and kneel before me!" Adimniss shouted but Sam roared and hissed at her. 

Adimniss took a step back but her fear only lasted seconds.

She summoned dark magic and began to cast a spell on Sam. He struggled against her but he was already much too weak after giving Nallany all of the energy he had to spare.

The dark spells power washed over him and began to transform him, his fur vanished, his deformed ears reappeared, he looked up at his tail and it was ugly again. Lurkis laughed and ridiculed him as he still held him upside down from his tail. Sam had a look of disappointment and tears came from his eyes, but his expression changed to a look of contempt as he looked up towards Adimniss.

"So much for your little prince! The pathetic heir of LyrAndal, so weak, so helpless. . . . LURKIS! CAST HIM TO THE FLOOR!" Adimniss shouted as she pointed where to have Lurkis throw Sam, before one of the Protolians.

"I shall have the Protolians execute you first Siamisha!" Adimniss stated.

"Sam! No! Don't hurt my brother!" Candillice pleaded as she was held back by the shadow vines around her.

Sam heard the pleas of Candillice and the screams of the others. He looked up from the floor where he was thrown very roughly. His sight was filled with the view of the Protolian that would be his executioner.

"KILL HIM!" Adimniss commanded as she tightened the shadow vines around the others so they could barely breath.

The Protolians began to step forward, there were six of them that Sam counted. Three stood by Adimniss and another three blocked any chance of escape on the other side of the receptacle where Sam was thrown before the closest Protolian, the one who Adimniss had just ordered to execute him.

Adimniss was laughing at the suffering of the others but Sam could only watch as the Protolian walked slowly towards him. The metal feet of the tall creature hitting the metal surface of the spire became ominous. Soon his executioner stood over him, Sam could see it's shadow cast over him. He was too weak to dodge any attack, he wanted to look away but as the Protolian stood over him he wondered why it was taking so long to attack him.

Even though he felt great despair, he looked up at the very large Protolian. 

There was something Sam noticed that was peculiar about this Protolian. 

It had a finger painted fairy on it's torso and Sam quickly recalled that June had painted such a fairy on Toido while he was eating a piece of fried fish not long ago. 

Sam turned around to smile at Adimniss. She was confounded by this, she looked up in fear as she realized that she had only summoned five Protolians to the Plateau of the Spire.

"I'M GONNA KICK YOUR BUTT!" a loud and electronically amplified but familiar voice said coming from the top of the back of the Protolian.

"June!" Sam exclaimed.

It was June Peyton who was operating Toido's manual controls on his upper back compartment, just as she learned the night of Reegan's gathering at the campsite.

Adimniss took a step back and saw Sam's smile, the scratch he gave her once again appeared on her face. 

Her shadow vines weakened and so did her hold on Sam's friends.

"Stop them!" Adimniss ordered the other Protolians.

But June had already pushed the red button on the back of Toido's manual controls activating his defence functions. Several small missiles and lasers shot out of every cannon that was hidden within Toido and the spider bots controlling the other Protolians were destroyed.

Sam saw the opportunity and seized it, he jumped to his feet quickly and ran straight for the receptacle with the Pendant in his hand.

"Lurkis stop Siamisha!" Adimniss ordered but Candillice stepped in the way and swung her sword at Lurkis other tooth causing it to shatter.

Lurkis screamed and ran away jumping off the spire.

The Protolians were freed and with sirens blazing they played an automated sound loop.

"Adimniss stop you are under arrest!" Repeated loudly as the Protolians ran at her and held her down in order to subdue the wanted Galactic criminal.
