"Y/n!" I turned around at the familiar voice yelling my name across the empty corridor. "We need to talk."

"Harry!" I said, faking a smile as I made a few steps towards him. "I'm actually on my way to see Malfoy. Can this wait?" While that was true, it definitely wasn't for the same reason Harry was probably thinking.

"Seriously, I know what you're doing," He snapped back, the anger in his voice prominent. "You need to stop." I rolled my eyes at his comment but felt more than accomplished to finally have him at the point I wanted him.

"You don't tell me what I can and can't do, Harry," I replied calmly, a smirk on my face as I leaned against the brick walls of the corridor.

"Look, I'm really sorry that I didn't tell you. I thought I was doing the right thing but I know that it was stupid now." His features became softer and he gave me an apologetic smile before his expression turned serious again. "But messing around with Malfoy just to get back at me-" He cut himself off with a frustrated sigh.

"Well it worked, didn't it?" I asked, my smirk turning into a genuine smile. "God knows how long it would've taken you to apologise otherwise.."

He shook his head slowly, not quite sure what to answer. "Just promise me that you'll stop now?"

"I'll see what I can do," I said, followed by a wink.

"Y/n.." His voice was serious and the smile on my face faded slowly. "Yeah, of course I will." I said quickly, giving him the answer he wanted to hear. "But don't think this little apology is all it'll take for me to forgive you," I warned. "What you did was absolutely horrible."

He nodded quickly, "I know, I will figure it out. Trust me."

I pushed myself off the wall and walked towards the potions classroom, an amused smile on my lips. "Too soon," was the last thing I said to Harry before disappearing around the corner.

I felt proud of myself. I loved when my plans turned out exactly the way I planned them to. I wonder what the final straw was?

I walked into the room with an accomplished smile that couldn't even be ruined by Malfoy. He noticed me, but didn't bother acknowledging it.

"I knew you liked me, but I didn't know you were that eager to see me," I said with a smirk, quoting his own words from last week.

"I knew you liked me, but I didn't know you remember every single word I say to you," He rebutted proudly, a small smirk forming on his face. I just rolled my eyes and took a seat opposite of him.

"Let's just get this over with," I sighed in defeat and placed my books on the table.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves," He began, pushing my books to the side of the table. I furrowed my brows in confusion, not really sure where this was going. "You owe me."

I scrunched my nose at Malfoy's comment. I owed him? "For what?"

"For making me spend time with you, of course." He said, as if that were the terms we agreed on in the beginning. They definitely weren't.

"Don't fool yourself, Malfoy. We both know you enjoyed it," I said with an innocent smile, an eyebrow raised suggestively. "Apart from that, you won't have to anymore. Harry apologised."

It took him a while to say anything, seemingly lost in his thoughts for a minute before snapping back out.

"That's not the point, Potter." His head was turned away from me, his attention on one of the cauldrons in the shelf next to us.

Was he not going to deny it? That was odd. Definitely not like him, at all. "I want to know what Snape and Dumbledore were talking about last night. And I know you know," He said sternly, still not looking at me.

I sighed at the memory of their conversation. He wasn't quite right with his statement. While I knew what they were talking about regarding Harry and I, I had no clue what the Lupin thing was all about. So, I decided to just stick with that part of the truth.

"I'm telling you Malfoy, I have no idea what they were talking about." I assured, trying to make myself seem as trustworthy as I could.

He shook his head, an amused smile appearing on his face. "I know you're lying, Potter. Tell me, you know I'll find out sooner or later anyway."

"There's nothing to find out. Not from me, anyway." An eye roll accompanied the annoyed expression on my face.

"Oh, would you look at that!" He exclaimed, looking at one of the empty pieces of parchment in front of him. "Looks like today's lesson is all about truth potions." His smirk grew as the words left his mouth and he pulled out a small bottle of liquid, presumably filled with Veritaserum.

"You can't do that, I'll tell Snape!" I threatened at the realisation of his plan, my eyes wide.

"Tell him what? That I wanted to find out why you tried to sneak out of the great hall? Or better, what you know about the conversation they had that we were both listening to?" He shook his head in amusement once more, knowing neither of these were viable options for me.

I thought for a while before a big smirk appeared on my face as well. "I'll just tell him you're trying to use it to find out if I like you back!" I said, a victorious smile on my lips.

"I don't like you!" He spat back quickly, his voice full of disgust. I raised an eyebrow. "He doesn't know that, does he? And with the way we've been spending time together-" His threatening glare cut me off and I decided it was probably better for me to keep quiet for now. I made my point.

"Alright, fine." He groaned, putting the little flask back in his pocket. "Like you said, let's just get this over with, then."
