Until now, the windows in the room looking out into the manor's front yard never interested me much. Not after I realised they were hexed shut and not my way out.

I tried to pay as little attention to them as possible, seeing as every look out of them reminded me of the circumstances I found myself in.

That, and the fact nothing was ever seen in the yard, anyway. Death Eaters usually apparated in and out of the manor, and the path leading up the large gate probably hasn't been used in decades.

Not until today, that was.

Like most days, it was a grey and rainy outside; dark enough for me to not even notice the eight figures walking up to the manor right away.

Though, once I did, it was like I was glued to the window, hoping to make out who they were.

Nothing ever happened while I was locked up in here, so this was a nice change of routine that was definitely needed.

I watched the group walk further up the gate, standing still in front of it until I noticed no other than Bellatrix LeStrange opening it for them. My eyes squinted together tightly in hopes I'd be able to recognise a face or two, though I couldn't do anything of the sort.

Not until they came closer and closer.

The first thing I noticed was that half of them definitely weren't here for their own pleasure. They'd been grabbed by their jackets or arms as they were dragged along up to the entrance.

The second thing I noticed was that fiery red hair.

I gasped, eyes dragging over to the other three, cursing out loud once I recognised them.

I didn't have to see their faces to know I was looking right at Ron, Hermione, Wren and Harry before the eight of them disappeared into the house.

My eyes were wide as my breathing picked up, trying to wrap my head around the millions of possibilities in which this could end absolutely terribly.

I was pacing around the room restlessly; more desperate than ever to get out of it as a gentle knock on the door had me halt in my movements cautiously.

Not a second later, the door pushed open seemingly all on its own before my gaze lowered landing right on the small figure of a house-elf; Larbey.

"My apologies, Miss. Larbey did not mean to barge in here and disturb your peace," She uttered immediately, eyes glued to the floor as she bowed her head down slightly. "But you must come with Larbey at once, Miss. Oh, you must!" She shuddered as the words left her mouth.

Simultaneously, she quickly walked towards me, grabbing my hand and dragging me along with her out of the room.

Everything was happening so fast I didn't manage to say a single word in response. And before I could, she apparated us.

For a moment, I wasn't quite sure where we landed. But the walls, floors, and ceilings were still the same; letting me know we were just in a different part of the house. Our surroundings were louder now, and out of reflex, I grabbed Larbey's small hand a little tighter.

We exchanged a quick look, and unfortunately, she looked just as terrified as I was. She nodded down the stairs before her eyes widened as if she had just remembered the most important detail of the whole thing.

"Stupid Larbey, stupid Larbey, stupid Larbey," She muttered quietly hitting her own head before disappearing at once, leaving me standing between to options; down to the Dungeons, or up to where the noise was coming from.

Just as I turned to hurry down the stairs, hoping to see any of the familiar faces down there, I registered a deafening scream echoing through the large room upstairs that made me stop in my movement as a chill ran down my spine.

I knew exactly who that was, and I knew exactly what was happening up there.

I wondered if I had sounded the same when Bellatrix did what she was currently doing to Hermione, to me.

The thought of how awful that day was crept back into my mind and the fact I could go up there and put an end to Hermione's suffering was enough to make me turn on my heels to walk up the stairs, instead.

Though, before I had the chance to, I heard footsteps shuffling towards me, and I changed my mind once more as I hurried behind the corner of the staircase, my back pressing against the wall tightly.

I didn't know who exactly was making their way down here, but rest assured whoever found me wouldn't be too pleased about it.

The footsteps came closer and closer, on the same level as I was now, and surely about to round the corner I was standing against as I heard a dull crack, and my attention snapped to my left.

"Larbey is terribly sorry, Miss," Larbey mumbled, extending her arm towards me, her tiny little hands clutching around my wand tightly.

"Oh my god," I gasped lowly, eyes even wider now as I kneeled in front of her and took it out of her hands gently. "Thank you so much, Larbey."

She nodded proudly, though her facial expression quickly contorted into one of horror before she disappeared with the snap of her fingers once more.

I knew exactly what the sudden disappearance was about, and before they turned the corner, I cast a disillusionment charm on myself.

I recognised the man stepping into my field of vision just moments later as one of the more known Death Eaters around here but didn't put much further thought into it.

He quickly walked down the stairs, turning around and checking all his angles before opening the door to the dungeon downstairs.

Seeing as I wasn't standing down there yet, I could still feel my magic and quickly made good use of it as I knocked him out with a nonverbal.

His wand flew in my hand right after, but I quickly diverted my attention back down the stairs. I had to overcome my initial reaction to squeal loudly as I laid eyes on my brother, Ron and Wren.

I didn't think I was ever happier to see Ron Weasley before.

"Who gets his wand?" I asked curiously, watching their facial expressions fall in utter disbelieve as my gaze flickered back and forth between them and the wand in my hand.

Wren didn't look nearly as shocked to see me, for obvious reason. After all, she probably expected me to be here.

It didn't seem like she told my brother about any of that, though.

"Took you long enough," was the first thing anyone said; the words dripping in sarcasm coming out of Wren's mouth, of course. I rolled my eyes at her before urging them to come up the stairs.

"Y/n!" Harry exclaimed, finally managing to get out a word. He was the first to jump up the stairs; two at a time. His hands on my shoulders, he knitted his brows together tightly. "What the bloody hell are you doing here?"

"Long story that we do not have time for right now," I quickly explained, leaving him probably less satisfied than he was before. When I noticed he was about to argue with me, I quickly cast a Muffliatio to make sure nobody noticed the three of them escaped.

"No, no, no," He quickly corrected, his hands on my shoulders tightening around them. I sighed. "You're supposed to be fine. Staying at Hogwarts over the holidays. You wrote to me- countless times. You're not supposed to be here! With them!" He murmured, his voice picking up towards the end of his sentence.

I shook my head quickly, eyes darting over to Wren for a mere second.

"Harry, mate, do you really think this is the time-"

"Yes!" He hissed in return, Ron backing up at his sudden demeanour. "Yes, it absolutely is the time to find out why my little sister is in Malfoy Manor- their headquarter!"

"No, Harry. He's right." I never thought I'd get to see the day Wren Inkwood would agree with Ron Weasley. But even I had to, on this one.

I'd even say I was grateful for his comment.

"-No... why-" My brother stumbled over his own words a few times, failing to form a coherent sentence in the heat of the moment. He ended his attempts with a loud sigh as he turned back around to look at both Ron and Wren. "She's not supposed to be here-"

"But I am," I quickly interrupted before this dragged out even longer. "So, now, just be grateful I got you out of there and move on. Please?" I urged, not even waiting for him to say something before I turned around to climb up the last flight of stairs quietly.

All three of them followed me without another word.

A/N: Currently working on making a backup of this story on here. Starting tomorrow, I'll be uploading on the back-up and unpublishing this story until this crazy shit on Wattpad passes. (Just changed my mind and I'm still deciding what to do lol)

I'm not quite sure why stories are being deleted atm, but I don't really want to risk it. I'll be spending the night copying and pasting my chapters into the backup (kill me) until all the chapters are there and you can pick up reading where you left off!

It sucks because this story is coming to an end and now the flow gets disrupted, so I'm currently really angry with Wattpad LMFAO

Once I'm free, I'll also be uploading this story on ao3.

As if I'm not stressed enough already :))))

Have a good day, regardless!
