Wren didn't even ask why I didn't tell her about her mother before.

How could I have been selfish enough to think she'd be concerned about why I did anything when she had to digest her own mother being a death eater?

By lunch, she still hadn't left the room. And knowing her, she'd make a go for it once everyone else was in the great hall; leaving the confinement of our dormitory to get some fresh air without running into anyone.

I went to sit with Luna to tell her Wren wouldn't be making it today, though the girl wasn't there, either.

A little disappointed, I went to sit down at my usual spot at the Slytherin table; Blaise already sitting opposite it this time.

For a while, we ignored each other, I stabbed the food on my plate, pushing it back and forth while glancing at Draco across the table every now and then.

The way he looked at me showed me he knew what happened this morning, and I was glad I didn't have to explain.

"Tell me, Potter, does your mood gradually get worse the further we go along in the week?" Blaise asked, amused, scanning my miserable expression with a slight smirk.

"Seems to be the case, doesn't it?" I muttered, shoving a single piece of roast potato into my mouth.

My attention was quickly drawn away from Blaise when no other than Luna Lovegood walked into the Great Hall. She looked less content than she usually did.

If I wanted to talk to her, I'd have to wait until after lunch. So, for the rest of it, my eyes darted back towards the Ravenclaw table numerous times in hopes I'd catch the exact moment she'd leave it.

When she did, I got up a little too quickly, almost kicking my plate off the table completely before hitting my knee on the corner of the table.

I hissed at the pain, though quickly managed to follow her out, the clattering of my plate ringing in my ear before I was too far to hear.

Fast-paced, I darted around the corner, spotting the blonde girl just as she walked up the short flight of stairs. "Luna!"

She turned around swiftly, waving me towards her with a small smile on her lips.

Relieved that I didn't have to follow her through half the castle before she noticed me, I hurried the rest of the stairs up before my chest deflated and I sighed loudly at the unexpected cardio.

"Oh my- how could I forget," She suddenly gasped, a small pout finding itself on her lips. "Come on," She nodded down the corridor before beginning to walk the same way without so much as an explanation.

With a confused look on my face, I followed her.

"Have you spoken to Wren?" I didn't think she had an opportunity yet, though, it seemed like the easiest way to start the conversation.

To my surprise, she replied with a faint, "Yes," and the nod of her head. "Just before lunch," She explained just as we began climbing a steep spiral staircase.

I don't remember ever walking up here.

"She's never asked for time alone before, so it must be something pretty important," She said in a soft voice, turning her head to give me a faint smile. It was the first time I saw a hint of worry in her eyes. "I do hope she's alright."

I would've thought she'd tell Luna, of all people, about it as soon as she could. Obviously, she didn't, though, and I'm sure she had her reasons.

"Yeah, me too."

Our conversation ended swiftly as we reached the top of the staircase, and I was looking at nothing but a door. The first thing I noticed about it the knocker in the shape of an eagle. The second thing the fact there was neither a doorknob nor a keyhole.

Without hesitation, Luna knocked on the door three times before taking a step back.

"When you need me, you throw me away. But when you're done with me, you bring me back. What am I?"

I quickly realised where she was taking me now.

Without much effort, she replied with "An anchor," making sure her words were spoken coherently.

The heavy door opened right after, and I realised Ravenclaw was definitely not the house for me. I'm simply not the riddle type.

"Are you sure-?" I asked a little hesitantly, Luna already halfway through the door.

"You can wait here, if you want. But everyone likes seeing a fresh face every once in a while."

After all, curiosity took over rather quickly, and I wasn't even sure if there was a rule that stated you weren't allowed in other common rooms, anyway.

I found myself in a wide, circular room; the windows, beautifully arched, punctuated the walls in between paintings, giving a beautiful view of the Hogwarts grounds.

The white marble statue of a woman decorated the space next to the door, presumably leading up to the dormitories.

The common room was furnished with blue tables, chairs, and a divan I fell in love with as soon as I laid my eyes upon it.

And yet, all that seemed almost irrelevant when you looked up at the ceiling.

Like the Great Hall used to present, it was charmed to show a midnight blue night sky, stars, and whole galaxies shining within it. It was more detailed than the one in the hall; maybe because it was closer here.

I couldn't possibly take my eyes off it, and I didn't until Luna tucked on the hem of my uniform gently. My attention fell onto her before I realised the curious pairs of eyes on me.

I shot the handful of Ravenclaw's a nervous smile, not quite sure why they were all staring.

And I was a little confused when they simply smiled back before diverting their attention back onto whatever they were doing before. Maybe it was because I was used to Slytherin's hostility that their casual, welcoming attitude caught me off guard.

With another pleased huff, I followed Luna towards the only other door in the room, and, indeed, landed in the corridor of the dorms. She led me into the third door on the right, the general Ravenclaw colours prominent in it, too.

Midnight blue and bronze gave the dorm a certain hint of royalty, and once more, I found myself in complete awe of how beautiful it was.

"I only really have this because Harry thought Wren would be too nosy," She began, opening the drawer of a nightstand and fishing around in it a little. "He said he wouldn't be able to give it to you in person, and seeing how the night of the wedding ended, it all turned out rather well, I suppose."

She turned around, in her hand a little object wrapped in a dark cloth. I furrowed my brows in confusion when she handed it over to me.

For a while, I just looked at the ominous thing in between my fingers, not quite sure what to do with it.

"What is it?" I wondered out loud, not taking my eyes off of it.

She hummed in amusement just as she closed the drawer again. "I'm pretty sure you'd have to unwrap to find out. I didn't look, and Harry didn't say anything else."

I knew if I were her, I would've definitely looked. Especially because it's been in her possession since the wedding. But, for that exact reason, Harry gave it to Luna, and not to Wren.

Because Luna wouldn't even play with the idea of checking what it was. To the point where she had forgotten it was even in her possession, in the first place.

"Maybe I'll go do that now, then."
