"Could it be?" - "Y/n Potter?"

I turned around at the two familiar voice, a grin spreading across my lips as Fred and George both stood in front of me, an excited expression on both of their faces.

"Back from the dead!" They finished their sentence in unison, pulling me into a big hug afterwards.

"You know you'd miss me too much if I were gone for good," I shrugged, and though they knew I was right, they were too busy excessively rolling their eyes.

The sight was amusing, to say the least, and had a singular laugh escape my mouth. I shook my head at them before shovelling the first bite of cake into my mouth, the taste making a content sigh leave my lips.

"And she brought her boyfriend. Look, Freddie," George continued, nodding in Draco's direction; Fred's eyes following his gaze just like mine had.

He was sitting at one of the round tables with Wren and Luna, looking like he was holding a rather serious conversation with both of them.

As if he noticed my eyes on him, his head casually turned in our direction, eyes flickering over the Weasley twins before lingering on me. He raised his brows, silently asking why we were practically staring at him.

I simply shook my head at his question, letting him know there was no particular reason. Though, I couldn't help the small smile creeping onto my lips at the prolonged eye contact.

At the same time as he turned away with a smirk on his lips, so did I.

"Well, personally I think it's good you're introducing him to the family already. Can never start too early with that. Isn't that right, George?" Fred teased, nudging my side and earning himself a stifled laugh as well as an eye roll.

"Couldn't have said it better myself, Fred. Especially with the, well, the conflict of interest," He laughed, pointing to his left ear that was covered by a band-aid wrapping around his whole head.

"A conflict of interest, is it?" I mumbled, shaking my head at his light choice of words. "Might be a bit more than just that, don't you think?" A humourless laugh escaped my mouth as I turned his head to have a look at the injury. "What happened?"

"Oh, nothing, really," He shrugged, a smirk spreading across his face. "Just good ol' Snape cursing my ear off while we were taking your brother here. Same old, same old," He explained casually.

"Well, he never could stand either of you," I joked back, not wanting to ruin the rather joyful atmosphere with the seriousness of the situation.

Though, in my head, my brain was running overtime at the revelation.

Up until now, I pretty much gave Snape the benefit of the doubt.

Just like with Draco, there could've been something Voldemort held over his head. He could have had valid reasons for doing what he did-a higher purpose for it all.

But I didn't really see a higher purpose in cursing George Weasley's ear off when they were trying to get my brother to safety.

So, at this point, he was simply one of them. No questions asked-no benefit of the doubt.

I shook my head to snap myself out of my thoughts, plastering on a smile when I looked back up at them. "So, family, huh?" I wondered out loud, Fred's words reminiscing in my ears as a genuine smile replaced the fake one.

"Yeah, family," Fred rolled his eyes, mocking the way I said it. "What? You've got a better offer lining up somewhere?" He joked, pretending to look around the tent with wide eyes.

I never had an offer before, to begin with.

"Well, I'd have to let the others know I'm politely declining theirs, of course," I mumbled through another mouthful of cake, though this time instead of the lemon flavour, it was strawberry.

They both huffed in amusement before giving me their sweetest smiles. Sometimes, their mannerism was so similar it scared me a little bit.

But, then again, knowing them, that was probably the whole point.

"Seriously though, I'm glad you're okay," George exclaimed, his voice softer than usual.

"We are," Fred chimed in, hitting his brother's shoulder as if offended he forgot to mention him.

I tilted my head, eyes flickering back and forth between the two of them as a wide smile spread across my face, and I pulled each of them into a tight hug once more.

"Any more hugging and you'll have to take it up with him," Hermione's voice chimed in as she approached our little group, nodding towards Draco.

"Bring it on," George laughed, making both Hermione and Fred snicker in amusement.

"Let's not have you lose that second ear of yours, too," The girl retorted with an eye roll before her focus fell on me. "Harry wanted to talk to you," She informed, amusement finding its way to her face at her thoughts. "But he didn't want to disturb you in case you're currently in the process of catching feelings for either of them," She nodded towards the twins. "And therefore losing them for Draco."

A small laugh escaped her lips at how ridiculous the words coming out of her mouth sounded, and she shook her head accordingly.

"Merlin's beard," I groaned, my eyes flickering through the room to find my brother intensely watching our conversation from the other side of the room.

I rolled my eyes as we made eye contact before grimacing and shaking my head in his direction. "I'll go assure him that that's not gonna happen, then. He'll be delighted to hear it," I laughed lowly beginning to make my way over to him and Ron.

The twins forced out an amused "Ouch," at my words, though my back was already turned as Hermione dragged me along with her.

For the rest of the evening, Harry wouldn't leave my side. It's like we were attached at the hip. Where I went, he went. He was lucky I've missed him like crazy; otherwise, I probably wouldn't be able to stand it.

Even when I made my way over to Draco, Wren, and Luna; He came. And he stayed, too, which was probably even more of a shock than the initial tagging along.

"You just can't help it, can you?" I whispered in Draco's ear, an amused tone in my voice after he pulled me onto his lap, Harry grimacing at the sight.

"No idea what you're talking about," He mumbled back, a smirk on his lips as he pretended to listen to Wren and Luna's conversation.

"Oh, so you're not trying to get under my brother's skin? My bad," I huffed, rolling my eyes, though, leaning further into his chest as a deep laugh rumbled through it.

"Never," He said, and with another laugh, I focused back onto the ongoing conversation around us. To my surprise, even Harry was part of it.

Well, he was until he suddenly got up, his head tilted towards the ceiling of the tent, lips slightly parted.

He moved further into the centre of it as if he was watching something that wasn't even there.

Our conversation had slowly faded out; all of our heads turned to look at Harry.

"Harry? Are you-"

My question was swiftly interrupted as a flashing white orb dashed through the tent into the centre of it, hovering in the air as it came to a halt.

Gasps were roaring through the crowd. People getting off their seats and gradually circling the glowing light. Harry one of them.

Though, I was completely frozen in place.

"The Ministry has fallen."

Eery screams were heard from the same place the voice came from. The orb now showing people running, screaming, pleading for their lives.

Nobody moved.

"The minister of magic is dead."

Wary looks and glances were exchanged. Eyes widening in shock and horror. Some moving closer to the orb, but nobody leaving.

My grip on Draco's shoulder tightened, my breathing growing heavy and irregular at the words spoken. But I kept my eyes locked on the orb.

"They are coming. They are coming."

At that, my eyes locked with his. Both of us an equally terrified expression on our faces.

A/N: Well the peace and quiet lasted rather short, didn't it? lol
