[Draco]

Draco and Harry clinked their glasses once again in their protective little dome on the freshly mown lawn of the park beside their mansion.

"I really love this, thank you so much." Harry sipped his wine and caressed Draco's cheek.

Draco cast a series of protective spells so that they would have a tiny secluded and private area entirely to themselves.

"This is the exact spot you laid down stupidly nearly three years ago," Draco quipped, patting the grass beneath them.

"Mm, and I don't regret it for a bit." Harry kissed his cheek, resuming on his treacle tart.

They were both full and warm, bathing in the warm summer night breeze.

Draco reached for his wand. A blossom of mistletoe leaves burst out of its tip and hung in the middle of the air.

Harry set down his plate and grinned crookedly. "Mistletoe? It's July! You tacky little bastard!"

Draco got to his feet and pulled Harry up. "Watch who you're calling tacky," Draco warned, putting a finger to his lips. Gently, he traced the finger just under Harry's bottom lip. He leaned in and their lips met, Harry tasting warm and sweet and cuddly.

They embraced warmly under the mistletoe, swaying slightly to their own rhythm.

"Do you know why I did this today, Harry?" Draco whispered softly into his hair.

"Hm? There's a reason? I just thought it was because you're the best boyfriend," Harry teased.

"Oh yes, of course, that's part of it," Draco chuckled a little. "But there's another reason why."

He kissed his hair. "Today is the thousandth day we've been together."

Harry lifted his head. "Really? Wow... a thousand days. That's incredible, isn't it?"

"It really is," Draco said, smiling. For some reason, he didn't feel nervous at all. It felt so right, only happiness and happiness only was coursing through his veins. Draco pulled back just a few inches, enough to let him gaze directly into Harry's eyes.

"I love you so much, Harry. You make me happy; you make me laugh; you make me want to be a better person. You are an awesome Auror, a caring friend, a wonderful godfather, and on top of all, the best boyfriend. I love you Harry, and I want to spend the rest of my life doing so."

Harry's eyes widened. "Draco- are- are you-"

Draco slowly got down on one knee, taking out the velvet box from his pocket. Propping it open, he looked lovingly into his boyfriend's emerald and now watery pupils.

"Harry James Potter, will you marry me?"

Harry let out a shaky cry.

"Yes, yes! A thousand times yes!"

Draco felt his own eyes swell with tears and he took Harry's hand, sliding the simple yet elegant diamond ring onto his finger.

He stood up and before he could, Harry grabbed the back of his head and pulled him into a passionate kiss.

They were both crying, but the newly-engaged fiancés couldn't be happier.

Their wedding took place a year later, two weeks after Harry turned twenty-four.

"I do."

"Do you, Draco Lucius Malfoy, take Harry James Potter to be your husband, through sickness and health, to love him, honor him, and comfort him, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

"You may exchange rings."

They now bore matching wedding bands on their ring fingers, the tiny string of metal gleaming in the sunlight.

"Harry and Draco, you have now affirmed your love for each other before your family and friends. And now, by the power vested in me, I present you: husband, and husband. You may kiss one another."

The reception was beautiful as well. The newlyweds held each other and rocked gently to the smooth jazz Harry had put on during the date they danced in Harry's living room.

As their first dance ended on a warm note, the musician held the microphone and announced, "Witches and Wizards, for the first time, Mr. and Mr. Malfoy-Potter!"
