[Harry]

The Daily Prophet sprang to life.

GOLDEN COUPLE ANNOUNCES SEPERATION, the bold headline wrote.

Announce my arse, Harry fumed in his head. Like they did a bloody interview and announced it to the whole bloody world. It must be one of those damn snipers at the ministry passing off the juicy tidbits to Rita Skeeter for buckets of gold again. He saw this coming, of course, but he was still wary to deal with it.

Thank Merlin it was written as a peaceful separation as it was. However, turns out, they were in an interview. They get more and more creative every buggering time.

It was a mutual decision, it read. Apparently, they said it together. At the same time.

We just wanted different things out of life. That was from Harry. Well, even though only in a parallel universe would the Merlin-forsaken interview had happened, that was technically true.

Harry heard Ginny padding out of their bedroom. She was neatly groomed but still in pajamas.

"Morning," she gave him a kiss in his hair, "My dear male companion." She giggled.

Harry laughed. He was about to give her a corny reply when her face stilled.

"Oh, for crying out loud."

Harry followed her gaze to the Prophet on the table. He gave her a weary sigh. "Yep."

Ginny fell into the chair beside him, defeat. "What did it say?"

"Well, apparently we were in an interview."

Ginny groaned.

"Aaand, we tend to say sentences together at the same time. It's improving though, at least it stated it as a peaceful and mutual separation."

"Good for them." She said drily. She eyed the headline again. "And announce my arse."

Harry chuckled and hugged her. "Aww, we are so alike." Ginny smiled and melted into his arms.

A sudden sadness dawned on him. It was the day of Ginny's leave. "I'm going to miss you around here," he said softly.

"I'm going to miss you, too, love."

---

The household felt empty. He watched as Ginny picked up the last bag of her belongings and stuffed it in the tiny pouch. With only Hermione's pouch slung over her shoulder, she looked as if she was just going away for a picnic at the park rather than away for the whole year.

Harry was crouched down, holding an unstable Teddy who was still a bit wobbly at walking. Teddy spent Saturdays at Harry's every week. They slowly made their way to the door where Ginny was standing.

Harry picked the squiggling boy up in his arms. "Say goodbye to Ginny?" He asked the round-eyed infant. "Phlbrrng," was the boy's wet response. Harry laughed a little and Ginny did, too.

"I'm going to miss you so much," Ginny said to the both of them as she wiped the bits of drool off Teddy's face with his bib.

She was wearing Harry's jumper. It was a little bit too big for her but Harry insisted that she take one in case it was chilly.

"Got everything?"

Ginny smiled and nodded. She pulled Harry and Teddy into a warm embrace.

"I'm so proud of you, you know that?"

She pulled back and gave a beam in response.

Harry didn't want to upset his w- female companion, so he held back his emotions.

"Wingardium Leviosa,"

He lifted the portkey with his wand.

"Owl me,"

"I will."

Ginny was tearing up a little. "Bye," she said shakily.

She grabbed hold of the portkey floating in midair and vanished.

"Bye."
