Inside Renna's apartment, Briella flopped down on the couch. She wore black workout leggings and a see-through pink workout shirt with a black sports bra underneath. Something Renna wouldn't have the courage to wear.

Renna changed into some comfy clothes. A pair of long white flowy pants, a tight black t-shirt, and a simple grey zip-up jacket.

While in her bedroom, she found a bag and packed some clothes. Pyjamas, work clothes, and underwear. She took her toothbrush, toothpaste, face cleanser, hairbrush and deodorant from the bathroom, and stuffed them into her bag. Grabbed her phone charger from beside her bed and threw that in too.

She traded her work canvas shoes for a pair of simple slip-on flats, grabbed her bag, and walked out to the living area. "Ready."

Briella—busying herself by flicking through tv stations—sat up and leaned on the back of the couch to look at her. Renna noticed her eyes flick down to her bag. "Are you staying the night?"

"I don't know."

"What do you mean you don't know." She turned the tv off and stood up, moving around the couch to stand in front of Renna.

"Levi's been asking me recently to stay over and I was thinking about it. If he asks me tonight, I might stay the night." Renna bit the inside of her cheek.

"What would you do?"

"Sleep." A smile pushed on Renna's mouth.

Briella titled her head and smirked at her smart comment. "So long it's what you want."

"It is."

She grinned. "Alright. Let's go."

Renna snatched up her work bag on the way out.

Briella talked about her excitement for her date all the way down to the car. Renna couldn't get a word in. All she could do was smile at her happiness. Briella's excitement leaked over to Renna, giving her a rapid beating heart for tonight.

Joy and thrill swirled around her stomach. Her nerves buzzed. She wanted to bounce on her toes. Tonight will be amazing and fun. I'm so excited.

They talked the entire drive over to the boys' apartment. Renna moved to get out of the car when she remembered her surprise for them. She reached into her bags and pulled out the cupcake box, opening it for Briella to see.

"Oh, they're so beautiful. You did these, Renna?"

Renna nodded, blushing and grinning like a child being praised. She picked out and handed one to Briella. "One is for you..." Picked up a second cupcake and held it out for her to take. "...and one is for Jensen."

"Awww. Thanks, Renna." She put the two cupcakes down on the dash, and pulled Renna in for a hug. "Have fun tonight. Text me to tell me if you're staying the night or not."

"Okay. You have fun too." She grabbed her bags and got out of the car.

Before she shut the door, Briella said, "Love you."

"Love you too." She shut the door and walked inside. Waiting at the elevator, she rocked back and forth on her feet.

Bing! She stepped forward as the doors opened and almost crashed into Jensen stepping out.

"Hey," he said, pushing his blue hair off his face.

"Hey."

He glanced down at her bags, and raised an eyebrow. "You're staying the night?"

"Yeah, maybe." She stepped around him to enter the elevator.

He turned to watch her, and stared as the doors began to close. Before they shut her in, he jumped forward, shoved his hand between them, and pushed the doors apart. "I think it would be best if you ate dinner with Levi and then went home."

She blinked at him. "What?"

"You don't need to stay here tonight."

Her mouth fell open. Why? Who is he to tell me what to do? "You—you don't have a say in that."

"It's my apartment too. Not yours."

"I'm allowed to stay if Levi wants me to." If Levi wants me there, I'm allowed to be there. It's his apartment. Jensen can't just kick me out.

He sighed and straightened up. Looking her in the eye, he said, "Go home, Renna. Eat dinner and go home." Before Renna could reply, he turned and walked away.

The doors shut before she could see him walk out the lobby doors. She stood in the small room, her stomach dropped from the upward movement, but she could only focus on Jensen's words. How dare he say something like that? I'm not going to leave just because he doesn't like me. He needs to get over it. If he doesn't want to see me when he gets home, he can lock himself in his bedroom. I don't have to—

Bing! She stepped out, leaving the thoughts and the infuriating conversation back in the elevator.

Pushing open Levi's apartment door without knocking, she held her breath, eager to see the plan for tonight. Déjà vu hit her as she found Levi on the couch playing a video game.

She wandered in. Stood behind the couch. "Hey."

"Hey, baby!" he said over his shoulder without taking his eyes off the screen. "Just give me a moment. I'll stop playing after this game."

She placed her bags down behind the couch and walked around to sit beside him.

The player on the screen jumped around, through destroyed buildings and over trash piles. A long gun came out of his back pocket to kill people that came around the corner. Renna watched the game. Glanced sideways to watch Levi concentrate hard on killing opponents. A quick look down from the screen, the second controller caught her eye. She reached forward to grab it.

Her thumbs rolled the joysticks around. Fingers pressed the buttons. She noticed the blue lights illuminating Levi's controller and nothing on hers. How do you turn it on?

"Ahh. Damn it!" Levi flopped backwards, dropping the controller on the couch beside him. The screen showed the character on the ground. 'GAME OVER' over top.

"I could play with you if you want to keep playing." She had always wanted to try playing video games, but never had the chance. Playing a game with Levi made her excited.

He look sideways at her. "Do you know how to play?"

"No, but I could figure it out." Or you could teach me. She gave him a smile.

"Nah," he said, placing the controller on the coffee table, standing up, and turning the tv off. "That'll take too long. Let's have some real fun." Renna started to stand to follow him, until he said, "Wait there."

She sat back down, but leaned over the back of the couch to watch him walk into his bedroom. While she waited, she fiddled with the controller. I wonder how long he will take to come back. She wondered if she should turn the tv back on and start up a game. It might be difficult but she could try to figure out how to play. Something just to waste time while Levi did whatever he was doing.

Staring at the controller with the blue lights sitting on the couch, she placed the other controller down. The other controller still held Levi's warmth. She glanced between the black tv screen and the controller, biting her lip.

As she leaned forward to press the tv on, Levi called out from his bedroom. "Okay. You can come here now."

She placed the controller on the coffee table and walked into Levi's bedroom.
