Chapter 6

"I'm so excited!" Lily giggled, clapping her hands together excitedly. Adria had never seen the girl act so differently before, although she was acting the exact same.

"Me too, there's so much to do!" Adria grinned, waiting outside the castle with the fellow students of her year. It was their first trip to Hogsmeade Village and Adria was ecstatic. Considering her fall out with Remus a few weeks ago, Adria had no one apart from Lily who was still trying to hold on to her friendship with Severus which usually resulted in Adria being bored most of the time. Adria wasn't complaining though, whilst she was mostly in her own company she would never ever want to go back to having no friends. Lily was her best friend, and nothing would every change that.

Adria had managed to spot the four boys out of the crowd, and it seemed they saw her too. Remus attempted to talk to her, which he had tried to do every time he spotted her but the girl would always walk away like both Lily and her did. Both Sirius and James had apologised to the girl, but Adria wasn't listening and again walked away. She knew that neither James nor Sirius would ever be sincere with their apology and didn't want to waste her time on them.

But this time, they actually had been sincere. They felt terrible, not only for the fact that they were the reason Remus had lost an incredibly close friend, but the foreign look of hurt on Adria's face was enough to plague them with more guilt.

Adria was fascinated when they arrived in the village, she had lived in Scotland her whole life but she had never seen a village so nice. The village she lived in didn't have as much shops scattered around, and there definitely wasn't a sweet shop.

She lived in a muggle community, with a small muggle school and a few shops here and there. There was nothing extravagant about it, it was rather plain and her house wasn't much of a prize either. Adria's family had moved around quite a lot, moving from town to village every few years but her parents seemed to like the current house they lived in.

A wide grin settled on Adria's face as she stood in the middle of the village next to Lily. She had never seen something so magical in her life, of course excluding Hogwarts. The sweetshop, Honeydukes caught Adria's eyes but there was much more to explore in the small village. There was a potions shop just a bit to the left, a Herbology shop, a wizards clothing shop, a musical instruments shop and she even saw a Jokes shop.

Zonko's joke shop was very near Honeydukes where Adria was set on going first, but what didn't surprise her in the slightest was the four boys, Sirius, Remus, James and Peter heading straight towards it. Adria made a note to stay clear of it until she knew that they had left.

"Where do you want to go first?" Lily asked, unable to keep the smile off of her face.

"Honeydukes!" Adria exclaimed instantly, pulling Lily's arm. The red head responded with laughter as they ran for the shop.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" Lily giggled, running with Adria straight into the already busy shop. Adria almost gasped when she saw the colourful insides of the shop, she was almost certain her eyes were going to fall out of her head as she scanned the dozens of sweets and chocolates which stacked the shelves. She and Lily shared a look of excitement before rushing off to explore the shops goods.

Adria must've spent over half an hour in the cramped shop, as soon as students left it seemed that more entered in with the same fascination in their eyes as Adria had. She had to stop herself from buying the entire shop, she of course wouldn't get very far considering she didn't have that much money and ended up buying a bag of chocoballs and a few sugar quills for the extremely boring classes she had to attend.

"I couldn't help myself!" Lily gasped, piling sweets upon sweets onto the counter. Adria giggled at the girls red face, looking around at the sea of students to see if anyone noticed the large amount of sweets on the counter, "I'll share them with you, anyway," Lily said, both girls laughing as the worker bagged the multiple sweets that Lily placed onto the counter. With a grin sent to the two girls, he pushed the bag into Lily's hand and bid them a goodbye.

"So, after buying all of Honeydukes, what do you want to do now?" Adria giggled, placing her sugar quills and chocoballs into Lily's bag.

"I really want to go to Tomes and Scrolls." Lily said, Adria nodded enthusiastically pulling the girl towards the bookshop, which resulted in her colliding with none other than Sirius Black.

An automatic scowl made its way onto the girls face as Lily helped her regain her balance, Sirius who was slightly taller than the girl, and didn't even laugh like Adria thought he would. In fact, none of the four boys laughed which surprised Adria greatly considering she'd think James would chuckle even slightly, they all just stopped. All four of them were silent as the six stared at each other, Adria made eye contact with both Sirius and Remus who had frowns on their faces as did she.

Before anyone could speak, Lily grabbed Adria's wrist and pulled her through the four boys. Without thinking, Adria turned her head to look at them, which resulted in her once again making eye contact with Sirius. Adria adverted her gaze as quickly as she looked, snapping her head around to see where she was going.

"That was weird," She whispered very quietly, shaking her head slightly.

"More like awkward," Lily scoffed, attempting to lighten the mood. Adria nodded slightly with a forced chuckle, holding the bookstore door open for Lily and her to enter.

Neither of the girls bought anything in Tomes and Scrolls but they did have a good time scrolling through the countless books on the shelves. None of the books suited Adria, since books that she liked to read were fairy tales written by muggles.

"I kind of want to go to Zonko's Joke shop." Adria suggested as they exited Tomes and Scrolls.

"I never pictured you as a joke kind of person," Lily laughed as they made their way towards the shop.

"I'm not much into magical pranks, but I want to see what wild stuff the shop can come up with." Adria giggled, walking into yet another busy shop.

Adria pushed past the multiple students, to find something that suited her fancy but nothing stood out to her. She wasn't much of a magical pranker, in fact, she had completely went off the idea of such pranks when she was the victim of the fours terrible ones.

"Lily Evans, I would never have thought you would buy anything from here!" Adria gasped over dramatically, watching Lily sit the multiple dungbombs onto the counter.

"I don't think I'll ever actually use them, but I guess in any extreme circumstance I could possibly, maybe use one." Lily shrugged, a laugh escaping her lips at the look on Adria's face.

"I can't argue with that," Adria giggled, exiting the shop with Lily trailing behind her.

"Should we go to the three broom sticks?" Lily asked, gesturing to the Pub just up from the Joke shop.

"Yes!" Adria nodded enthusiastically, heading to the pub with Lily once again trailing behind her.

Adria was overcome with warmth as she entered the very crowded Pub, she smiled at its old interior, whilst waiting for Lily who was having a bit of trouble pushing through the many people. A scowl formed on the girls face as she forcefully shoved people who wouldn't listen to her out of her way, which resulted in a few glares thrown in her way. Not that she cared.

"Oh great." Lily huffed, rolling her eyes. Adria furrowed her eyebrows in confusion until Lily gestured to something behind her. Of course, Adria thought as she stared at the table occupying the four boys.

Adria searched for a table furthest from theirs, which proved difficult as she realised just how busy the Pub was. She looked to Lily for help who merely shrugged her shoulders until she pulled her to a table which unfortunately was close to the four boys.

Lily offered to go up and order, to which Adria nodded as she continued to look around the Pubs inside. The pub was quite clouded with smoke, which didn't seem to faze Adria, it was much more welcoming which mattered more to her.

"Adria." Adria's shoulders slumped at the voice, her eyes averting from the small details the pub had to offer to the face of Sirius Black sitting in front of her.

"What do you want, Sirius?" Adria groaned, running a hand through her hair as she watched the boy, who was looking slightly anxious.

"Don't talk, please. Remus doesn't know I'm talking to you." Before Adria could argue that Remus was sitting very close, her eyes gazed at the table to see that the boy was missing, "You shouldn't be mad at Remus for something I did, I know what I did was stupid and embarrassing to you but it wasn't Remus' fault. Me and James forced him not to tell you, which is why he turned around because he wanted to. He had nothing to do with it, he didn't even know what we were going to do. We just said we were playing a small prank on you." Sirius breathed out, without taking a breath. Before Adria could even think of what to respond, Sirius was out of Lily's seat and back over at the table. A few minutes later, Adria watched Remus return to the table without any knowledge of what just happened.

Adria, whilst still angry at Sirius and James felt annoyingly guilty that she had ignored Remus. With the knowledge that Remus didn't know what was going to happen, she felt as if she should be the one apologising to him. She wanted Lily's opinion on the matter, but knew that if she attempted to tell her in here that Remus would definitely hear her.

Adria sighed, smiling at Lily who had returned with two glasses of Butterbeer gripped tightly in each of her hands. She thanked her, helping her set the two glasses carefully on the table.

"I've never had Butterbeer before," Adria said, taking a large gulp from her glass. A wide grin erupted onto her face as she sat down her glass, wiping her top lip rid of any foam that had managed to linger.

"Me neither, but I assume you like it!" Lily giggled, mimicking Adria's actions and wiping her lip.

"Do you not?" Adria frowned, picking up the glass once more to take a sip.

"No I do!" Lily nodded her head furiously, "It's amazing!"

"I was worried for a second!"

The two girls decided to return to the castle after the Butterbeer, they didn't share interest in much of the other shops in Hogsmeade and thought it wiser to return to the warmth of the Gryffindor common room.

"I had a strange conversation today," Adria muttered as the two girls walked back to the castle, "With Sirius Black." Adria turned her head back towards the village to see if said boy, or either of his friends were remotely close to them, but thankfully they weren't even in sight.

"When did this happen?" Lily asked with a frown, glancing at Adria.

"When you were away to get Butterbeer." Adria chuckled, "I feel quite guilty now, actually."

"What did he say to you?!" Lily spoke loudly, an angry look on her face. Adria was sure the girl was about to turn back to shout at the boy, but Adria caught her before she could do anything.

"He said that Remus didn't know about the prank, that he and James forced him not to say anything to me and that all he knew was that it was a minor prank," Adria whispered, glancing over her shoulder once more just to be sure.

"Oh," Lily said, a slight frown on her face, "that doesn't mean you should feel guilty, though. You didn't know that, as far as you were concerned Remus was in on it, but I think maybe you should talk to Remus?"

"I thought that too, but I don't know what to say," Adria sighed, Remus was a very good friend to her when they hadn't fallen out and she couldn't deny that she wanted their friendship back, now that she knew the truth.

"I will hit you if you apologise, you have nothing to apologise for." Lily warned her. Adria stayed silent, but offered the girl a small nod.

"When do you think I can talk to him?" Adria asked, slightly nervous. She was terrified of rejection, especially from someone who used to be her friend.

"Tonight probably, he's always in the common room." Lily shrugged, Adria nodded her head thinking over what she could do. She wasn't sure whether this was a good idea or not, but it was worth a shot.
