Chapter 21

Adria lay still in her bed the morning of boxing day, it was still pitch black from what she could see, which wasn't much seeing as her eyes were closed. Her brother was attempting to prank her, with the help of Sirius, but she could be a light sleeper when she wanted to be, which meant that she was awake for both Sirius and Benji scooshing cream onto both of her hands, and now currently, one of them tickled her nose with a feather.

She remained still for a few moments, twitching her nose to make it believable, which seemed to be working when she heard the two of them laughing quietly, but then suddenly, she reached her hands out in the direction of the voices, resulting in groans replacing the laughter.

"You can't out prank me," she muttered into the darkness, "also, that counts." She yawned as she turned over, wiping the excess whipped cream on who she believed was Sirius before closing to fall back asleep.

"What does she mean, counts?" Sirius asked after he and Benji cleaned themselves up.

"Well, it's the points system," Benji said as he handed Sirius a towel, "whoever's pranks are the most successful, and whoever's pranked the most, wins."

"And Adria always wins?" Sirius asked, walking out of the bathroom and into Benji's room where they decided to plan the prank. It was six in the morning, and still pitch black outside which would've been the perfect time to prank Adria.

"Yeah, you sound doubtful." Benji scoffed as he wiped his face dry.

"Well yeah," Sirius nodded, "I just don't see Adria as a prankster."

"Are you kidding, before she went to Hogwarts it was all she done." Benji scoffed, "what's she like at school?"

"The same really, except she doesn't condone the pranks I pull with my friends, and she mostly reads." He shrugged, "the last person I would think to like pranks would be Adria."

"Are people mean to her?" Benji asked, a frown on his lips at the question he always wanted to ask.

"No," Sirius shook his head, "before this year I had never spoken to her before, but I knew of her, everyone does. Everyone always talked about her, but she'd think you're lying if you told her that, and I mean talked about her in a good way, she was so weirdly mysterious that even my friends wanted to know her and we usually just stick to ourselves most of the time. Everyone just wants to know her, I still hear people talking about her whenever they pass and it's understandable really, she's great."

"Is she better than the girl you fancy?" Benji asked, "at Hogwarts?"

Sirius was quiet, suddenly lost for words at what to say to him, but instead he just smiled slightly and said, "well, I'd say they're the same." He bid Benji a quick goodbye before making his way back to Adria's room.

"You're awake," Sirius noted when he shut Adria's door and made his wake back to the sofa bed.

"Well two annoying idiots decided it was a great idea to attempt to prank me at six in the morning," Adria grumbled, "which counts as a point for me, by the way."

"We planned it!" Sirius exclaimed, earning an eye roll from Adria who scoffed.

"Did your plan workout for you and Benji?"

"Well, no-"

"Exactly," Adria smirked, "face it Black, I'm a champion."

"You'll meet your match," Sirius scoffed, "one day."

"Yep, well not today," Adria grinned as she lay back down.

Adria creeped around her roomed silently the morning after boxing day, after the day of the prank Sirius and Benji pulled, Adria thought she should teach the boys how to prank properly. She creeped to her cabinet filled with props for her pranks, which she now had to lock just in case Sirius wanted to go snooping.

She grabbed two of the buckets she kept stored in there, tape and string and a box of red hair dye she bought yesterday when Sirius was with Alina and Benji. She was light on her feet, thankfully, and she managed to manouver her way around the creaks that her floor had to reach Sirius' bed.

She cringed at how loud the tape was but Sirius didn't move as he slept peacefully, his mouth parted slightly and his hair slightly shielding his face, what an idiot, she thought, an adorable idiot.

She taped the string to the wall, pulling it when she needed to and leaving it hanging when she crept to the bathroom with the two buckets. As much as she would love to fill the buckets with something much more disgusting than water, she was on a time limit and needed to make sure no one caught her.

She crept back to her room with the buckets swinging carefully from each hand, trying her best to supress her grin as she placed the buckets down. An idea popped into her head as she crept quickly to her cabinet, bringing out old eggs that she had left in there and unsure if they where out of date, she cracked them into the buckets, almost gagging when the smell hut her nostrils.

She tried to work quickly after that, regretting her decision to crack the eggs when the smell was all over her room. She couldn't help the grin on her face when she finished her work on Sirius, all he had to do was sit up in the bed and he'd be dumped with the bucket.

She grabbed her props and crept down the hall to Benji's room where his snores where loud enough for her to walk around without him even knowing. She taped the string to the wall, fixing the string, before tying the bucket to the end and making sure Benji would nudge it when he moved so that the bucket would pour down on top of him.

With the box of hair dye she crept to the bathroom where she was sure Sirius would need to shower after the events of her prank, she grabbed the shampoo she knew he was using, seeing as her mother bought it for him, and dumped the red hair dye in after shaking it. She made sure it wasn't completely obvious that it was mixed with dye, and was thankful that it wasn't a transparent bottle.

She crept quietly back to her room when the sun was finally rising, glancing at Sirius who was still sleeping contently, and made her way back to bed where she fell asleep with a smirk on her face.

"Adria!" the girl jumped awake to see Sirius sitting up in his bed drenched in the water filled with definitely rotten eggs.

"Point to me!" she grinned, dodging a wet pillow that he threw at her head.

"Oh my god, it stinks!" He coughed, his nose scrunching as he stood from the bed where Adria could see clearly just how drenched he was. He started walking to the door as Adria laughed, reaching out her hand to stop him.

"Where are you going?" she laughed, her eyebrow raised as she tried to be completely casual.

"To take a shower, seeing as I was just drenched in satan's tears!" he exclaimed, earning a laugh from Adria that she tried to supress.

"I'll get you towels," she chuckled, pushing herself up from her bed and out of the door behind Sirius where she got two towels for him.

"Glad to see you can still be nice," he huffed.

"I think you'll need some new clothes when you come out of the shower, Sirius." Adria chuckled, pointing to his clothes that smelled horrendous.

"You're right," he muttered, walking to the bathroom to sit the towels, before walking back to Adria's room to get new clothes. Adria trailed behind him, picking up her new camera, which she hadn't put down. Pictures littered her bedside table, cabinet and the full house of pictures she had took.

"Sirius," she said, watching as he turned around and quickly snapping a photo of him.

"Adria!" he groaned, throwing his head back whilst she laughed.

"It's memories!" she exclaimed, shaking her head as he walked out of the room and she fell back down on her bed to fall asleep.

"I'm going to kill her!" Adria heard, causing her eyes to flutter open when she awoken from a small sleep, she covered her mouth to hold in her giggles as she braced herself from what was to come.

Sirius barged into her room with Benji following his lead, and even though his hair was dripping wet, it was rather obvious that Sirius' hair had turned a bright shade of red. Adria gasped as she let the giggles fall from her mouth at the sight of an angry Sirius with red hair, and a shocked Benji with hot pink hair. She grabbed her camera, snapping a picture of the both of them, and their reactions.

"Oh look, it's Lily Evans long lost brother!" Adria exclaimed, laughing loudly at her own joke as she dodged a pillow that Sirius threw at her.

"No one messes with my hair, Adria!" Sirius exclaimed, running a hand through his long, previously black but now red hair.

"That dye worked really well!" Adria grinned, "especially since your hair is so dark." She fell into another fit of giggles, wiping tears from her eyes.

"This isn't funny!" he groaned, "I have to go to school like this in a week!"

"Well it's payback for when I had to walk around the school drenched in mud!" she exclaimed, earning a look from Sirius.

"We apologised!" He huffed, looking in the mirror in Adria's room with a look of distraught.

"I don't suit red hair!" he shrieked, "I need my black hair back!"

"It's temporary die, Sirius, it'll fade in like a month." She scoffed, shaking her head slightly at how dramatic he was.

"A month?!" he exclaimed, "my hair can't cope with a month!"

"We'll it's gonna have to!" Adria said, looking at his hair before falling into another fit of giggles.

The holidays after Adria's perfect prank was uneventful apart from the multiple pranks the boys had tried to play on Adria, and failed, and well the same for Adria except she only failed a few times.

The boys did manage to get Adria a couple of times when she didn't expect it at all, a weakness of hers was Disney films, she was never on her guard whilst watching a Disney film and the boys had managed to prank her easily. It was a simple prank really, not much planning went into it as they had to work in under two hours.

They had made her a cup of tea, well Judy did seeing as neither of the boys knew how to make one, and when Judy wasn't looking, they poured as much salt as they could in it, without making it too obvious.

Adria almost had a heart attack when she tasted it, and the boys victory was sweet, or the exact opposite in this case.

The other few pranks where minor, but managed to give them a large amount of victory, even though Adria ultimately won the prank war. Seeing as the holdays where almost over, Sirius had been forced to agree to become a maid for Adria for two weeks at Hogwarts. Which meant Hot Chocolate whenever she wanted and not needing to carry her books, because he would do it for her.

She was enjoying it already and it hadn't even started. For the time being, she was working Benji extra hard, making him do the simplest of tasks, but she had one thing to do before she left for Hogwarts in a few days and it was talk to Alfie.

She was outside his door, unsure if she should knock or not. She knew that Abigail wasn't here, but she knew she shouldn't barge in to his room. She sighed, her shoulders slumping as she finally knocked three times on his door.

"Come in," Alfie called, Adria sighed as she pushed his door open, seeing him roll his eyes at the sight of her.

"No one important," Adria said, catching his attention, "just the freak of the house."

"Adria I didn't mea-"

"Why did you say that, Alfie?" she asked as she close his door, "you where always the most supportive of me going off to Hogwarts, you're one of my best friends, just like Benji but you act completely different this Christmas, is it because of Abigail? I need to explain to my friend that you aren't as bad as it seems, because it seems pretty terrible, Alfie! You called me and my friend freaks!"

"I called you a freak, because of your friend, Adria!" he shouted, earning a look of disbelief from Adria as she leaned against the door, "you've always been with me, and Benji and Alina and it's always just been us four, and we laughed and joked and that was it but suddenly you have Sirius and you've spent the majority of Christmas with him and I barely got to see you at all!"

"Because you've been with Abigail, don't you get that, Alfie? You spend all of your time with Abigail that even if Sirius wasn't here I'd still not spend time with you!" she shrieked.

"Why do you hate her so much?!"

"Because she's so bloody irritating, she's so mean, Alfie, she loves that we aren't talking, and she treats me as if I'm five!" Adria groaned, extremely frustrated that their talk wasn't going in a nice direction.

"Well it's a good thing I broke up with her then, isn't it?" Alfie grumbled bitterly.

"You what?" Adria gasped, her eyes wide as she looked at her older brother.

"Yeah," he nodded, "kept going on about how better of my life is without you in It, so I told her to piss off and get out of my house, because a life without you Adria, is not a life worth living. I was so blinded by her that I didn't realise how evil she was, everyone bloody hates her and I didn't even know."

"Alfie," Adria sighed, unable to stay mad at him as she walked towards his bed, "you could've told me," she whispered, wrapping her arms around him in a hug.

"We weren't talking," he chuckled, his arms wrapping around his younger sister tightly.

"I would've talked to you if you told me that, Alf." She sighed, "Sirius is my friend, okay? And I had a great Christmas this year with him here, but that doesn't mean I couldn't have spent time with you. I spent plenty of time with Alina and Benji, and now Benji and Sirius are friends, as well as Sirius and Alina, you could've always joined us."

"Yeah and now Sirius doesn't like me," he sighed, shaking his head.

"He doesn't not like you," Adria sighed, "but I don't think anyone would be overly fond of being called a freak."

"You're right," Alfie sighed, "do you think he'd hear me out if I apologised?"

"I'm certain that he would."

[a/n I really didn't like this chapter like idk I just don't think it's that good but oh well it's kind of just a filler chapter anyway lol]
