Chapter 175

"I can't believe I forgot to tell you," Adria gasped suddenly, looking up from her book and to Sirius who lay in bed. she sat crossed legged at the bottom of the bed, throwing her book to the side, she pushed herself up and beside him, nudging him ever so slightly as his eyes drooped, and his lips parted, "Sirius!"

"Wha- Addy, I was sleeping," he pouted, a chuckle falling from his lips at the sheepish look etched across Adria's features, and soon did he reach his hand up, moving the stray hairs away from her face, pulling her down to connect their lips together, "now what do you want?"

"You, mostly," Adria hummed, falling beside him with a cheeky grin covering her lips, and soon did she slip under the quilt, snuggling close to his side whilst he wrapped his arm tightly around her, pressing his lips to her forehead, "but I forgot to tell you something, and it's been on my mind for so long!"

"How long?"

"Like a month, I have no idea!" she exclaimed, her hand trailing small patterns along his skin, "I keep remembering it, and I haven't really told anyone because they don't know about her, but it's been eating me ali-"

"Addy, who?!" Sirius cut her off, laughing softly when she blushed red, burying her face into his chest whilst he pulled her closer.

"Ethel, sorry," she giggled, unable to shake the feeling of wanting him closer to her, even though it seemed to be physically impossible, "I think, well- there is a possibility, but I'm not entirely sure, I mean I could be completely off, it could just be a coincidence-"

"Baby!" Sirius laughed, attacking her with kisses to cut her off, and soon did he whisper, "come on, love, just tell me."

"I think she had a son," Adria whispered, suddenly sitting up, leaning on him as she turned, "Isaac told me of this boy he knew, who is an orphan, by the way, and how they still keep in touch even though they met when Isaac was twelve, I thought it was adorable, and he was telling us about him.

His name is Aaron, he's two years older than Isaac and Blair, and he's basically homeless, he train hops to sleep and busks with a guitar he nicked so that he can earn money for food and stuff, so the two met him one time when they were adventuring, and him and Isaac kept in contact, I just couldn't help but think this was so cute, and Isaac was clearly loving talking about him, he had this glint in his eye, the same one Milo has when he talks about Finn, or Lily with James, Blair with Remus, Peter with Thea, heck even me with you, it's love, and he even admitted to liking him a whole lot.

By the looks of it, they send each other letters a lot, and the thing is, Isaac never talks about the fact that he's an orphan, he went looking for his mum - I think, a few years ago, searching for her, and I think he found her, but she just wasn't interested in him, and that broke my heart, because Isaac deserves the world, he doesn't need any hatred, he is so wonderful and like my brother, and I just love him with all of my heart, but I'm getting off track.

Alright, okay, so anyway, this boy Aaron - Isaac was telling us about how he adored his mum when he was younger and carries lots of pictures about with him, I need to ask Isaac if he's ever seen her, maybe he could describe her for me.

Yes but, Aaron is a year older than me, he was five when his mother died and a year before, he was put into an orphanage because she was getting sicker and sicker. Ethel went travelling for a long while, and my mum could only contact her with letters, I found some of those letters before, and I can't remember the name but I remember them talking about someone that I didn't know.

I think it could be Aaron.

I think my mum knew of him, but then, why didn't she say? If she knew of him why didn't she search for him so that she could help him?!

Well, anyway, his mum died of cancer when he was five, and I was four when Ethel died, I was so young but I remember it well, I remember asking mum why she wasn't coming back, and mum saying she was having a party in the sky that we could attend someday, and mum was distraught but I just, I have this feeling that Aaron is Ethel's son.

Not to mention his last name is Witherbay, that can't just be a coincidence, there is no way of it, I'm positive that he's her son, and I want to meet him, I want to see him, what if he is?! Then dad could take him in, dad was Ethel's best friend too, if Ethel had a son then he deserves to know, he deserves to meet him, and he would take care of him no doubt.

I mean the boy is bloody homeless, says he couldn't stand the orphanage so much to the point that train hopping to live was so much better, well that's what Isaac said, dad could help him, he could be there for him, so could I!" Adria exclaimed, her head falling onto Sirius' chest when she had finished talking, feeling his hand running through her hair softly as she lay there.

"Merlin," he whispered, taking a deep breath, "well it seems obvious that he's her son, but how do we go about telling Isaac that your dead mum and the boy he fancies dead mum used to be best friends?"

"There was about eighty different ways you could have said that sentence, and you chose the worst one," Adria glared at him, earning a quick 'sorry' in return, "I have no idea though, I mean, we could write him a letter and hope for the best, it means we don't have to face him, but I'm certain that if we wrote him a letter he'd come knocking down that door."

"You can't write him a letter, Addy," Sirius scoffed, shaking his head, "Dear Isaac, I know I see you every day and that I'm a big wuss and unable to say this to your face but the boy you fancies mum and my mum where best friends, and are probably having a party up in heaven."

"You know you could at least pretend to take this seriously," Adria huffed, slapping her hand over his mouth when he attempted to say the stupid excuse for a joke, "don't you even dare, I'm going to pretend to be mad at you now, so kiss me or something."

Sirius smirked with amusement as he watched Adria turn over in the bed, facing away from him and pulling the quilt over her head so that she wouldn't show herself laughing at him, "baby," Sirius trailed off, slipping his arm around her waist, but she kept herself there.

"I promise I'll take it siriusly," Sirius whispered in her ear, resulting in her suddenly turning around to face him.

"You did not just say that!" she exclaimed, whacking his shoulder whilst his loud laughs filled the dormitory, "I can't bloody believe you, Sirius Black, look I just want to meet this boy, he really could be Ethel's son, I mean, imagine that, technically, in a way, that makes us cousins, well to me it does, and I want to meet him, and I want him to be alright, for Isaac, too, because he's really worried about him."

"I get that, baby," Sirius mumbled, kissing her cheek softly, "but what happens if Isaac doesn't believe you, or needs proof, can you give him that proof? Can you give this Aaron this proof? And what does it prove if you do know him? this boy has never been in your life, nor your dads, you can't just expect him to take him in, no matter his relation to Isaac, your dad doesn't know him!"

"I know," she groaned, "but if It's Ethel's son, then knowing him or not, my dad would do something, he'd have to, he loves Ethel, and she was like a sister to him, he loved her so much and if he ever knew of this son, if he ever met him then he would love him too, he would take him in and neither of us could deny that."

"Right, true," Sirius nodded, cupping her cheek, "but you are getting far too worked up over this, baby girl, come on, let's talk about something else."

"Alright," Adria nodded, pushing herself closer to him, "what should we talk about?"

"Hmm, well, why don't we talk about the future?" asked Sirius, "particularly our future, and I don't mean like a few months down the line after school, I'm talking about twenty years down the line."

She smiled softly as she wrapped her arm around him, soon whispering, "well what do you think will happen?"

"Well, we'll live in a house just outside the city, I think," Sirius whispered, softly brushing her ear as he spoke, "with about four children, and I'd say we'd have them pretty young, so at thirty-seven, two of them would be at Hogwarts, ones already fifteen by then, and we're wondering how we're still so young but have a fifteen year old.

And she's a Hufflepuff, because let's face it, if we didn't have at least one hufflepuff child then something is wrong, and we get her and her twelve year old brother from the platform at kings cross, and her brother runs up to us and hugs the twins in the pram, because of course at thirty seven, we're still so in love that babies are popping up all over the place, and the twelve year old is a little sly bugger, and he's smirking as he waits for his sister, and we're wondering why, and then look at that, his Hufflepuff sister is wandering over to us with the brightest smile on her face.

And my arm is around you, laughing and then I look over, and my face drops because who is that boy holding my daughter's hand, and why is she leaning in to kiss him, and you hide my eyes whilst you laugh with our son who is contently winding up the twins, and I have to stand there trying not to kill the boy calling me sir.

Then obvious James, Remus and Peter come over with their families, and they see what happens, and as a group, Me, Peter, James and Remus all grab the boy and throw him away because no one is allowed near any daughter of mine, and she whines 'dad!' because obviously, I'll be embarrassing, there's no denying that, but she loves me anyway, and we're all just happy.

And if Remus and Blair have a kid, which they obviously will, our son and their child will get married, so in a way we'll be officially related to Remus and Blair, and hopefully we can have more so that we can be related to James and Lily and Peter and Thea too. Not to mention Finn and Milo will adopt or something, and our future is going to be happy.

And no war now is ever going to break any of us apart, we're going to have a bright future, the war now, the dark lord, the fear, the horror isn't going to stop us from living our life, or our friends from living theirs," Sirius whispered, completely oblivious to Adria's heart swelling in her chest, "I don't know, maybe that is a warped version of our future but its-"

"Perfect," Adria cut him off, slowly pressing her lips to his, cupping his cheek as she done so, "absolutely perfect."
