Chapter 157

It was the early hours of the morning when Adria pulled herself from Sirius' grip, a tired sigh tumbling from her lips, hearing the boy beside her stir in his sleep, his eyes tiredly fluttering opening at the lack of Adria in his arms, a frown evidently placed upon his lips at the emptiness he felt without anything to hold, without her to hold.

She turned at his voice whispering, "Adria?" a small smile of adoration pulling at her lips as she pushed herself down onto the bed, cupping his cheeks whilst she hovered over him ever so slightly, pressing kisses to every inch of his face, stroking his hair as she did so.

"Go back to sleep, baby," she whispered, a last kiss to his lips, feeling his arms reach for her but failing in his tired state, an annoyed grumble falling from his lips like an irritated toddler who didn't get what they wanted.

"I can only sleep with you beside me, love," he pouted, sneaking his arm around her waist, ignoring her quiet protests whilst his kisses mimicked hers, sloppy, tired kisses placed to her skin, hearing her soft giggles through the room.

"We both know that's not true," she laughed, turning in his grip, cupping his cheek, "I'm so in love with you."

His eyes brightened ever so slightly, the words had such an effect on him whenever they left her lips, nuzzling closer to her, he kissed her nose, allowing her head to cuddle into the warm of his neck. He had never heard the words growing up, love, he never understood it, never understood how a four-letter word could mean so much, could be so powerful, with so much emotion and feeling and happiness until Adria walked into his life.

She was a breath of fresh air, a light in the darkness, she showed him what it was like to be loved, what it was like to have a family there for you, and be there, "you have no idea how much I love that, Adria."

She pulled herself away at the sound of her name, her full first name, it was odd hearing him say it instead of Addy, or love, or baby girl, it was foreign, actually, but he was serious, literally, his eyes bore into his when she found them, her lips parted, "are you alright, love?"

"I'm perfect," he mumbled, pushing himself forward to capture her lips, feeling the move of her lips against his, she was smiling, "I grew up with a family that didn't love me, with a brother who grew to hate me, I didn't know love until Hogwarts, I didn't know how to express the fact that I liked you, a whole lot actually, so I teased you, and humiliated you, stupidly, merlin why did you even forgive me?"

"So, you're telling me I shouldn't have forgiven you?" she asked, throwing her leg over his to get closer to him, as well as to get more comfortable, she was most certainly teasing him, her eyebrow raised, a soft laugh tumbling from her lips.

"In a way," Sirius smirked, his hand slipping under her - his- t-shirt, tracing his fingertips along the warm skin of her waist, "but merlin, I'm so happy you did. you showed me what it was like to have a normal family, a loving family, you are the definition of the word love, Adria, because I wouldn't have been able to say I loved someone until I met you."

"But you love the boys?" she whispered, her heart thumping in her chest, eyes wide with adoration, cheeks spread red, he was still able to have an effect on her, still able to make her blush, to speed her heart, and merlin, she loved it.

"I know," he nodded, gripping her closer, "but I wouldn't have known that without you. When you tell, me you love me, every time you have so much meaning to your voice, you mean it every time, you have this smile on your face, bloody hell your smile, oh god I could stare at it all day, I could stare at you all day!"

She danced her fingers along his cheek, her face red with blood, her eyes filled with so much love, and soon did she push herself forward, her lips finding his softly, moving slowly, savouring the taste, the feeling of his lips connecting with hers, it was perfect.

"You know I did have a reason for getting up," Adria whispered, her lips brushing his as she talked, "I was going to get Jude."

"Why?" asked Sirius, his forehead resting on hers, his hand moving to her thigh, pulling her closer to him until she was straddling his hips, "is he crying? Is he alright?"

"As far as I know, he's sleeping," Adria giggled, "b-but well," she took a deep breath, she knew that she could tell Sirius, she was actually hoping that he would join her, "I think it's time that he meets mum."

"Wha- oh, Adria," Sirius gasped softly, "stay here baby."

"Where are you going?" she asked, rolling off him onto her bed, watching him stand suddenly, a frown attacking her lips.

"I'll be back in a few moments," he smiled, kissing her forehead before exiting the room.

She lay there for a few moments on her own, hearing the creaking of the floorboards, indicating that someone was awake in her home, which of course, happened to be Sirius. She was sure that he was off to get Jude, even though she was perfectly capable of doing it herself, she wasn't complaining about the warmth of her bed.

"Siri, Siri, guess what, Siri," the excited voice of Jude was heard in the hall, "Siri, listen to me!"

"I'm listening," Sirius laughed softly, running his hand through the boy's morning hair as he held him in his arm, "so I'm guessing you had fun then?"

"Oh yeah!" Jude exclaimed, earning a quiet laugh from Sirius who was trying to quiet him down, "I met this uh, you know, um-"

"Take your time, bud," Sirius grinned as he entered Adria's room, watching Jude as his attention fell from the previous subject of the dream he was telling Sirius about and to Adria who he was trying his best to get to.

"Addy!" he screeched, falling onto her bed, crawling towards her excitedly and soon jumping on her stomach whilst she let out a groan.

"Oh merlin, Jude," she giggled, gripping the boy as he laughed loudly, "you have to be quiet, baby, everyone's sleeping!"

"It's Siri's fault," Jude whispered, falling beside Adria before quickly jumping up, waddling carefully on the bed until he was in front of Sirius, his head falling onto the boy's chest and soon did he reach for his arm, falling back onto the bed and gesturing for Sirius to follow his lead.

Sirius chuckled as he climbed into the bed beside Adria, and soon did Jude crawl between them, his legs sprawled over Adria's stomach and his head leaning on Sirius' shoulder, "I was thinking Jude-"

"Did it hurt?" Jude asked, soon bursting into a fit of giggles, "Benny told me to say that one time!"

Adria couldn't help her laugh as she moved to tickle her brother, shaking her head ever so slightly at the boy, "I was thinking that maybe we should visit mummy today, how does that sound?"

"B-but mummy is having a party in the sky," Jude whispered, crawling onto Sirius' chest, and soon turning his head to face Adria, a frown attacking his lips, "daddy said we couldn't visit because we wouldn't be able to come back."

"Well there's a place we can go not far from here, and mummy can meet us there," Adria whispered, reaching for his hand, "but we can't see her."

"Is she invisible?!" Jude gasped, wide eyed, turning to look at Sirius who mimicked the boys shocked look with his own, "oh melon!"

Adria had to clasp her hand over her lips to stop herself from giggling when she heard the boy say 'oh melon' in a best attempt at saying 'merlin' but wasn't able to pronounce it properly, Adria didn't realise that her and Sirius had rubbed off on the boy so much, but here he was using a wizarding phrase as a muggle.

"Addy?" Jude whispered, his hand gripping Sirius' shirt as he lay on him, his small legs falling over the side of Sirius' chest whilst his head faced Adria.

"Yes, baby?" asked Adria, pushing herself closer to him, Sirius' arm slipping around her waist to hold her up as she talked to him.

"D-does mummy not love me?" he asked, tears forming in his wide eyes, the words alone where enough to break both Adria and Sirius' hearts, an aching forming in Adria's stomach at the look on the boy's face.

She reached for his hand, allowing him to wrap his hand around her fingers tightly, a sigh tumbling from her lips, and soon did she push herself forward, pressing her lips to his forehead softly, "oh baby, no," she shook her head furiously, "mummy loves you so much, but her party in the sky is because she wasn't allowed to stay down here with you and me."

"What is a mummy, Addy, why can't she be here?" asked Jude, tears streaming down his face, he didn't understand his sadness, but he longed for the woman he couldn't have.

"She takes care of you, Jude, she loves you very much, it was her time to go, but she will always love you," Adria mumbled into the boy's forehead, cupping his head softly, trying her best not to allow her tears to spill.

Sirius realised then and there how strong Adria could be, he didn't understand how it was possible for her not to crack under the sadness clouding the room, he was biting back the tears himself, if Jude even tried to talk to him he was sure his voice would crack, but Adria still kept herself calm, her voice smooth, soft, soothing.

"B-but you take care of me," Jude cried, "but you're Addy!"

"I know baby," Adria sat up, pulling him into her lap, cuddling him closer to her, "I love you so much, my little prince, and Siri loves you too, don't you?"

"Forever and ever," Sirius smiled softly, pressing a kiss to the boy's head.

"And daddy loves you, so does Alina, Alfie, Benji, Lia, Arden, and mummy loves you too, but she isn't here to tell you that, so I'm gonna do it for her," Adria whispered, "we love you very much, baby, and even though mummy can't be here, she sends her love, and we can visit her, she may be invisible, and she may not be able to respond but she's listening to what we have to say, and she'll always be there to listen."

"B-but when did mummy go away?" asked Jude, turning his head to stare at Adria with his big eyes that resembled his mother, his cheeks red and his face stained with tears.

"A while ago, and she didn't want to, Jude, but she had to, she's an angel, and she looks over us, and some day, years and years from now, we'll both join in on her party in the sky, and it'll be very fun!" Adria tried her best to lighten the boy's mood as he sat cross legged on her legs, and soon did he nod his small head, reaching forward to play with the hem of Sirius' shirt that she wore.

"Will Siri be there too?" asked Jude, his head titled, snapping back to Sirius who soon sat up, lifting Jude from Adria's grip whilst the boy giggled, "will you, Siri?"

"Of course, I will," Sirius smiled, pressing a kiss to Jude's nose, "but before we party with your mummy, why don't me, you and Adria live together forever and ever?"

Jude couldn't help but giggle, "she was your mummy too, right?"

"In a way," Adria smiled softly, "she acted like it."

"She was simply amazing," Sirius mumbled, kissing Jude's forehead when the boy pressed his head to Sirius' lips, "and she loves you very much."

"Well I love you very much," Jude giggled, thrusting his hand out, and soon pulling on Adria's arm, "Addy, too!"

[A/N I have a lot to talk about and if you haven't read authors notes I suggest you read this one.

Alright so I'm going to start off on a lighter note because I'm still laughing at this and I'm lowkey proud of myself.

So a bit of background, I am from Scotland and the stereotypes for Scottish people are hilarious, and I have a group chat with my best friends - who read poems, also if you comment your kik name if you have it you can join - and someone asked me to give them facts about Scotland.

So me and erumpent (Riley) decided to give some fake facts about Scotland.

And well, they believed us.

To avoid confusion as to who is falling for the prank, this is Riley

There is more of us in the chat who didn't read it but my angel Gen freemindhs fell for it the most she is such a sweetheart.
