Chapter 150

"You alright, Lia?" asked Adria as she sat with the girl at the at the Slytherin table, watching the girl as she looked past Adria at something - or rather, someone - behind her. The girl snapped from her daze, her eyebrows knitted together as she looked at Adria, her head titled as she stared at Adria.

"Wha- I'm fine," she shrugged, forcing a smile onto her lips, a sigh floating through the air curtsey of the girl, "I'm perfectly fine sitting on my own most days, and getting stood up, it's perfectly alright for me to wait around out in the courtyard for an hour waiting for my best friend, only for her to show up with her boyfriend."

Adria sighed, sending her a sympathetic smile, "Alina is doing that?"

Lia's shoulders slumped, a frown taking over her lips, "I understand that she wants to spend time with Jesse, and he's not too bad, he's alright, I suppose, but she spends all of her time with him. Even Eliot, who has apologised with a good enough bloody excuse as to why he didn't defend her has noticed, she's ignoring us for him, and I love her, she'll always be my best friend, and I know this is her first boyfriend, but Sirius is your first boyfriend, and you're here with me!"

"She shouldn't be doing that, Lia," Adria sighed, "I love her with all my heart, and I love you too, and I suppose Jesse isn't a bad bloke, but that doesn't give her any excuse to ignore her friends for him. Friends are forever, and whilst Jesse might be too, that still doesn't give her any right, even if they want to spend their time together, they still need to realise that their friends should be a priority too. You and Alina have been friends for years, she shouldn't ignore you for him, she shouldn't stand you up, it's not her, it's unfair!"

"I don't want her getting upset," Lia whispered quietly, her eyes on the ground, "I just- It's just upsetting, I suppose."

"Lia, she's a big girl, she should know right from wrong, and this is definitely wrong, I'm not going to let her get away with this," Adria tutted, her eyebrows knitted together, "it's not fair!"

"But-" Lia cut herself off, running a hand through her blue hair, a puff of air floating from her lips, "I don't want her hating me."

"I won't mention you, if you don't want me to-"

"No," Lia shook her head, "I want you too."

"Alright," Adria smiled softly, leaning over to squeeze Lia's hand comfortingly, "Lia I'm your best friend, I know that I don't hang out with you as much as I'd wished too, but that was only because I knew you had Alina, but now that she's going with Jesse, you are more than welcome to join me and the group, you're always welcome, everyone loves you!"

"I don't want you thinking that I'm just there because Alina isn't here anymore," Lia mumbled softly, her eyes on the table whilst Adria sighed.

"I'd never think that, in fact, I miss you, Lia, I barely see you anymore, so whenever I do see you, it's great, if I knew this was happening I would have made sure to say something a long time ago, I'm going to talk to Eliot too," Adria sighed, "I wouldn't get involved in Alina's life if it wasn't something important, but if one of my friends left me because of their boyfriend, and started standing me up, I wouldn't be happy, it's wrong, and cruel, and I won't tolerate it from my sister who knows better than to do this!"

"But what if it's not her, but Jesse?" Lia asked, shaking her head as she spoke, "I don't know, though, I'm sure I saw Jesse with his friends not too long ago."

"So where was Alina?"

"I really don't know, I don't know if I've done something, or if she doesn't want to be my friend anymore," Lia whispered, her bottom lip between her teeth, closing her eyes as though she was trying to stop tears, "maybe she's sick of me?"

"No," Adria shook her head furiously, "I have a plan."

"What?"

"Well, if you don't make an effort to see her, she's going to realise, isn't she?" Adria asked, "when was the last time you asked her to hang out with you?"

"This morning, but she said she was going to Hogsmeade with Jesse," Lia huffed, shaking her head.

"Well don't ask her, anymore," Adria said, leaning forward, "if she isn't going to make an effort, then you don't either, she'll realise what she's missing. We go home in a few weeks, so if she isn't talking to you by Christmas, then I'll talk to her, or I'll just not talk to her either."

"What?!" Lia furiously shook her head, "no, I can't, Adria, that's just mean!"

"Well she doesn't think so!" Adria exclaimed, running a hand through her hair, "she's my sister, Lia, I don't know what's going on with her, she doesn't sound like the Allie I know, it's cruel for you, and hurtful, so maybe giving her a taste of her own medicine will finally make her see that what she's doing isn't fair, because it really isn't, it's terrible, and as horrible as it sounds, she doesn't sound like a very good friend right now!"

"I know," Lia frowned, finally rolling her eyes in annoyance, "It's frustrating, I admit, it's irritating too, I've been there for her through everything, never asking for anything in return, and I don't want anything in return because she's my best friend, and that's what friends are for, I love her, really, but I just feel like I don't have her anymore, she knows I love her, did you know that? so what if she thinks that it's weird now because she has a boyfriend, and I still like her, but I would never do anything to break them up, never, her happiness means so much more to me!"

"Lia, honestly, she's straying from what is important, and you are definitely important to her, Jesse should be too, of course, but I could never live without my friends, and you are clearly a wonderful friend," Adria tutted, shaking her head, "I'm sorry, Lia."

"Don't be, Addy," Lia forced a smile, glancing at the Gryffindor table when Alina started laughing, her hand on Jesse's arm and her legs draped over his as he swooped down to attack her lips when she stopped laughing, a frown decorating Lia's lips when Alina's hand found the side of his face, pushing her lips more forcefully onto his, "excuse me, I think falling of the astronomy tower is better than witnessing that."

"You gonna make me moan, Ramona?!" Lia frowned as she turned around, stumbling to a stop as she watched two boys unfamiliar to her harassing a girl walking quietly down the hall, her glasses almost falling off of her face as she gripped tightly to the books in her hand, almost stumbling as one of the boys threw his arm around her, "come on Ramona, come back to my dorm, will ya?"

Lia's eyes narrowed as she watched the boy attempting to pull her in the other direction when the girl, Ramona, clearly didn't want to go with him, "maybe you can bring one of your girlfriends?"

"Yeah Ramona, co-" the boy's friend who was about to grab Ramona stopped, covering his nose when he started furiously sneezing, covering his hand over his mouth with wide eyes as the uncontrollable sneezing caused him to fall into the wall, a yelp leaving his lips when he bumped his head.

Lia smirked as she gripped her wand, watching the boy trying to guide Ramona whilst she frowned, and soon did Lia whisper, "Colloshoo," watching the boy almost fall forward when his shoes stuck to the ground, a wide grin erupting on Lia's lips as she tucked her wand back into her pocket, casually walking towards the commotion.

"Ramona!" she exclaimed, watching the girl's head snap up with a confused frown and furrowed eyebrows, "I've been looking everywhere for you, come on, let's leave these idiots here."

Ramona soon seemed to catch on to what Lia was saying, and soon did she nod furiously, rushing over to her without so much as a second glance in the boys direction, "thank you," she mumbled quietly, looking at Lia who grinned, shaking her head.

"It's alright," she rolled her eyes, "they're just idiots, they had it coming."

"They've been doing it all year," Ramona whispered, frowning as she clutched her books tighter to her chest, "someone who I thought was my friend decided to out me."

"They didn't!" Lia gasped, clasping her hand over her mouth, her eyes wide.

"Yup, did it in the common room, and it's been spreading around fifth year like wildfire," Ramona sighed, shaking her head, "I'm bisexual, you see, I suppose telling the girl who saved me isn't such a bad thing, and well, now all I get is disgusting boy's asking if I'll do it with them, and bring my girlfriends along, truth is I haven't even been with a girl before- and please don't make me hate you by saying ' then how do you know that you like girls' because-"

"Don't worry," Lia scoffed, cutting her off suddenly, "I think I'm the last person you'd hear that from, really."

"Why?" Ramona asked, her voice just seemed naturally quiet to Lia, well it seemed like that anyway.

"I'm a lesbian," she shrugged, "but I've only kissed a girl once and even before that I knew I was a lesbian, I've never been attracted to boys."

"Oh, I've never met someone like me before," Ramona sighed, running a hand through her long hair, "well- I mean, liking girls...as a girl, I like boys, too, but you like girls, like I do, and that's what I mean, I've never met someone who-" she cut herself off when Lia's laugh rang through the air, and soon did she turn to the blue haired girl with flushed cheeks, "was I rambling? I tend to do that, I think, well, that's what my parents used to say, I just think of words, and then I can't stop, I just keep going- oh merlin, I'm doing it right now, I'm rambling!"

Lia couldn't help her giggles as she walked with the girl, "I like you, Ramona, you're funny."

"More like embarrassing," mumbled Ramona, shaking her head, "but thank you, I uh, I don't exactly know your name."

"Oh!" Lia grinned, "Lia, well, Ophelia, but it's a bit formal, don't you think? Well, I do anyway, so please call me Lia!"

Ramona smiled softly, nodding her head so much that her glasses fell to the side ever so slightly, quickly rushing to fix it, her cheeks tinging pink as she done so, "alright, I like your name, it's lovely."

"So is yours!" Lia nodded, biting her lip as she turned to the girl who stood a few inches taller than her, "so does this mean that we're friends, of course, seeing as I now know your name, and you know mine, it definitely should mean that!"

"Oh yes," Ramona nodded, "I could use a friend with lovely fashion sense," she giggled, gesturing to the dress that Lia wore with her converse.

"Are you kidding?" Lia scoffed, wide eyed, "my best friend is the one with fashion sense, seriously I have none!"

"Oh well I'd love to meet her," Ramona giggled, running a hand through her hair.

"Oh yeah she-" Lia cut herself off, suddenly frowning as Ramona turned to her, her eyebrows knitted together.

"You alright, Lia?" she asked, her head titled, "you went quiet."

"My best friend isn't really talking to me," she whispered, sighing softly, "she just got a boyfriend, and she kind of left me for him, and I love her so much, and her sister is like my best friend too, but it just, it's upsetting."

"Oh no," Ramona frowned, patting Lia's arm, "well I just met you, Lia, but I'm your friend, so you're definitely not alone."

Lia smiled softly, lifting her head to look at the girl, "thank you, Ramona."

Okay so I've decided to publish the original version of Poems, I changed the name it's now called "To The Moon And Back" and it will be shorter than Poems.

It's going to be around 40-50 chapters (like the break up plan) and will be over a year or maybe two, also, the only characters able to make it into the book from poems is my oc's, I had to make more oc's as substitutes to Jk Rowling's characters, obviously because they're not mine.

Also, it's set in the modern day and I really do like it so please if you decide to read it please keep an open mind, I know that it might be odd to read Adria in a different setting with different characters but I've always wanted an original book and I thought it would be great to have it with my favourite oc's

Also, I'm taking the plot loosely from Poems and also from The Break Up Plan so if you've read that then you know this book will be crazy (and terribly sad) okay thank you so much for reading this, I know that my updates for poems has been lacking a little but I'm hoping to stop that]
